Prayers to you and your family.

Thank you for celebrating his life with us in the history you have given us. Seems the entire family is carrying on the tradition and he must have been very proud of all of you, as you are of him.

I pray he is at peace. God bless you all.

I'm not an expert on this, but I checked my digital shots, taken with a Nikon D50s. Using Corel Photo Album I can access the EXIF information that is contained on each photograph. This contains a wealth of information including the date/time the photo was taken, changed, resolution, exposure, color info -- a whole bunch of stuff.

I'm not sure if one can access the EXIF information to change such things as the original date/time the shot was taken (I don't have larceny in my heart so I've never investigated whether or not this is possible), but I'm sure some other photog hobbyists or pros out here can supply that info. However, what I've found out is that even if I move these pics around and save them to other computers, even though the date/timestamp the system puts on the file, does not change the date/time the pic was taken.

I'm sure other software for photos allows you to see this EXIF info too -- that's why I on my wife's camera (she uses another make) I don't have the date/time info show up on the pic ... it's distracting, and we can always find out when it was taken by displaying the EXIF info.

Hope this helped a bit ...

You should have been at the Albertson's at Stearns and Los Angeles Ave.

I thought I would be tied up in Ventura until mid afternoon but got out early. On the way home, going down Tiera Rejada there were sine folks on the side of the road looking at the back of the Library in hopes to see the Blue Angels. But it was so overcast we could barely see the library and the new building.

So I left to go to Border's to grab a cheap book for my up-coming trip to Arizona next week -- got a hard covered Ludlum for $7. Anyhoo ...

On to home, but was going to stop off at the cheap cig store by Albertson's. Man, school busses were lined up nose to butt on the street side of that field they sometimes use for soccer at the back of Albertson's ... SS all over the place, Simi cops, couple of fire dept trucks, SWAT (or military), and then I saw the 4 helicopters!

Found a spot to park but couldn't walk to a good vantage point to see W, Laura, et. al., board the back most chopper (bad back pain today and can't walk too much). But I saw all 4 take off. Quite a little crowd there.

DRAT! If I would have known I would have borrowed a digital camera from someone to snap some pics and get a better street side position.

But at least I saw him take off LOL.

LOL almost a 3-year-old thread. I forgot all about it!

There are days I believe it's Lovelady on the stairs and other times I don't. I'm not a big reasearcher in this area but since the original date of this thread I've looked at almost everything I could find on the web, newsgroups, and in my library. Sometimes I think it's Lovelady and other times ??? (especially when I get caught up in the reasons that I could have been Oswald).

Yeah right in the first chapter she brags about how great and thorough her fact checking is, then she says buckhead posted his debunking of her story before it even aired on TV. He posted hours afterwards. Gross error right in the beginning of the book that a quick check would have revealed.

OK, now she's going to say that PJ-Comix blew her out of the water before she was even published! LOL

Man, you couldn't write stuff like this -- who would believe it! ;)

In her next book, Grounded Before Flying she will relate how she was maligned, misquoted, and taken out of context (although PJ posted the entire contents) by "the evil right wing blogs" in an attempt to quash the selling of her tome before it was even published.

Due to circumstances I'm just doing a speed read through this thread.

Good to hear you and yours are safe, and for your reliable reports.

One question popped into my head and it might be something already covered in a subsequent post, but do you know if the stadium has cameras at the entrances to monitor for any gate crashers, etc? If so, and if they are left on for the entire game, perhaps the investigating bodies already have a "make" on those who ran into the stadium following the blast and are already scanning school records for any students that may match.

    Just a thought ...

Charles, I'm not a good detective and I've already come across the ones you've posted.

But for you detectives out there ... here's a post with some further details of what she was involved in ... Just a short quote:

I have been sitting in front of this screen allowing my emotions to remember something that I have kept quiet for a long time. I feel like I am ready to speak. First, Cindy, this is for you, I understand on a miniscule level what it is you are trying to tackle. I attempted something of a smaller proportions in Omaha in 1988 when someone tried to take my child away from me. His name was Bill Baker and he was connected, unbeknowns to me, to the Franklin Credit Union, entire corruption on the City of Omaha, from the Police Chief Wadman, to the media Peter Citron to the corporate and on and on. But where it eventually landed was at the steps of the Republican party run by none other then Papa Bush.

There's other clues there if you scroll down which no doubt would be interesting for someone who knows how to investigate old newspaper articles.

BTW, anyone else want to join in just Google lynettebro440. Anyway, I must disinfect now ...

Haven't much time, but I got a few links from a Google search (tons o' links for this out there):

    lamm+how+to+destroy+america

The first link is from Snopes and according to them, although the original text was taken from the internet, they got in touch with Lamm:

Origins: Richard D. Lamm was a Democrat who served as governor of Colorado for twelve years from 1975 to 1987. Of the above-quoted third person account regarding his speech on the perils of multiculturalism, he told us in mid-June 2005:

Yes, it is a speech I gave a year and a half ago in Washington D.C. It was a 5 minute speech, and I am amazed and gratified it has received so much coverage.

He also passed along to us the following "revised version" of his speech:

    ==================================================
I apologize for all caps. I cut 'n pasted this directly
from Snopes and didn't have time to re-type it.

    ==================================================

I HAVE A PLAN TO DESTROY AMERICA
    RICHARD D. LAMM

I HAVE A SECRET PLAN TO DESTROY AMERICA. IF YOU BELIEVE, AS MANY DO, THAT AMERICA IS TOO SMUG, TOO WHITE BREAD, TOO SELF-SATISFIED, TOO RICH, LETS DESTROY AMERICA. IT IS NOT THAT HARD TO DO. HISTORY SHOWS THAT NATIONS ARE MORE FRAGILE THAN THEIR CITIZENS THINK. NO NATION IN HISTORY HAS SURVIVED THE RAVAGES OF TIME. ARNOLD TOYNBEE OBSERVED THAT ALL GREAT CIVILIZATIONS RISE AND THEY ALL FALL, AND THAT "AN AUTOPSY OF HISTORY WOULD SHOW THAT ALL GREAT NATIONS COMMIT SUICIDE." HERE IS MY PLAN:

    I. WE MUST FIRST MAKE AMERICA A BILINGUAL-BICULTURAL COUNTRY. HISTORY SHOWS, IN MY OPINION, THAT NO NATION CAN SURVIVE THE TENSION, CONFLICT, AND ANTAGONISM OF TWO COMPETING LANGUAGES AND CULTURES. IT IS A BLESSING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL TO BE BILINGUAL; IT IS A CURSE FOR A SOCIETY TO BE BILINGUAL. ONE SCHOLAR, SEYMOUR MARTIN LIPSET, PUT IT THIS WAY:

THE HISTORIES OF BILINGUAL AND BICULTURAL SOCIETIES THAT DO NOT ASSIMILATE ARE HISTORIES OF TURMOIL, TENSION, AND TRAGEDY. CANADA, BELGIUM, MALAYSIA, LEBANON-ALL FACE CRISES OF NATIONAL EXISTENCE IN WHICH MINORITIES PRESS FOR AUTONOMY, IF NOT INDEPENDENCE. PAKISTAN AND CYPRUS HAVE DIVIDED. NIGERIA SUPPRESSED AN ETHNIC REBELLION. FRANCE FACES DIFFICULTIES WITH ITS BASQUES, BRETONS, AND CORSICANS.

II. I WOULD THEN INVENT "MULTICULTURALISM" AND ENCOURAGE IMMIGRANTS TO MAINTAIN THEIR OWN CULTURE. I WOULD MAKE IT AN ARTICLE OF BELIEF THAT ALL CULTURES ARE EQUAL: THAT THERE ARE NO CULTURAL DIFFERENCES THAT ARE IMPORTANT. I WOULD DECLARE IT AN ARTICLE OF FAITH THAT THE BLACK AND HISPANIC DROPOUT RATE IS ONLY DUE TO PREJUDICE AND DISCRIMINATION BY THE MAJORITY. EVERY OTHER EXPLANATION IS OUT-OF-BOUNDS.

III. WE CAN MAKE THE UNITED STATES A "HISPANIC QUEBEC" WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT. THE KEY IS TO CELEBRATE DIVERSITY RATHER THAN UNITY. AS BENJAMIN SCHWARZ SAID IN THE ATLANTIC MONTHLY RECENTLY:

...THE APPARENT SUCCESS OF OUR OWN MULTIETHNIC AND MULTICULTURAL EXPERIMENT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED NOT BY TOLERANCE BUT BY HEGEMONY. WITHOUT THE DOMINANCE THAT ONCE DICTATED ETHNOCENTRICALLY, AND WHAT IT MEANT TO BE AN AMERICAN, WE ARE LEFT WITH ONLY TOLERANCE AND PLURALISM TO HOLD US TOGETHER.

I WOULD ENCOURAGE ALL IMMIGRANTS TO KEEP THEIR OWN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE. I WOULD REPLACE THE MELTING POT METAPHOR WITH A SALAD BOWL METAPHOR. IT IS IMPORTANT TO INSURE THAT WE HAVE VARIOUS CULTURAL SUB-GROUPS LIVING IN AMERICA REINFORCING THEIR DIFFERENCES RATHER THAN AMERICANS, EMPHASIZING THEIR SIMILARITIES.

IV. HAVING DONE ALL THIS, I WOULD MAKE OUR FASTEST GROWING DEMOGRAPHIC GROUP THE LEAST EDUCATED - I WOULD ADD A SECOND UNDERCLASS, UNASSIMILATED, UNDEREDUCATED, AND ANTAGONISTIC TO OUR POPULATION. I WOULD HAVE THIS SECOND UNDERCLASS HAVE A 50% DROP OUT RATE FROM SCHOOL.

    V. I WOULD THEN GET THE BIG FOUNDATIONS AND BIG BUSINESS TO GIVE THESE EFFORTS LOTS OF MONEY. I WOULD INVEST IN ETHNIC IDENTITY, AND I WOULD ESTABLISH THE CULT OF VICTIMOLOGY. I WOULD GET ALL MINORITIES TO THINK THEIR LACK OF SUCCESS WAS ALL THE FAULT OF THE MAJORITY - I WOULD START A GRIEVANCE INDUSTRY BLAMING ALL MINORITY FAILURE ON THE MAJORITY POPULATION.

VI. I WOULD ESTABLISH DUAL CITIZENSHIP AND PROMOTE DIVIDED LOYALTIES. I WOULD "CELEBRATE DIVERSITY." "DIVERSITY" IS A WONDERFULLY SEDUCTIVE WORD. IT STRESSES DIFFERENCES RATHER THAN COMMONALITIES. DIVERSE PEOPLE WORLDWIDE ARE MOSTLY ENGAGED IN HATING EACH OTHER-THAT IS, WHEN THEY ARE NOT KILLING EACH OTHER. A DIVERSE," PEACEFUL, OR STABLE SOCIETY IS AGAINST MOST HISTORICAL PRECEDENT. PEOPLE UNDERVALUE THE UNITY IT TAKES TO KEEP A NATION TOGETHER, AND WE CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS MYOPIA. LOOK AT THE ANCIENT GREEKS. DORF'S WORLD HISTORY TELLS US:

THE GREEKS BELIEVED THAT THEY BELONGED TO THE SAME RACE; THEY POSSESSED A COMMON LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE; AND THEY WORSHIPED THE SAME GODS. ALL GREECE TOOK PART IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES IN HONOR OF ZEUS AND ALL GREEKS VENERATED THE SHRINE OF APOLLO AT DELPHI. A COMMON ENEMY PERSIA THREATENED THEIR LIBERTY. YET, ALL OF THESE BONDS TOGETHER WERE NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO OVERCOME TWO FACTORS . . . (LOCAL PATRIOTISM AND GEOGRAPHICAL CONDITIONS THAT NURTURED POLITICAL DIVISIONS . . .)

IF WE CAN PUT THE EMPHASIS ON THE "PLURIBUS," INSTEAD OF THE "UNUM," WE CAN BALKANIZE AMERICA AS SURELY AS KOSOVO.

VII. THEN I WOULD PLACE ALL THESE SUBJECTS OFF LIMITS - MAKE IT TABOO TO TALK ABOUT. I WOULD FIND A WORD SIMILAR TO "HERETIC" IN THE 16TH CENTURY - THAT STOPPED DISCUSSION AND PARALYZED THINKING. WORDS LIKE "RACIST", "XENOPHOBE" THAT HALTS ARGUMENT AND CONVERSATION.

HAVING MADE AMERICA A BILINGUAL-BICULTURAL COUNTRY, HAVING ESTABLISHED MULTICULTURALISM, HAVING THE LARGE FOUNDATIONS FUND THE DOCTRINE OF "VICTIMOLOGY", I WOULD NEXT MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO ENFORCE OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS. I WOULD DEVELOP A MANTRA - "THAT BECAUSE IMMIGRATION HAS BEEN GOOD FOR AMERICA, IT MUST ALWAYS BE GOOD." I WOULD MAKE EVERY INDIVIDUAL IMMIGRANT SYMPATRIC AND IGNORE THE CUMULATIVE IMPACT.

VIII. LASTLY, I WOULD CENSOR VICTOR HANSON DAVIS'S BOOK MEXIFORNIA — THIS BOOK IS DANGEROUS — IT EXPOSES MY PLAN TO DESTROY AMERICA. SO PLEASE, PLEASE — IF YOU FEEL THAT AMERICA DESERVES TO BE DESTROYED — PLEASE, PLEASE — DON'T BUY THIS BOOK! THIS GUY IS ON TO MY PLAN.

"THE SMART WAY TO KEEP PEOPLE PASSIVE AND OBEDIENT IS TO STRICTLY LIMIT THE SPECTRUM OF ACCEPTABLE OPINION, BUT ALLOW VERY LIVELY DEBATE WITHIN THAT SPECTRUM." — NOAM CHOMSKY, AMERICAN LINGUIST AND US MEDIA AND FOREIGN POLICY CRITIC.

Both Governor Lamm and the writer of the e-mail misidentify the author of the book Mexifornia, whose correct name is Victor Davis Hanson.

Not to mention the environmental damage!

Aw heck, it's OK for THEM to do enviromental damage, don'tcha'know? It's only denounced and brought to the fore when OTHERS (read non-libs) do it.

Davis said she has not heard of organized efforts to counter Sheehan´s protest but that many military families wish it would end.

Davis acknowledged that she doesn´t know how she would react if one of her sons died in Iraq. But she said she would still support the war because she believes Saddam Hussein was an inhumane dictator who posed a direct threat to the U.S.

"My sons made me promise not to go off the deep end and protest if they got killed ... (because) they were doing what they wanted to do," Davis said. "They volunteered, and they very much believe in their mission."

What do the libs NOT understand here ...

I dont know whats the most ridiculous part of this photo, the gay flag, the bad hat, the goofy sunglasses, the bad goatee, or the earing.

You missed the little "Impeach Bush" sign at the top of the American Flag ... just adds a little extra "nuance" to the photo.

WD-40 does have an overwhelming odor to it though. Working on your suggestion, I'll check out the silicone-based spray lubricants ... perhaps something with graphite in it.

You see, I just don't want to ruin, or overwhelm, the flavors of the natural fish oils.

    Consumer Probe

    Consumer Reporter.....Candice Bergen
    Irwin Mainway.....Dan Aykroyd

Consumer Reporter: Good evening, and welcome to the holiday edition of "Consumer Probe". Our topic tonight is unsafe toys for children. For instance, this little bow and arrow set. [ holds up ] Pull the rubber suctions off, and the arrows become deadly missiles.

[ cut to full shot, showing Irwin Mainway seated to Joan's right ]

We have with us tonight, Mr. Irwin Mainway, President of Mainway Toys. Uh, Mr. Mainway, your company manufactures the following so-called harmless playthings: Pretty Peggy Ear-Piercing Set, Mr. Skin-Grafter, General Tron's Secret Police Confession Kit, and Doggie Dentist. And what about this innocent rubber doll, which you market under the name Johnny Switchblade? [ holds up doll ] Press his head, and two sharp knives spring from his arms. [ demonstrates ] Mr. Mainway, I'm afraid this is, by no means, a very safe toy.

Irwin Mainway: Okay, Miss, I wanna correct you, alright. The full name of this product, as it appears in stores all over the county, is Johnny Switchblade: Adventure Punk. I mean, nothing goes wrong.. little girls buy 'em, you know, they play games, they make up stories, nobody gets hurt. I mean, so Barbie takes a knife once in a while, or Ken gets cut. You know, there's no harm in that. I mean, as far as I can see, you know?

Consumer Reporter: Alright. Fine. Fine. Well, we'd like to show you another one of Mr. Mainway's products. It retails for $1.98, and it's called Bag O' Glass. [ holds up bag of glass ] Mr. Mainway, this is simply a bag of jagged, dangerous, glass bits.

Irwin Mainway: Yeah, right, it's you know, it's glass, it's broken glass, you know? It sells very well, as a matter of fact, you know? It's just broken glass, you know?

Consumer Reporter: [ laughs ] I don't understand. I mean, children could seriously cut themselves on any one of these pieces!

Irwin Mainway: Yeah, well, look - you know, the average kid, he picks up, you know, broken glass anywhere, you know? The beach, the street, garbage cans, parking lots, all over the place in any big city. We're just packaging what the kids want! I mean, it's a creative toy, you know? If you hold this up, you know, you see colors, every color of the rainbow! I mean, it teaches him about light refraction, you know? Prisms, and that stuff! You know what I mean?

Consumer Reporter: So, you don't feel that this product is dangerous?

Irwin Mainway: No! Look, we put a label on every bag that says, "Kid! Be careful - broken glass!" I mean, we sell a lot of products in the "Bag O'" line.. like Bag O' Glass, Bag O' Nails, Bag O' Bugs, Bag O' Vipers, Bag O' Sulfuric Acid. They're decent toys, you know what I mean?

Consumer Reporter: Well, I guess we could say that all of your toys are really unsafe and should rightfully be banned from the market. I guess I would just like to know what happened to the good ol' teddy bear.

Irwin Mainway: Hold on a minute, sister. I mean, we make a teddy bear. It's right here. [ picks up giant teddy bear ] It's got a nice little feature here, you see? I'll hold it up here. We call it a Teddy Chainsaw Bear. [ revs chainsaw in teddy bear's stomach ] I mean, a kid plays with saws, he can cut logs with it, you know what I mean.

Consumer Reporter: Well, this is certainly a very sad situation. One of the precious joys of Christmas warped by a ruthless profiteer like yourself.

Irwin Mainway: Well, that's just your opinion, you know what I mean?

Consumer Reporter: Well, I just don't understand why you can't make harmelss toys like these alphabet blocks. [ points to blocks ]

Irwin Mainway: C'mon, this is harmless? Alright, okay, you call this harmless? [ holds block in hand ] I mean.. [ plays with block and fakes injury ] Aagghh!! I got a splinter in here, look at that! This is wood! This is unsanded wood, it's rough!

Consumer Reporter: Alright, that's enough of this ridiculous display. [ holds toy phone ] Here is another creative toy, safe enough for a baby!

Irwin Mainway: [ grabs phone ] You say it's safe, I mean, look at this cord.. the kid is on the phone - "Hello? Hello?" - then.. [ twists cord around his neck, screams, and falls backward in chair ] You know what I mean? It's an example! You see my point, a dangerous toy like that?

Consumer Reporter: Well, let's try this one. What about this little foam play ball? I mean, even you, Mr. Mainway, can't find anything dangerous about this. Huh?

Irwin Mainway: [ takes ball, bounces it on table, then shoves it in his throat and feigns choking ]

Consumer Reporter: That's all the time we have for "Consumer Probe" this week.

    [ show fades black ]

And to think I am still waiting for my Bass-O-Matic to arrive in the mail after all these years.

I got mine yesterday. Mmmmmmmmmm, that's good bass!

Just a tip folks ... I find when using my Bass-O-Matic I have to utilize wide straws such as found at Jack In The Box. Sometimes the machine does not perform quite as it should on the "Puree" cycle, especially when one is utilizing quite a few ice cubes making the Bass-O-Frosty Recipe found on Page 21 -- in Japanese only.

For example, during the traditional 4th of July BBQ we held here, my regular size straw got plugged by an errant eye ball that was not pureed properly.

Just a word o' caution ... otherwise it works just like Akroyd said.
