What a wonderful thing...WOMEN IN CLOSE COMBAT.
Imagine the pride across America when Wounded Warrior commercials feature a 20 year of woman with half her face blown off. Of the young mother who can’t pick up her baby because she has no arms any longer. Or the delightful day when “going for a walk” means the 10 year old is pushing mommy in her wheel chair.
There is a reason, however outmoded, that the MALES of the specie did their utmost to protect their FEMALE co-speciest.

You are BOTH right AND wrong..
Yes the “media” is S00000 stupid.
No...we DO NOT have to listen to it.
Real “news” is avaailable from many sources, including the one you are reading now. To listen solely to the “media” is to have a terminally insulted intelligence. With the internet and a remote with fresh batteries, we can, for ourselves, sort of create our own media.

I believe that the huge oil tanks in super tankers, freighters, and Naval vessels also are built with internal bulkheads that allow but restrict the SLOSHING of the oil when the ship is rolling with the seas.
Ships at sea roll port to starboard (right to left) and back with a steady rhythm and also bow to stern. If a ship is low on fuel, this steady sloshing can actually result in capsize in heavy storms and seas.

Corrupting a proud tradition is P.C. Crap. Naming a ship after a president....OK kinda. After a political hack who clung to a seat in Washington....no way.

Hindenburg was the President of a country that had “lost” the 1st world war and was further devastated by the Treaty that ended it. Chaos reigned even before the disaster of the Great Dspression. Germany suffered to the point that Hindenburg, old and ill, named Hitler the Chancellor.
Merkel is the elected leader of a wealthy, successful, vibrant German nation that rose from the ashef of the Nazi era, to again take its place in Europe.
Merkel, as her policy, INVITED the chaos to her land. This is a self-inflicted wound.

I loathe J.F.Kerry, but must straighten something out.
When the elder Bush instituted a 10% LUXURY tax on so-called luxury yachts, the entire boating industry was devastated. Several builder went out of business, while the rest struggled to survive.
The then governor of Rhode Island passed as STATE policy that said that BOATS purchased, registered, and DOCKED within Rhode Island waters were free of the R.I. State SALES TAX.
That law saved some builders and greatly increased the financial health of the entire boating industry.
Millions of dollars are infused into R.I. each year as boaters from around New England and parts of New York drive to their boats on Narragansett Bay, leaving a long trail of money at boatyards, marine supply stores, restaurants, gas stations, package stores and shopping centers.
That Sales Tax elimination proved the point that the REDUCTION of taxes can well result of a vast increase of tax revenue, but from a different direction. My boat is one of those “living” in Rhode Island, but had been bought in the early 1980’s. I paid the tax.
    I still don’t like J.F. Kerry

This “social promotion” garbage is the cause from a couple of generations of adults barely “semi-literate”. Those slow readers, promoted to the next grade, are condemned to fall further and further behind the other students.
They were spared the “shame” of being “kept back”, and forced to live with the real shame of lagging being their fellow students, further behind the year. Eventually, frustration and bad feeling result in another drop-out.
The “social engineering” of social promotions is doing permanent harm to thousands of youngsters, having been cheated out of the opportunity to progress at their pace, and eventually catch up and become a fully literate adult.
From the foundation of the country unti the moodern EDUCATORS replaced teachers, the American school systems produced the most highly educated and able population in history.
Today, the main effort of the EDUCATORS is to explain why so many thousands of students are failing. They are not being given a chance to work and succeed.

When did Mitt Romney, as a candidate for the Presidency, ever display such vim, vigor, energy, passion, zeal, self-assurance, steadfastness to purpose, as when he took to the T.V. to villify and condemn the current leader in the quest for the office HE, himself, had let slip through his closed fist?

This make’s as much sense as Airborne military avoiding jump injuries by no longer staging training drops. Wait until is for real.
Or when we were getting tossed around by 10 foot waves and the B-BOX hollers “This is a drill....all hands man your battle stations.” An adventure in bouncing of vertical steel.

I think that warrior spirit is STILL outside Moscow or the outskirts of Stalingrad, or the Ardennes Forest.
The problem here, is, tragically, once again the German GOVERNMENT, betraying its own people.

Worse. How are they going to get that hurt/wounded/burnt guy DOWN a series of ladders. I served with a Chief who lived through another Kamikaze attack by, whenn trapped and unable to go UP or fore or aft, went down FOUR decks and crawled through the damage but UNDER the fire.
My shop was the rearmost on the main deck, 2 levels above.
When I reported aboard, thta chief told me to go below and search out every possible way to get the hell out of there.
I did, but never had to use the knowledge, thankfully.

That headline is deliberately and purposely and obviously
a misleading lie. Twisting the context to make a false point. Frankly it was the best laugh of the day.

This ONE post says it all. MY ship, 1955 in Yokusaka Harbor, Japan.
One WWII vet, in the shower we all looked away. Upper torso 90% burned to point couldn’t look. All surface burns.
American aircraft carrier, hit by Kamikaze and afire beyond control. This KID, age then 19, FOUR time went down into a burning inferno to rescue 3 sailors and 1 that dies of burns a hour later. Decorated.
Which of the combat ladies could carry ONE burn victim up 2 flaming decks, let alone go back and go back again?
Let alone carry a wounded buddy through ground fire?

Not only was it a “must watch”, but many newspapers actually printed a “ballot” so you could “vote” for your individiual favorites. The next morning, at work, people compared their personal results with co-workers. Killed half of the morning.
It’’s 2016, quality is discarded in favor of DIVERSITY and most people don’t give a damn. This PC crap is rapidly destroying what it claims to advance.
In other words, “WHO THE HELL CARES?”

Sadly, I’ve posted my entry several times. Yours is the absolute best and most accurate reply to me ever.
What YOU write about the NEW AMERICA, I regret to say, is not the fantasy of some weird Right Wing kook.
As a matter of face, your version of the Four Freedoms is the NEW NORM on the wide spread University and College campuses around the country RIGHT NOW.
That is not an earthquake...it is the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the authors of the Constitution trembling in their graves.
