Wrong, the convention hadn't been on any night in my household until my husband came home and said turn on the TV Clint Eastwood's speaking, so the TV came on, and my 25 yo son and daughter-in-law sat and watched the entire rest of the evening with us. My son had been being drawn away from his conservative upbringing by coworkers, and it brought joy to my heart to listen to him cheer America during Romney's speech. We had missed Clint's performance, so we all pulled it up on the computer after Romney spoke. This is a John Wayne, Chuck Norris, Clint Eastwood watching household.

Scottsdale 10:30 AM. Parking lot full, line back into seating section that just kept growing. Everyone talking to one and another. Old couples, young people with children, retired corporate lawyer, EMT’s, mechanics, cross section of America. One man and his wife, he looked like Alice Cooper, wife took a picture of him in the restaurant, and as they left he kept repeating loudly God Bless America. Kind of felt sorry for the order takers, so early and they already looked kind of frazzled. Definitely a positive experience and makes you believe again.

I just saw a picture of my newest grandchild today, it will be 9 weeks on Sunday, 1” long, could make out the head and limbs, the father was just staring at the monitor, the mother was crying with joy. It breaks my heart to think of anyone condoning the “killing” of this precious human being for whatever reason they may give. Romney wants to win a presidential election, that’s all he’s ever wanted. I want someone that cares about our country and all our people, living and yet to be born.

No fear, no vote, unless there is someone worthy, and at the current time there is none. This country was founded on people that were willing to give their lives for what they believed, and yet so many are willing to sell their souls to vote for a person/party they don’t believe in to possibly shut down another person/party they don’t believe in. It truly is a time for courage. No fear, no vote! Conservatives speak up!

For those that support the husband's postion in some form -- have you ever hiked in the desert in the summer? A couple of hours without water in 115 degree heat will give you an indication of what if feels like to begin the road to dehydration. Then, please keep going without fluids and the extreme temperature, experience what it feels like to deprive the body of fluids.

I don't care about legal positions, government positions, husband's positions, we're Americans and I thought we were to care for each other. You would not put an animal to death this way, you would not put a murderer to death this way, you would not put a terrorist to death this way. So let's get to the bottom line and all agree -- YOU CANNOT PUT TERRI TO DEATH THIS WAY!!!

I think of the smiles my grandson brings to people's faces. I have such an incredible deep love for the mothers that did not abort them. If only mothers considering abortion could speak to some of us on the other side that raised adopted children and see what a difference it's made in the world, how many lives could we save. There is no greater unselfish love than that of a mother who gives birth and gives her child up. Prayers from my heart for a new little life.

I never lost my belief though that God grants your innermost dreams, just as along as you do not lose faith. Now, 2 crazy boys 22 and 16 both adopted as newborns, and out of that 8 months ago the 22 yo just gave me my first grandchild. I love dearly the 2 mothers that gave life to my two sons, and both boys have been told this since they were very small. Adoption is such a wonderful thing for those of us that can't have children.

My 16 yo son sent this to me in an Email, my son was adopted by us his parents when he was 4 days old. The best part of the Email was all the people that had previously forwarded this around -- you could tell by their addresses that they were all adolescents. There is hope, we adults just have to keep fighting and we must fight hard.

Dear Mommy, I am in Heaven now, sitting on Jesus' lap. He loves me and cries with me; for my heart has been broken. I so wanted to be your little girl. I don't quite understand what has happened. I was so excited when I began realizing my existance. I was in a dark, yet comfortable place. I saw I had fingers and toes. I was pretty far along in my developing, yet not near ready to leave my surroundings. I spent most of my time thinking or sleeping. Even from my earliest days, I felt a special bonding between you and me. Sometimes I heard you crying and I cried with you. Sometimes you would yell or scream, then cry. I heard Daddy yelling back. I was sad, and hoped you would be better soon. I wondered why you cried so much. One day you cried almost all of the day. I hurt for you. I couldn't imagine why you were so unhappy. That same day, the most horrible thing happened. A very mean monster came into that warm, comfortable place I was in. I was so scared, I began screaming, but you never once tried to help me. Maybe you never heard me. The monster got closer and closer as I was screaming and screaming, "Mommy, Mommy, help me please; Mommy, help me." Complete terror is all I felt. I screamed and screamed until I thought I couldn't anymore. Then the monster started ripping my arms off. It hurt so bad; the pain I can never explain. It didn't stop. Oh, how I begged it to stop. I screamed in horror as it ripped my leg off. Though I was in such complete pain, I was dying. I knew I would never see your face or hear you say how much you love me. I wanted to make all your tears go away. I had so many plans to make you happy. Now I couldn't; all my dreams were shattered. Though I was in utter pain and horror, I felt the pain of my heart breaking, above all. I wanted more than anything to be your daughter. No use now, for I was dying a painful death. I could only imagine the terrible things that they had done to you. I wanted to tell you that I love you before I was gone, but I didn't know the words you could understand. And soon, I no longer had the breath to say them; I was dead.I felt myself rising. I was being carried by a huge angel into a big beautiful place. I was still crying, but the physical pain was gone. The angel took me to Jesus and set me on His lap. He said He loved me, and He was my Father. Then I was happy. I asked Him what the thing was that killed me. He answered, "Abortion. I am sorry, my child; for I know how it feels." I don't know what abortion is; I guess that's the name of the monster. I'm writing to say that I love you and to tell you how much I wanted to be your little girl. I tried very hard to live. I wanted to live. I had the will, but I couldn't; the monster was too powerful. It sucked my arms and legs off and finally got all of me. It was impossible to live. I just wanted you to know I tried to stay with you. I didn't want to die. Also, Mommy, please watch out for that abortion monster. Mommy, I love you and I would hate for you to go through the kind of pain I did. Please be careful.

I got to see her rubbing her eyes, the side of her head, opening her eyes and at the end it was like she had had enough of the whole procedure and she curled way up into a little ball. It's wonderful that this can be written in our country at this time, however, that may not last long. I contribute to ADF (Alliance Defense Fund) Christian attorneys out fighting the court battles for all Christians. They sent a newsletter yesterday explaining how things could change rapidly w/the advent of the legal homosexual marriages. Currently, in Canada there is Bill C-250 which is about to pass that seeks to make it a criminal offense to publicly express "hatred" (read: moral disapproval) against people who engage in homosexual behavior.

From their newsletter: An article in the Wall Street Journal by Mary Ann Glendon from Harvard Law School gave a warning: "Religious freedom, too, is at stake. As much as one may wish to live and let live, the experience in other countries reveals that once these (same-sex 'marriage') arrangements become law, there will be no live-and-let-live policy for those who differ. Gay-marriage proponents use the language of openness, tolerance and diversity, yet one foreseeable effect of their success will be to usher in an era of intolerance and discrimination the likes of which we have rarely seen before. Every person and every religion that disagrees will be labeled as bigoted and open discriminated against. The ax will fall most heavily on religious persons and groups that don't go along. Religious institutions will be hit with lawsuites if they refuse to compromise their principles."

Allan Carlson, Distinguished Fellow of Family Studies at the Family Research Council, warns: "If same-sex 'marriage' was deemed a fundamental human right, would churches still be allowed to ban such things and claim a tax exemption? I don't know."

Raymond Flynn, one-time mayor of Boston and a former U.S. ambassador to the Vatican, adds: "The issue of legalizing same-sex marriages in MA and CA raises the question: Does this mean there will be cases brought against the Catholic Church for discrimination? I think it is the next step. I don't think people will stop until the whole sacred institution of marriage crumbles."

I believe we need prayers of numbers this day like no other. Tomorrow is bringing changes in this country like none other in our history.

We're losing men in that country trying to undo that horrible, terrible mistake. Now, we think that doing the same thing again will work in a city controlled by terrorists? Can anyone even imagine how badly we would have been destroyed in World War II if this type of mentality was employed. From a book entitled "Sleeping with the Devil - How Washington Sold our Sould for Saudi Crude," by Robert Baer -- a very good book. "Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the story. In 1998, when I was living in France, I got a call from a young Wall Street Journal reporter named Danny Pearl. We met in Geneva. With a wiry frame and intense eyes, he was one of the most thorough, dogged, and honest reporters I'd ever come across. You knew right away he would never give up on a story. I told him about KSM and Qatar. He listened, took notes, and promised to follow up on it one day. We saw each other from time to time in Washington. He would bring up the Khalid Sheikh Muhammad story, but neither of us had anything new to add. Two days after September 11, I received this e-mail from Pearl: 'Hi, how are things? Did your book come out? I hope you weren't near the Pentagon Tuesday. Like half the paper, I'm being roped into reporting on bin Laden's network...some of the suspects supposedly had UAE passports, and I remember you talking once about how Fujairah was a hot spot for fundies.' Pearl called me the next day, I reminded him about our talks on KSM and Qatar, "Worth thinking about," he replied. I have no way of knowing whether Pearl went to Karachi and asked about Khalid Sheikh Muhammad. The Wall Street Journal says no, that he was working on the shoe-bomer case. But I can't help but be struck by the fact that one of the witnesses in the Pearl murder trial fingered Khalid Sheikh Muhammad as his murderer."

We've been kept in the dark for way too long about the evil that was let to grow across the globe.
