Since they gave "The Passion" an NC-17 it is no wonder this one is PG. In fact it should be PG-13! Can't have young skulls full of mush getting corrupted by Jesus.

The GG is the official representative of the monarch and was appointed by him/her. When acting in official capacity the GG carried the full authority of the crown. (Which explains the role ac CinC). These days the position is locally appointed and not even confirmed by English Parliament. (Part of "bringing the constitution home")

A popular Des Moines Barber shop had a new robotic barber installed.

A fellow came in for a haircut. As the robot began to cut his hair it asked him,"What's your IQ?" The man replied, "130." So the robot proceeded to make conversation about physics, astronomy, investments, insurance, and so on.

The man listened intently and said, "This is really cool."

Later, another man came in for a haircut and the robot asked him as it began the haircut, "What's your IQ?" The man responded, "100." So the robot started talking about bowling, football, baseball, and so on. The man thought to himself, "Wow, this is really cool."

Later on, a third man came in to the barber shop. As with the others, the robot barber asked him, "What's your IQ?" The man replied, "50."
The robot then said, "So, I understand you Democrats are really excited about Hillary running for president?"

More advertisers need to hear from us. I sent this out a few days before the hatchet job:

    Dear WMAL Advertiser;

I am writing to you as a listener of WMAL and a potential customer of yours. As you probably know WMAL has given in to pressure from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and “suspended” it’s morning host Michael Graham for having the audacity to tell the truth about Islam. What was supposed to be an absence of one week has now stretched into three with no end in sight.

You are probably asking, “Why does this concern me?” The answer is I, the listener. In response to WMAL/ABC suspending Michael, I have “suspended” my listening to the station. That means that I am no longer hearing your advertisements and I know I am not alone. I am also disinclined to purchase products and services from advertisers that continue to buy airtime on WMAL.

For now I have transferred my listenership to another station lower on the AM dial and am enjoying hosts like Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck and Michael Savage in place of Michael, Sean and Chris. For news and traffic, I have found another station at the high end of the AM dial that also simulcasts on FM. May I suggest that you consider transferring some of your advertising budget to these other stations.

Thank you for taking time to read this letter and to reconsider your radio advertising strategy.

    A “suspended” WMAL listener

There are national sponsors in the CAIR list like Comcast or Vermont Teddy Bear that should be concerned that their local buy is not reaching the target and having national notice as well. Given the fact that the DC area is very transitory, there are many folk who listen on the net even after they leave Washington. The fact that we take time to put ink on paper does make an impact.

As has been mentioned in other threads the place to lodge complaints is with the advertisers as well as the station. (CAIR compiled a long list of them and it can be found here.) There are many that do not have email addresses so dust off that old selectric and send snail mail. Don't forget to CC the WMAL advertising department as well and ask that they put a copy of the letter in their public inspection file for review next time the station's license comes up for renewal.

I sent Michael some links last week and asked him if we should start calling the station / advertisers again since he had asked everyone to hold off. The text of his reply follows:

"At least until the weekend. Thanks for asking and for the links."

So keep those cards and letters coming folks! See this link for a list of WMAL advertisers.

To bad this can't be read in the schools in St. Mary's county Maryland. The mention of God has been taken out of Thanksgiving by the local school board!!!

After "the war" the south was forced to start accepting blacks as equals (note I said start) whereas the north did not have to change at all. Blacks migrated north is search of the jobs that the union industry provided. Fast forward to today with the loss of labor-intensive heavy industry in the NE, is it possible that the black populations in the "blue" states are kept in their place on the govt welfare plantation?

Read the article and follow-up. Colors come from TV maps and alternate based on incumbent party.

In his article of 11/13 Kevin Drum took a stab at explaining how red states got their color via a Nexis search over the past 20 years. The results (and resulting comments) are interesting. He posted a followup article the next day explaining how Republican "blue" states turned "red". Stay tuned for 2008 to see if the answer is correct.
