Did anybody happen to catch the two hours of Fox News Live that Tony Snow hosted (11- 1 o'clock central standard time). I missed the first hour completely and the first half of the second. The reason that I ask is that they were doing a year in review. He had a panel segment with three journalists- Karen Tumulty, David Corn and Terry Jeffries. I saw alot of the subjects that they covered- military tribunals, John Walker's treason, civility in congress, September 11th, and human cloning. The subject that i'm very interested in knowing about (what was said) is the ...
  • Rush Limbaugh: What Is His Schedule For the Next Couple of Weeks During the Holidays?

Does anybody happen to know, either through hunch or actually hearing Rush say so, what his schedule is going to be for the next couple of weeks during the holidays and New Year? I know that he usually takes a few weeks off on vacation, but I haven't had the chance to listen to the show. Has he announced any days off? If so, what days and who's supposed to be guest hosting? Thanks, Shannon

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com -- A company has just announced that it has managed to clone human embryos for the purposes of extracting stem cells. Supporters of the research say the development could hasten the production of medical miracles -- new nerves for people paralyzed by spinal injuries; the reversal of such debilitating and heartbreaking diseases as Parkinson's, Alzheimers and ALS. Stem cells have the ability to turn themselves into any body part -- and the theory is that embryonic stem cells are far more versatile than adult stem cells. But this is all theory -- and there's some evidence that adult cells ...

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com - A CONSORTIUM of newspapers has released the latest recount of last year's presidential election or, at least, the votes in Florida. The tally originally was supposed to appear in September, but the National Opinion Research Center, which conducted the study, agreed to withhold the results at the behest of the report's sponsors -- The Washington Post, The New York Times and some other media outfits. Frankly, I don't give a darn and neither do most Americans. Not only is the election over; the investigation itself is suspect. The participants are looking only at a selection of uncounted ballots ...

  • BELLWEATHER: RESULTS OF NEXT TUESDAY'S SPECIAL ELECTION IN ARKANSAS MAY SET STAGE FOR 2002 ELECTIONS

Like it or not, a special election being held in Arkansas' third district on Tuesday of next week, may be the defining issue which sets the stage for next year's mid-term elections. I say that, of course, as a reluctant observer, who will be forced to watch the vote tallies come in from my family's living room in northern Alabama. Normally, a seemingly insignificant election out in the boonies wouldn't interest most and wouldn't have any psychological implications for either political party. But, you can be sure that the media won't play it that way. Two weeks ago, in ...

http://www.NewsAndOpinion.com-- USAMA BIN LADEN, declaiming via fax from the security of some hidden, stone-encrusted redoubt in Afghanistan, has redefined his war... again. He now claims he has taken righteous aim at the United States and Christians. This means that to date he has declared jihad against Jews and the Americans, Christians and the Americans, modernity and the Americans and the Americans. It also means that, whether we like it or not, our chief enemy is a rogue, assertive offshoot of Islam that remains powerful because respectable Muslim leaders haven't called it by its real name: Evil. Bin Ladenism is the ...
  • IS TONY SNOW STILL A CONSERVATIVE? REPUBLICAN?

I became aquainted with Tony Snow sometime during the impeachment era. I listen to the Rush Limbaugh Show on a fairly regular basis, and he was filling in for Rush as a guest host (Rush was on vacation). It was enjoyable because he was less acerbic and confrontational than Rush, but equally as conservative- I am a female in my early twenties! Gradually, I began to learn more about him. I discovered that he was a speech-writer for George Bush the first, he was a host for Fox News, that he used to be the editorial page editor for two ...
