President Biden would easily beat former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 election matchup — but would lose if he faced off against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, according to a recent poll. In a rematch of the 2020 presidential contest, the 80-year-old Biden would prevail over his 76-year-old predecessor by eight percentage points in the popular vote — 49% to 41% — but would fall to the Sunshine State’s Republican governor by 45% to 42% in a head-to-head contest, the WPA Intelligence survey released Jan. 13 found.

NATO is playing a dangerous game that poses a risk of escalating into a nuclear war with Russia. Sorry to ruin your day. NATO is kicking off its annual nuclear weapons exercise today–i.e. STEADFAST NOON. Although this exercise has not been ginned up in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, it comes at a delicate time and will have Russia raising its nuclear alert level. While it is true that NATO conducts this exercise every year at this time, it is foolish to pretend that the war in Ukraine is irrelevant. Why? Because NATO is exercising deploying nuclear weapons, arming...

Senior military officials told senators on Tuesday that they would have kept U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Their testimony contradicted President Biden's claims senior advisers did not recommend keeping troops. Gen Frank McKenzie said he recommended keeping 2500 troops to prevent a Taliban takeover. Gen Mark Milley said his analysis was that a hasty withdrawal could trigger the collapse of Kabul. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said: 'Their input was received by the president ... for sure.' Yet in an August 18 interview Biden had said none of his advisers warned against bringing home all U.S. troops.

He said he was “abused by two people involved in the Catholic Church, and this is Father Michael Barrett and Cardinal McCarrick, who wasn’t a cardinal then, and he should have never become one.”

A former Catholic bishop admitted that the Archdiocese of Albany covertly moved around priests accused of sexual misconduct before reintroducing them back into the ministry. Howard J. Hubbard, who headed the diocese from 1977 to 2014, said it was common practice in the 1970s and 1980s to temporarily remove accused priests, send them for supposed rehabilitation — then put them back on the job.
