  • Donald Trump Could Win California Popular Vote, Lose State's Electors

    Chad N. Freud to notscj

“The problem arises from the fact that Trump is nominated by both the Republican Party and the state branch of the American Independent Party, and the two parties did not agree on a joint slate of electors, Just two names overlap on lists submitted earlier this week, bringing the total number of Trump electors to 108.”

Assuming both the writer and the editors mistakenly put a comma instead of a period in front of the word “Just,” I defy anyone to explain the logic or the meaning of the sentence that would have begun with the word “Just.” After reading it twenty times, I still ask -— “What does this sentence mean???”

I clicked on the link, and it didn’t enlighten me.

“California ballots will list the two nominations together near Trump’s name, . . . “

“Near”? Has the writer never heard of the word “row”? Ballots usually list candidates on separate rows, in my experience.

“. . . with ‘Republican, American Independent’ or some abbreviation – and ballots don’t list individual electors. But if on the evening of Nov. 8 it becomes clear he has won the state, the two nominations will net Trump nearly twice the number of electors allowed.”

    Totally unclear writing.

    (A) If the two nominations are displayed on one row, then Trump should earn the number of electors associated with the total number of votes for that row. The voters will have chosen that row.

Or, (B) if the two nominations are on two separate rows (Republican, American Independent) then Trump should earn the number of electors associated with the total number of votes on those two rows. The voters will have chosen those two rows. Trump’s name will have been featured on those two separate rows.

So it is entirely unclear why the writer concludes that “the two nominations will net Trump nearly twice the number of electors allowed.”

He will in both cases have netted the number of electors associated with the votes that the voters will have check-marked.

“But Derek Muller, a law professor at Pepperdine University, says he could foresee Democrat Hillary Clinton or her supporters asking a court to overturn a Trump win.”

Practically a guarantee. This article telegraphs that this is exactly what Hillary will do.

“It’s a really egregious abdication of his [he is referring to Secretary of State Alex Padilla, Democrat] responsibility,” Muller says. “If you have some ambiguity or uncertainty in the law, then your job as an official is to figure it out, not wait and hope the problem isn’t going to arise.”

His three jobs (as a loyal Democrat) are to rule in the Democrat’s favor if the issue arises, to not divulge beforehand that this is what is going to happen; and to hope that the issue does arise.

“Winger writes on his newsletter’s website that “[d]ue to the ballot format, California voters who wish to vote for Donald Trump will be forced to cast an overvote. ... Therefore, the votes for Trump will be overvotes and all will be invalid.”

I’ve read this article over and over and can’t find a reason for this.

(But rest assured that Hillary and her secretary of state in California will.)

“the votes for Trump . . . all will be invalid” in California.

“Section 2 of the 14th Amendment might require the ablution of California’s congressional delegation”

    Uh, “ablution”?

“Clinton Foundation Files 4 Years of Amended Tax Returns To Fix errors”

    Washington Times ^ | 11/16/15 | Jennifer Pompi
Posted on 11/17/2015, 6:42:17 AM by markomalley

The Clinton Foundation has voluntarily filed four years of amended tax returns after an error was brought to the organization’s attention.

“In addition to filing our 2014 Form 990, after a thorough review, the Foundation has decided to voluntarily amend its returns for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. This review was the result of an error in the first three of those years being brought to our attention,” Clinton Foundation President and CEO Donna Shalala wrote in a letter to supporters.

Ms. Shalala said that although Clinton Foundation tax reviewers found “several additional errors” upon performing an “exhaustive review,” the mistakes did not require the foundation to file an amended return, that the the errors did not change the organization’s “bottom line numbers: assets, liabilities, and net assets.” She added that the foundation does not owe any taxes as a result of the errors.

Intriguing speculation. To me, anyway, not being an atmospheric physicist.

You’re saying oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, et al. — whatever was present in the Martian atmosphere — could no longer be held by the planet and leave Mars. The Sun’s gravitational force would naturally attract them towards the Sun, and, en route, the Earth would scoop them up yearly in its orbit.

I wonder if scientists have discussed this. They must have, right? I mean, the ones not fretting about global warming. I’ve heard about them hypothesizing about water being brought to Earth on asteroids, but not this. Maybe you’re line to have a theory with your name attached to it!

I took one for the team, and watched this entire video. In fast-forward, with the sound off, for most of it.

    (1) Touching Her Face or Nose:
    Only once.
    About 19:26 in.
She was Colmes-ing her mustache for a second.

Don’t know what she was signaling.

(Less than ten minutes later she started her choking and coughing, and popped a cough drop.)

But - only touching her face once in half and hour?
You’d think that, after all the focus on her multiple “Sting”-like touching of her nose during the Lester Holt debate,
she’d at least pretend to touch her nose afterwards at least once in a speech to diffuse it.

    (2) A lot of weird socialist crap going on in this speech that is flying under the radar.

She wants to double the collage scholarships (What right does the federal government have to do this) for AmeriCorps members. They are Dem voters, by the way.

“And I want to find ways for more students to get college credit for service.”

Like, a diploma for not actually having studied anything, learned anything, researched, written, and defended anything?

“More students will get college credit for their service:
If you do national service,” — as in, doing community service for a crime committed? — “We will begin a program to forgive your loans” — the remainder paid to the school by Joe and Jane Taxpayer, of course, because the school’s professors and administrators surely won’t take a pay cut for the forgiven loan — “because you are giving back to your country” — through Democrat-approved “social justice” activities and programs, like community organizing and get-out-the-immigrant-vote efforts.

    (3) Forget the bobble-head meme: she was perfectly under control in this video. Whatever they’ve got her on, it works, so the bobble-head meme won’t work anymore.

    Until the next grandma seizure.

The daily Svenska Dagbladet reported that 30,000 people whose asylum application had been rejected and were scheduled for deportation, had gone missing. The police say they lack the resources to track down these illegals. Three Somali men in their 20s, who took turns raping a 14-year-old girl, received very lenient sentences -- and all three avoided deportation.

On June 7, it was reported that British citizen Grace "Khadija" Dare had brought her 4-year-old son, Isa Dare, to live in Sweden, in order to benefit from free health care. In February, the boy was featured in an ISIS video, blowing up four prisoners in a car. The boy's father, a jihadist with Swedish citizenship, was killed fighting for ISIS.

“I’m hoping not, folks, but there is that outside possibility that the witch does just fine during the debate. Lord knows the media and her handlers are trying to cover all the bases!

I am remaining cautiously optimistic that she goes bat-shit crazy though!”

For what it’s worth, I share your attitude exactly.

I hesitate to sound like suspecting she will do adequately means HOPING she does, but it feels like too much to wish for that she goes bat-shit crazy onstage.

There should be a thread where people can post their predictions, earning told-you-so rights after the event.

Stephanopoulos: Still An Open Ethical Wound

    04/06/2016 11:24:14 AM PDT · by Kaslin ^ | April 6, 2016 | Brent Bozell

Less than a year ago, ABC's George Stephanopoulos admitted that he had made $75,000 of undisclosed contributions to the charitable foundation/campaign operation of his former employers, Bill and Hillary Clinton. He then personally pledged he wouldn't moderate a Republican primary debate this year. But ABC News later issued a statement of support for Stephanopoulos, insisting it wouldn't take punitive action against him.

Turns out George Stephanopoulos did more than just donate to the Clinton Foundation while working as an ‘impartial’ media person for ABC. He also joined Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein at Lolita Island in 2010. Lolita Island is also known as ‘Pedo Island’. This one documented trip by George Stephanopoulos and Bill Clinton was in December of 2010. George Stephanopoulos was at ABC at the time. This was just two years before that ridiculous GOP debate where George Stephanopoulos badgered Mitt Romney about banning contraception.

Flashback 1996: Why ABC shouldn't hire Stephanopoulos

    05/15/2015 6:19:26 AM PDT · by SoFloFreeper

    Washington Examiner ^ | 5/14/15 | Byron York

George Stephanopoulos was one of the most partisan of partisan warriors ever — just look at "The War Room," the documentary from the 1992 Clinton presidential campaign. So it was something of a surprise in 1996 when ABC News hired Stephanopoulos, fresh out of the Clinton White House. And there was some confusion about what the deeply partisan Stephanopoulos' role would be: Analyst? Pundit? Straight news reporter? At the time, I asked ABC about it and was assured Stephanopoulos would be a pundit — like William Kristol, who was then with ABC News — and would not do any news reporting. Here is the opening of a piece I wrote in December 1996 for the Wall Street Journal editorial page:

"Last week ABC News announced it has hired departing presidential aide George Stephanopoulos as a contributor to 'This Week,' 'Good Morning America' and other programs. The network seemed delighted with its catch. Mr. Stephanopoulos is 'one of the best known and most articulate presidential advisers this country has ever seen,' news President Roone Arledge said. 'His vast knowledge of Washington politics and policy will be an enormous asset to ABC News.'

"The announcement created some confusion about Mr. Stephanopoulos's role. A press release issued by ABC last Wednesday stated that he 'will serve both as a political analyst and as a correspondent.' Vice President of News Joanna Bistany now says Mr. Stephanopoulos will be just an analyst; he will not report news or question guests on 'This Week.' Ms. Bistany says his role will be similar to that of ABC contributor William Kristol, who was Dan Quayle's chief of staff. 'We want a mix of voices,' she says, adding that Mr. Stephanopoulos 'won't do anything that has any appearance of conflict.' "

As it turned out, that didn't last long. Just three years later, in 1999, as the 2000 presidential campaign got under way, Stephanopoulos had shed his pundit's role and was reporting on the campaign.

The most telling aspect of her collapse, is the fact that she was not immediately taken to a hospital, but instead to the Chelsea $10M “safehouse”.

She had more security around her at the bollard than Chris Stevens and Sean Smith had.

Her safe house really was one, unlike what Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods had.

Everything I’ve seen posted from KTLA seems to be Global Warming alarmist and pro-Hillary, pro-illegal immigrants, and anti-Trump.

It’s gotten to the point I almost stop reading as soon as I see “KTLA.”

For every answer Trump gave in response to a question from the audience,

Matt Lauer had a Trump quote printed on the top page of the two or three papers in front of him — he didn’t even have to turn the pages or fumble around for them — which he then proceeded to read out loud and cross-examine Trump on. Surprisingly, some were even quotes from years ago.

That’s an ineffective, useless, transparent, and very silly attempt at making the questions look spontaneous.
