....The value of persevering through all sorts of pain and tribulation”.....

It does seem there is a difference, though, between perservering when it is something outside of your control and that of self-inflicted pain and tribulation. he latter is far more difficult because you’re not only fighting the pain and discomfort you’re also fighting with yourself .

The article reads....”Leaders tend to be confident and aggressive, so they must learn to submit to authority.

(Jesus illustrated that by telling Peter to go fishing and look for a coin in the mouth of the first fish he caught (Matt. 17:24-27). He was to use that coin to pay their taxes.....)

.... Peter was a citizen of God’s Kingdom, but he needed an object lesson in submitting to governmental authorities”.....

However when a Gov. Leaders or people fail to rightly Judge aggression and arrogance of leadership, and as often the case it’s people, then the only recourse is a breakdown of society over all...which eventually leads to a breakdown of it’s Government in full.

Rome fell. All nations fall into chaos and disarray when a society is out of order.

  • Doubting Thomas

    caww to metmom

Thomas was the ‘only’ disciple of the twelve that did not see the resurrected Jesus yet. ...He was asking what everyone else had experienced.

.... They believed by seeing, Thomas only asked for the same, to see him..... We would probably do the same in his place.

It was eight days later Jesus appears inside the room, and singles Thomas out. As he turns to Thomas to address his desire to see him. Jesus ‘invites’ Thomas to touch his scars from the crucifixion ‘just as Thomas requested’..

To believe the others report without seeing would have been an act of faith... Thomas was insisting on an experience like everyone else....

The reason Jesus waited for Thomas, he had something more mature in mind for him ....“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”.... Taking the event by faith by the other eyewitnesses report is what we do today.

While Thomas has become known for his doubt we overlook Thomas as the last of the 12 apostles to see Jesus resurrected and an great example to us today..... He is the only apostle who confessed Jesus for who he truly is, by stating.. “My Lord and my God!” It is even more personal in the Greek ...”the Lord of me and my God!”

Thomas was completely convinced by his seeing and with no hesitation addressed Jesus as his Risen Lord and God and this is a wonderful example for all believers through history.

There’s scripture that references those who ‘turn away from God’ ...it seems to me that in many of the cases of homosexuality today, that the youth have no foundation thus when you throw in an educational system fully supporting all manner of sexual behavior then it’s a firestorm easy to get out of hand just by experimentation in the teenage years. However as adults I think you’re definitely talking about people who have ‘refused’ to “retain the knowledge of God”.....therefore he does give them up....removes his hand of blessings and leaves them to their own devices.

I think it was a mistake for Ryan to say he wasn’t voting for Trump yet, no matter how he colored around it, so the fact that he did this via CNN tells me there’s ore going on behind the scenes, especially with Trumps response thereafter. Reality isn’t what’s happening from the news bites....we are only seeing the plays they are using the media for.

Why isn’t he fully focused on finishing getting the delegates he needs but instead now taking on the Gop itself and complaining when he knows without them he cannot win this? Why is he still just doing rallies? Why hasn’t he positioned himself to unite the country instead of still lashing out?

This is why I’m waiting til he is officially declared the nominee....I’m not convinced he’s going to carry this through....so convince me otherwise this isn’t going to happen.

Well your “guessing” wrong when it comes to those who supported Cruz. It’s not maybe it’s they are waiting for the convention and the official declaration of the nominee.... You can call it what you want but I am not a Romney supporter, and would vote for Trump over Romney any day if that should be the case...and not exactly happily either for ‘neither’ are my ideal....

This Primary has been the craziest most outlandish primary I’ve ever seen in my life....And most of it has further divided this country to what Obama already had massively divided. There is nothing traditional about this race ..nothing whatsoever....and further there’s another battle raging outside the actual election which is affecting the entire process....and therefore I have ‘no expectations regarding what the voters determine’ they will do....the lines are anything but clear especially for the states who have yet voted.....Added to that the propaganda is running thick by pundits as well as the social media.... along with the parties and pacs.

My candidate is no longer running therefore I’m waiting for the confirmation Trump ‘has to obtain’ to be the nominee. And why is that?...Because I’m not convinced he’s not going to bow out once he can fully lay the blame at someone else’s feet so he can walk away unscathed.

It’s like now that he doesn’t have any candidates to fight he’s going for the party itself.....well that’s fine for those in the fight mode....but he’s soon to be the Presidential Candidate....he’s going to need money and people to take on Hillary....like it or not he cannot do this without them.

The fact he took on Manafort, and we know his reputation, was another alert for me. That this had gone beyond a political run.....he only comes into a situation when someone is loosing or looks to loose and the stakes have moved outside of simply a Pres. election. This is far more than high stakes poker.....it’s moved deeper into the dark side of the International Underworld.

And isn’t it interesting that it’s just today the FBI is saying they’re coming to the end of their investigation of Hillary.....funny they do so just as Cruz drops out and Trump is declared the yet to be declared nominee....

The problem is I’m not convinced who the real enemy really is in this mess.....( apart from Hillary)... Are we going to end up with a bunch of Oligarch thugs, because it doesn’t appear that that matters to the voters if so..... Knock out the GOP and replace it with what???? ....Nobody has yet to define that in any way shape or form except Trump, and that’s a single individual not a Party.

Trump has been whining rigged and all such statements ever since he lost Wisconsin.....and Cruz was ahead with delegates....He’s still doing so with his statements and ads only now the GOP itself saying THEY are going to prevent him from being the nominee at convention.....

This has worked for the Primary ...Trumps had a big megaphone, as is said, to channel the disgruntled and angry public....but at some point real soon he’s got to get the party and people together....because without it people are going to bail.

    True....

But as the head of the party Ryan has the responsibility to voters of making it clear that it’s up to Trump to bring the party together now, especially since they and Trump are meeting this next week.....Trump could have said he agreed with Ryan that they need to come together, especially since they are meeting, it would have calmed some of these divisions......instead Trump is stuck in the fight mode and I expect that’s going to continue.....rather than take the opportunity to agree with Ryan he still struck back against the party he’s suppose to represent.....

Therefore there’s no mistake in my mind that Trumps intentions were indeed to take over the party and transform it into his own image, or destroy it completely........rather than run as it’s representative as he’s led people to believe.

There’s an ad playing yet again stating that The GOP is preventing him from being elected at the convention.....also I got a phone call today saying the same...... so this is how Trump intends to run our nation????

It’s a lot more than that I tell ya.....some real nasty stuff going on by all involved. In political wars such as this, anything goes at this point.....

The Gop wouldn’t be even thinking of a 3rd party candidate unless they had identified this was a hostile takeover by Trumps campaign all along.....and I’m not so sure they’re seeking a 3rd party......maybe convention will reveal what’s going on and why it’s important this year.

The Committee that sets the rules for Convention can change those rules before the Convention......they kept out Pauly by changing rules so there’s no telling what plays will be made.

He's a 65 year old pervert unwilling to address his 'sexual deviate behavior'......easier to say he's Transgender and get away with it as doing so gives him the media and social acceptance he wants.....rather than risk rejection for his perversion.

Most Transgenders are not transgenders.....they ARE sexual deviates with major issues. Which is why when they have their 'junk' removed, for those who go that far, never find the peace of mind they seek. It is also why any do not have surgery....they aren't ready to chop off their jewels because inwardly they know their sexual identity is correct as it is....they're just hiding behind the mask of being Transgender.

Jenner has additional problems in that he wants to be young again and have the glory and media rush he once knew and was accustomed to....time running out he sought it the only way he had left he could tap to once more gain notoriety.

.....”Trump is going to have to persuade a LOT of people, and especially people who have been grievously insulted by him or his supporters.”.....

Well I think it's more than just the insults.....they will heal in time.

I just would like to see the man show some kind of consistency other than his rhetoric and standard rally bites. His platform is equally unstable as he changes like the weather...it's certainly not by and large the Republican platform despite people picking out what they want to hear and believe... rather this election has all been about who not to vote for. Sad really...and it looks like the general is going to be the same thing for many.

I've hated this election cycle from the get go and do not see this is going to change in the general, in fact will surely get worse.....unless these threads open up to reasonable dialog I may just sit out FR until the election is over....there must be freedom to voice ones opinion and that's been crushed here. ...too many still attacking even though Trump won....they just can't put it away.

...”Your vote is your own responsibility”...

That’s exactly right.... other than that in your post there’s nothing more to address. I don’t engage with people still bitter or angry toward other Freepers. So we’ll end this here.
