there can be some value in an MBA but basically we don’t need nearly as many of them as we’ve got.
there is very little value in a JD anymore, and so many lawyers wind up doing essentially destructive work that the balance is quite negative, imho. We should try to steer as many young folks who have the talent into productive work like some branches of engineering, some types of science, medicine, nursing, health technology trades, construction trades, building, you name it. The last thing we need is more lawyers, inho, and we could probably cut the number of MBA schools down by 75% and wind up ahead for the effort.
imho. oh yes, don’t talk any young folks into engineering or science or computer stuff until DJT is able to stop the ripoffs by USA corporations ... either exporting the jobs or else importing the workers (mostly from Communist China, also from India etc). The net result is that top tier graduates of our best engineering colleges often can’t get work in their areas of training. Silly Con Valley work force is majority foreigners, has been for some years already. It is a terrible thing for our colleges to be steering young folks into STEM when your corporations won’t hire many, most of them. they wind up pushing papers somewhere or flipping burgers or driving Uber. A terrible waste of a very difficult and expensive (often, anyway) education. It gets pissed right down the drain in many cases as the “American” corporations import more and more Communist Chinese and other foreigners to give the jobs to.
