Nothing is made of the fact that a Male Navyman (in this case) felt he needed to give his life in order to protect a Female NavyMAN. In my opinion many incidents such as this will occur in combat situations and will seriously degrade the capability and effectiveness of our fighting forces.

Thanks, I did a google search to find what else she has written and found her blog.
This particular column reflects my view to the fact that the importance of where he was born is not as great as where he (Barack, or any other candidate) was raised. Many examples of “give me a man until he is ?? and I will give you the man”, The Catholic Church, Stalin etc.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/79744904@N03/7411609196/Double-barrel 1911 lands ATF approval, importation to begin in 2013

The ATF has given Arsenal the green light to import their double-barreled, double-everything 1911. Arsenal turned a lot of heads a few months back when they announced their truly unique handgun, the AF2011-A1, but many assumed that the gun would never wind up for sale in the U.S., because it fires two cartridges with one pull of the trigger, making it a machine gun according to federal law.

Arsenal maintained that their double trigger design, and matching pair of sears and hammers, would not raise the hackles of the gatekeepers of the guns, and they were right on the money. From their press release:

“The US Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) has officially granted import permission and sale in the United States of America of the AF2011-A1 Second Century double barrel pistol, with a total score of 120 Points, according to Form 4590.

“Arsenal Firearms Group proudly announces the official distribution to America of the whole line of double barrel firearms and dedicated accessories starting on January the 1st 2013, through the appointed US Importer of Record, Apex International LLC of Middletown, CT and according to a ‘Direct Dealer Distribution.’

“The Company wishes to take this opportunity to thank warmly the millions of followers, enthusiasts and supporters in the United States of America and worldwide: they are part of the dream and indeed our main reason to be.”

We can’t help but be excited about this crazy handgun. Yes, it’s ridiculous, we completely agree with that. It’s two inches thick and weighs four pounds unloaded. Even with a full set of magazines it’s got a capacity of 8+8+1+1 rounds, and it’s probably going to cost a cubic foot of money.

It’s just… we’re so surprised that this gun is going to even be available. How can we not want to get behind one?

Arsenal says that they will have a full line of firearms and accessories and they will launch all of it at the 2013 SHOT Show. This may mean just the AF2011-A1, but we hope it means their Second Century double 1911 chambered in .38 Super and also their highly-anticipated Strizh pistols.

Their Strizh, or Strike One as they plan to market it in the U.S., is a truly 21st century handgun, a striker-fired pistol built on either a polymer or alloy frame designed for law enforcement and competition use. The Russian ministry of defense has already announced that they intend to retire the Makarov and replace it with the Strizh.

Arsenal is a joint Russian and Italian firm that’s still just a couple of years old, but they have our attention to say the least. Their designs are innovative and promising, and the wait between now and SHOT Show is going to kill us.

Other things that bothered her were my opinion of JFK, Nixon, Vietnam, and the A’bombing of Japan.

The levees in Southeast Missouri were blown to save Cairo Ill and ultimately New Orleans. I doubt that the city of Cairo was worth as much as the cost of the crops and homes in Southeast Missouri but the cost to the Corp of Engineers would have been much greater in that the claim that "the Corp is racist" would be heard for the next 10 years.

Tried getting into a banking site on my new lap top computer 3 days ago. The site would not honor my password and ID because it did not recognize my computer. I was asked if I were willing to answer a few questions and proceeded to throw 7 multiple choice questions at me that I had never disclosed to that site such as: Mothers birth city, current auto tag numbers, square footage of my house, names of children, and several others I don’t remember. I was not able to get into the site, it told me my only option was to go to a computer that that site was familiar with. So I have no doubts about the authenticity of this article.

I can’t imagine China wanting to see this since it would probably bankrupt us (their money) plus we are there biggest trading partner. But Russia could kill 2 rivals by coaxing NK into a war, and NK could stave off any unrest within country by rallying their people against the US. We are approaching the anniversary of the Korean War. In the early 90s we were at about this same point but we bought them off with aid. We don’t have that kind of money or influence now.

We had this problem in the 70s,I am RH pos, my wife is RH neg. Our first child was born with the same RH factor as my wife,so no problem. Our second child was RH pos. Our third child was again RH pos. My wife was closely watched by her doctor during this pregnancy.

When the baby was born he was immediately sent to Walter Reed via helicopter and over the course of the next month received 3 complete blood transfusions as well as 24 hours a day under special lighting.

The shot has to be given immediately after the birth of a child with differing Rh factors from the mother, it keeps her from developing antigens. although the shot was available after our 2nd child, the doctor did not give it to my wife.

After the 3rd child we had my wives tubes tied, we were told another child with a pos Rh would probably kill my wife and the baby. That child today is a Lieutenant in the Navy currently in Naval Post Grad School in Monterrey Calif.

The draft should be restored. The military could take these young people and instill discipline and job skills in them. I'm sure the military itself does not want to undertake this costly task. But if we took the money from some of the jobs traininng programs that are failing and give it to the miliitary it could probably accomplish this task cheaper and more succesfully.

According to the polls Missouri is solidly for Bush, but in driving the eastern and southeastern areas of Jackson county (K.C. Suburbs) and counting the bumper stickers and yard signs you wouldn't know it, there are probably 10 Kerry/Edwards signs for each Bush/Chaney sign. Not sure about the reason for this; (not enough Republican workers to get the signs out? Jackson County Republican committee didn't put their money in signs?)
Another surprise in this is that the more affluent the neighborhood the more Kerry/Edwards signs you see.

It's hard to believe anybody with clearances at the level necessary to be privy to this type information would disclose it. That to me would make me question how authentic this story is.

But this is the second major leak along this line out of the DOE in the last several months In my opinion just another reason to require polygraphs for DOE and their contractor personnel.

I don't normally associate Israel as an ally in "The War on Terror" in fact if she were actually a part of it The rest of the countries would probably not be.

I didn't mean to put you on the defensive, I was just wondering why one of your politicians would specify Israel as a third party to U.S. Canadian relationship and why he would specify Israel when England would probably be a closer associate of the US in "The War on Terror.

Would you explain the reference to Israel in the context of the rest of this article.

"" Its reflexive pro-Americanism is reflected in recent statements by the two front-runners in the Alliance leadership race. Stockwell Day declared in a February 4 speech, "In the weeks and months to come, Canada must decide where we will stand in this next phase in the war on terrorism. Will we stand with the United States and Israel as allies against the axis of evil, or will we try to be neutral bystanders, groping for some kind of middle ground between good and evil which does not exist?""

Along with supplies can you imagine the intel data base that has had to be accumulated in this very short period of time. Each bomb mission has had to have been photograped several different times, a photo interpreter has had to look at, pictures blow them up and specifically identify what we evidently are defining as "valid" (military) targets, maybe with the help of a collaborator, or possibly from historical data, or maybe even with Russian help, he then had to read several sequences of these targets into a computer, distribute the data base to the fighter/bomber organizations. The pilots then had to study the photos and look at bombing runs to ensure that they could id the target from 30k feet. And then while actually flying the mission if it didn't look exactly like the info on his computer back at base he was probably forced to pull off and go home with his payload. Of course the further we get into the war the more data that will all ready be available in the intel data base and the less time it will take to quickly id and bomb specific targets. But in my mind the speed with which we started the bombing was a total surprise due to the amount of intel necessary to fight a war under these conditions
