Keith Scott was carrying a stolen gun when he was shot and killed during a confrontation with police in Charlotte, North Carolina, authorities have said. The gun was reported stolen after a breaking and entering, according to the police. BOSTON — A rare tea chest that was flung overboard during the Boston Tea Party in 1773 is returning to its original site, before being prominently displayed in a new museum. The Robinson Half Tea Chest, which was recovered from sand off Boston Harbor the morning after colonists tossed 340 tea chests into the water in an act of rebellion, will be paraded through the city Wednesday afternoon. The chest, one of two remaining, will make its way from the Old South Meeting House to the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, which is slated to open June 26.

MIAMI, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Children of illegal immigrants living in Florida are suing the state for charging them out-of-state tuition. Wendy Ruiz, a sophomore at Miami Dade College, is one of those behind the lawsuit. She is paying $5,000 more than she technically has to, because her college insisted upon charging her out-of-state tuition when her parents were unable to produce legal immigration documents.
