  • Connecticut labeled “untruthful” for hiding $10 billion in retiree healthcare costs

“Creative accounting” is one of the most common ways that liberal ideas are able to survive for longer than they should. The huge pension costs of liberalism are hidden from the public. Liberalism/socialism looks nice and “compassionate” in the short-term, but it always bites people in the long-term because it is unsustainable. At some point, they inevitably “run out of other people’s money.”

Even the Liberal author, Andrew Sullivan, who loved Obama and absurdly still thinks that Obama was great for race relations, now sees that the current racial politics of the radical Left is destined to divide the USA into warring factions, where there can be no truce or compromise.

Btw, I checked the "Copyright" posting list and I didn't see anything about "New York Magazine," so I excerpted to 300 words, just to be safe.

Yes, the comments at the original article are as delusional as the ones that are usually at NYT articles. We truly live in different universes. My liberal sisters are never exposed to intelligent conservative viewpoints. They simply don’t want to hear any. Conservatives can’t help but hear liberal viewpoints since we are bombarded with them throughout the week by liberal media and schools. The author is clueless and so are his readers. But he plays the “victim card” and so he can feel morally superior and not have to change.

Here is info on this guy from his bio webpage. Roosevelt University is a small, unimportant college in downtown Chicago. It is close to where Saul Alinsky did his work. This guy is a typical Leftist, who thinks that he is morally and intellectually superior to the rest of us and so he, and people like him, should rule over us. And like Alinsky, "the ends justify the means", and so they will stop at nothing to get their way. This is what we are fighting.

I’m currently program director of Political Science at Roosevelt University in downtown Chicago. I earned my PhD in Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. My book with Melville House Publishing on political reform in the United States, called "It’s Time To Fight Dirty: How Democrats Can Build a Lasting Majority in American Politics" will be published on April 10th, 2018.

Dems are always so “compassionate” with other people’s money. They can think that they are morally superior to us, but who is going to eventually pay the bills?! The USA is so far in debt that it will probably never repay it. Who is then going to get burned? That debt will eventually lead to stealing from somebody (default on debts or inflating currency). The Dem Leftists never think about the ultimate costs. They only care about feeling and looking good in the short-term.

This is just like college campuses (like UC-Berkeley) turning down conservative speakers because they are afraid of all of the security needed to prevent damage and harm from liberal rioters, such as antifa. The Mayors are succumbing to the “hecklers’ veto,” which becomes a form of censorship. All they need is to announce and show the police force and their no-nonsense “rules of engagement,” and the riots will stop after the first real demonstration of serious police force.

I tutor Korean high school and college students in the Los Angeles suburbs and also teach Sunday School for Korean high school, college and young adults. The kids say that ALL of the local Korean news media always side with the Dems. The parents only hear all this propaganda and so do the kids. Think of the local Asian media as being like what Univision or Telemundo are for the hispanics. And of course, the kids are indoctrinated at school with Dem views by their teachers. It’s sad, but that is all that they hear. That’s the real situation, at least in Los Angeles.

Good article. I have read something like this before, and I am also quite familiar with John Ionnnaitis and his work on the failure of replicating much scientific work. Journals are not interested in publishing “null tests.” They are not nearly as “sexy” as studies that purport to have discovered some amazing new insight. People forget that scientists are “fallen” people, just like the rest of us. As such, they are susceptible to the same temptations of pursuing fame and fortune as the rest of us.

St. Olaf’s College was/is a Lutheran college. So this college that was started by Christians now invites speakers who say that the biggest threat to society is Christians. This is a VERY expensive 4-year liberal arts college. Parents spend over $50,000/year to have their kids indoctrinated with liberal garbage. Sad, just very sad.

"Statistics are used to make inferences based an a sample."

Correct. Even when the statistical results are not "fudged," the conclusions, which are based on a scientist' personal assumptions and interpretation of the data, may often be just a result of correlation, rather than causation.

This is another study that highlights the increased politicization of science. It is very interesting that the authors say that, “As a rule of thumb, fields that use statistics intensively are more likely to have troubles than fields that don’t.” Ordinarily, people would likely think that studies that involve statistics would be more trustworthy, since they have actual measurable results to prove their conclusions. But if this survey is right, then it shows that the stats quite possibly have been manipulated or "fudged" in order to get the desired results. This especially could be true when there are built-in incentives, such as the billions of dollars of federal research grants for climate change research, and the fame & status that goes with each "new discovery." The federal government has created a "moral hazard" for scientists and educators. Scientists are fallen people, just like everyone else. They are susceptible to the temptations of fame and fortune

Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom"

Leftists, in general, disdain God because their egotistic self doesn't want to believe that there is a higher source of wisdom than themselves, and they don't want to be accountable to God. As a result, their fundamental view of reality is totally wrong. The foundation of their worldview is built on a lie because they don't want to acknowledge God. It truly is a moral issue.

This is what we are up against: smug, condescending Progressives. This Black journalist obviously thinks that he is morally and intellectually superior to white Christians. Yet because he lives in a leftist groupthink bubble, he can't even articulate why his opponents, us, think the way we think. Since we are daily bombarded with leftist propaganda, it's easy for us to know where leftists are coming from. However, Leftists, who claim to be so smart, can't figure us out because they never hear a cogent conservative argument, because they are so insulated. He is right on one matter: there is no room to compromise when the disagreements are so profound. They must be defeated.

"It is an open secret that members of McCain’s campaign sought to sabotage Palin during the campaign, apparently preferring to lose rather than tolerate her views and her persona."

This is exactly what a lot of us sensed during the campaign. People like Steve Schmidt set her up to do the interview with Katie Couric and were constantly criticizing Palin during the campaign. McCain didn't really care that much about winning the election. He just wanted to have the nomination to boost his own ego and reputation. He only cares about himself, not about the Republican Party or the country, and certainly not about conservatives. He will NOT be missed.

I advised my students to do the same thing. I told them that this is a game and they have to play by the Liberals’ rules in order to win. People may criticize me for giving these instructions, and I can understand their point-of-view, but I was also getting my students to be realistic and to hate the liberals’ bias and viewpoint discrimination. I wanted to make my students aware of the lies, bias and discrimination that Liberals inject into everything they control.

The article tells how the MCAT is now being politicized by Leftists. Questions now include discussions on the wage gap between men and women, abortion, institutional racism, immigration, and gender discrimination. They no longer care primarily about medical knowledge. They want to actively discriminate against conservatives, to keep them out of medical schools. This seems like the practices that were used against Christians in the old USSR.
