As far as punishing women who have an abortion; this arose from a media that wanted that to be his position. Mr Trump’s position is that IF abortion were to be made illegal, the person who performed an abortion would be punished. We must all recall that we have a great source in the media (Woodward of Nixon Fame) who states unequivocally that this is OBAMA'S sequester. It has little to do with the Republicans who have offered laws to mitigate the impact on the public at large and Dirty Harry and OBAMA (The One) refuse to accept the path which would make it easier on the Public at large.

Thank you for this post. My recollection of this battle is that General McCrystal?? stopped the unit from leaving because it would make Karzai look “weak”. Had the unit been permitted to complete the move from Keating, we may not have lost the 8 or 9 soldiers that lost their life. Am I mistaken about this, as the General has been making the rounds with his book sale and I have heard no reporting on what should be an important, but negative, action on his part.
If I am incorrect, let me apologize now.

To all of you who are willing to forget that the goal is a conservative (Republican?) Senate:

Akin Mis-spoke. He has attempted to apologize but it falls on deaf ears and hard (troll-like) hearts. Remember Regan’s first law - Speak no evil of another Republican.

Of course there are many of you who ARE Obummer supporters and you have liberally salted this Blog, with the implied consent of the moderator, to be sure, with statements meant to suppress votes. You know that you can’t get me to vote bor the O, but you hope that the talk of “the better of two evils”, that I might not vote. There is NO ONE who comes withing light years of O’s evil design for this country. No matter how foolish, the least bit of conservative Blood in a person qualifies that person to be voted into office to TAKE THE SENATE AND THE PRESIDENCY.
Like it or not, Akin is the Republican candidate. If you fail to elect him to office it is YOUR failure. You will have helped to elect McCaskill, a reliable vote for all things OBAMA. This would be a gross failure for which you can offer NO defense. Hold your nose, send your money and support the Republican Candidate in MO.

As you put it; Romney is almost obama; but in the word almost lies the difference - there is an extremely wide chasm in that six letter word. I remember the same type of posts in 2007-2008. Obama and the follow on with a one party government is where your logic leads. There is no vote that counts this year except one for Romney and any GOP that is running. We must recapture the senate AND the Presidency to win - one will not do. Romney is not Evil - the definition of EVIL is anyone who aides in the reelection of the O.

(And the lawyers out there) Why hasn’t someone brought the charge of accessory to Murder to those that were party to F and F? If you or I had obtained a gun and ILLEGALLY transferred it to a fellow, who then murdered someone, I am sure that we would be “rotting” in jail now.

As for the length of time that Holder is taking to investigate and “solve” the murder, note that Zimmerman is wasting away in jail since shortly after Trevor Martin was killed. Who do we have in jail.

Other question why can’t a state such as Texas or Arizona take the Brian Terry case to a Grand Jury?

This poor Perry is the Republican Obama. Except that we in blogs and the media seem to have more fervor in ridiculing him instead of the SMARTEST MAN in the World, OBAMA, that is to say. This week he didn’t even know that he was in KANSAS, referring to Texas, early on he bragged about visiting all 57 states, and the list as visitors to this blog are well aware goes on and on (Corpse man, e.g.). But in each and every case he was given a pass, not even mentioned in some blogs and the MSM.

As we all know, the operative number is 5 (five, any five) and they are still unelected with even less resources and knowledge that the (mostly ignorant) 535 elected members have.

Now I assume that we shall have to put up with MSM (including Fox) will tear up Newt for an accurate but ill advised statement (ill advised only because he was not asked to clarify something for those not as well read in historical facts as he. • Letter from John Boehner

    francesco525 to jessduntno

Let me see John: First year’s cuts are $21 Billion and the Treasury has announce Over a one-half Trillion dollar Bond offering between now and January, so you have contributed to $500 Billion of debt to bring us to $15 Trillion. Way go; at that rate we’ll go $1.5 Trillion in Debt next year and be mighty near $17 Trillion Total. With more wins like this we sure don’t losses.

How about this little note: (Sent to Speaker yesterday)

“I am writing to the Speaker through you for there is not sufficient time to wait out the telephone que. After waiting for 35 minutes, the Speaker’s Representative unceremoniously hung up on me as my opposition to the Debt Limit Bill cobbled together by the President and Harry Reid. I assume that Mr. Boehner had little if any input for it is such a massive loss for the Conservatives, the Republicans, and him personally.

First it has him breaking his promise to the American People that NO bill would be voted on until it had been published for three (3) days so that we had an opportunity for input to our representatives. I have been told by the only vocally rude person that I encountered in this morning’s calls that it was published sometime this morning and that it is 74 pages. Google doesn’t seem to have any record of it under the Debt Limit title. At any rate its publication this morning would mean that the earliest the House should vote on it would be August 4th. There is NO emergency so great for the Speaker to break his word to the American People.

Second, people like me though out this land in the Tea Party movement worked diligently and gave up our treasure to give the Republicans a majority in the House. We then had the good fortune to have the debt limit problem left to us by a foolish President. This bill gives away the only tool we have that is equivalent to the filibuster and the veto. It frees the President from having to face the issue of the debt which he and the past congress have saddled this country with until AFTER the election, and

Third, the creation of a Super Congress or Super Committee removes from us the influence of our majority in the House as the conservatives in the House only get to place 3 members on the Committee as does the progressive caucus. The Senate cannot be counted on to put 3 conservatives on so that at the best we will have a 50-50 split and if a Snow, or a Collins, or a Brown is place on the Committee we will be guaranteed that the liberal wing of the Congress will make the rules. Even Nancy is cheering!

Fourth, we are not cutting spending; indeed the vote for the 2012 will guarantee a ONE TRILLION dollar ADDITION to the DEBT. The DEBT is our problem, not the date nor the amount of borrowing that the President is empowered to make. A decrease in our Credit Rating would be a blessing, for the increased cost would at least put a brake on the rate of borrowing and hence the spending, which is the problem. Only BORROWERS need fear their credit score; those that pay their bills have no care for what the credit score or rating is; they use their money and not someone elses life’s work.

All in all a terrible Bill all around for the People, the Conservatives and the 49% of the country that pays the bills.

    With Prayer for this Nation,”

Oprah and the public at large must read the constitution again, even those poor substitutes for republicans in the Congress. He is not our leader (leader of the Nation) nor the leader of the government, he is the chief executive of the Executive Branch of Government and can be removed from that position through impeachment by the House and conviction by the Senate, in accordance with the Constitution. Indeed, he is the CIC of the Armed Forces in support of the Constitution of the United States. An argument can be made that by not ordering Sibelious to cease and desist in the implementation of the NOW DECLARED UNCONSTITUTIONAL OBAMACARE, OR ASKING FOR AND RECEIVING A STAY FROM THE HIGHER COURTS, Obama is in defiance of a lawful finding of the JUDICIARY, and subject to impeachment. At least Sibelius should be impeached by this House.

Indeed they have been sent there with this as the most important piece of business to be dealt with. Speaker Boehner might well give up his post if he can’t at least handle a large majority as well as Pelosi did. I wrote specifically to Boehner, Foxx and the Rules Committee and then sent Boehner’s note (included here) to each of the COS of most Representives. If any one would like to have CSV files of these addresses, let me know in some private way.
Let’s flood the offices. Spread this out on the net.

    (Dear Speaker Boehner:

I was shocked to hear today that YOU are considering moving a Continuing Resolution under current house rules. I know that you are aware that this in essence gives Nancy Pelosi, under whom the current Continuing Resolution was forced upon us, control of the budget for the first year of the term in which Republicans hold a sizeable majority. I pray that I will hear rapidly from your office that this is a scurrilous untruth.

The news reports that YOU refuse to allow the amendment rules to be changed so that Obamacare, which now has been found to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL in its entirety, can be defunded. The reason given was that Ms. Pelosi had done that and YOU wish to play on a higher spiritual plane. Changing the rule, even for a short time, is legitimate! Your false display of “better than thou” only suggests that YOU are not up to the task of Speaker, IF this is the case.

Of course this then begs the question of how do you intend to introduce amendments to reduce the spending in this current year by $100 Billion, without changing the rule? You and the republicans that we worked so hard to elect are doing an OBAMA - you have reneged on your campaign promises.

I urge you, even at the risk of Government Shutdown, that you show the courage to do what you promised and were elected to do. Pass the amendment to the rule AND pass the Continuing Resolution for a TW0 month period with the amendment to the resolution to defund OBAMACARE.

If this be true, I am much disappointed in YOU personally and the Republicans that supported this point of view. If the news is faulty, leading to a misunderstanding, then I apologize and offer continuing support.

Show me by DEEDS and not only WORDS.)

Again it seems that "O" spoke in the hopeful "future". He talked about 300 jobs created at Celgard and 1000 ancillary jobs by suppliers by the Stimulus grant of $41 Million to Celgard. Problem: Grant was approved and given on Feb 1 by DOE, and none has been spent yet. Indeed the projection is that 289 jobs will be created over the next 5 years. The $41 Million is part of $91 million that the State is giving to Celgard to build a new facility in Concord, NC. The relevant paragraphs are about 2/3 of the way down in the article. Rush seems to be the only National Outlet that caught this. Fox just repeated ad nauseum the White House version as iterated by the big "O".

    francesco525 to Political Junkie Too

I have taken the opportunity to rewrite the message that the Liberty Dems want us to send. We need to support Liberty University for taking a courageous stand unlike that of the back-sliders at Notre Dame.

I sent it with the heading “Approval for the actions of Liberty University”

    It now reads

“I was elated to learn of your decision to ban the Liberty University College Democrats from organizing on campus. Your display of principle stands in stark contrast to the pusillanimous decision made thy Notre Dame.

College campuses, no matter their religious affiliation, are prized in this country for their unique potential to foster the vigorous exchange of ideas that is the fount of our democracy and the strength of our nation. However this does not mean that the University is to permit a forum or platform to others that espouse actions and ideas that would lead to the demise of the institution. This one logical fact makes it imperative that you take the action that you did and I continue to applaud you for it and spread the courage that you display. Some matters verily shout that fairness requires and uneven application of the rules. After all it would be “fair “to give both views on the matter of rape; that of the would be rapist and that of the proposed victim. Can there be a middle ground in their views without harm to the victim?

Moreover, your decision as it stands today places into context the utterings of the students of the disbanded Liberty Democrats chapter — a faulty logic that has led them to speak out in opposition to a war meant to free the oppressed, to love those who think as they do while shouting defamitorily at those who dare hold differing or opposing views, and to enslave those “who can not think for themselves” under the guise of protecting the earth, thinking themselves the sole guardians of the land that God has lovingly provided to all human beings.

I respectfully urge you to stand by your decision in the face of the fury that will be raised by the body politic and its minions in the press.

One of the reasons that we have the present government is precisely the attitude that some on this board have espoused. “There isn't anyone that is conservative enough, so its best to be “ruled” by the most liberal candidate ever elected in this country.” The Senate, because of the power of the filibuster, must be the Conservative’s first goal. And that means getting the most conservative candidate that is electable, not some mystical creature that is to the right of me. We must think strategically and as you so well put it, incrementally.

Indeed from the tenure of his letter to Ms. Hillary, I would suspect the latter. But having survived to be “elderly”, I am generally suspicious when something doesn’t pass the “smell test.’

I would like to say that I too have cast my votes, not not in the primary. This is my attempt to be among those who want to demonstrate to the “disaffected” radio hosts, (Rush, Hannity, Ann Coulter, and others) who see a vote for Hillary (guaranteeing a liberal Supreme Court” for the rest of this voting publics’ lifetime) somehow better than one for Mr. McCain (assuming he is the Republican Nominee. My vote is pretty simple. I just don’t tune in to any of them anymore - limited now to some History Channel, Golf Channel and Discovery Channel, and holding my nose, CNBC.
Remember that as hard as Mr.Reagan fought during the primaries (no personal attacks though) he remained loyal and supported the nominee. As a Conservative Registered Democrat I will do no less. Dr. Dobson is demonstrating that it is his ego that is important and NOT the issues of saving the lives of the unborn or the biblical definition of marriage. In elections such a this we must take partial victories. In good conscience we must vote for the individuals that would cause the least harm. If that be Giuliani, then so be it; Hillary is the worst of all possible worlds. Dobson and others like him must put their so-called principles aside and recognize the realities of the real politic. This is my first posting so if I make an error in posting I ask forgiveness. This is a copy of what I wrote to Ms Dole. Perhaps more like it might have some effect? I sent a copy to Sen. Burr as well.

    Dear Senator Dole:

I am somewhat relieved to have read of your perfidy in supporting a measure that waste the time of the Executive in a time of war to come before the Congress with plans for redeployment every 90 days. I am sure that our enemy is quite relieved also to have a friend like you in the Congress.
My relief stems from the fact that I was in the process of contributing to your re-election when I ran across this misguided action of yours. (It should be easy for you to know that you have “gone off of the deep end” if you are on the same side as Hillary, Voinovich and the like.) Needless to say you should not expect financial support from me if you continue with this wrong headed approach. There is still time to make amends. I assure you that there are many like me, nationally and in North Carolina that will see this as traitorous to the War Effort. What earthly good is it to ask the CIC to spell out his war plans except to grant advantage to the enemy? I can not believe that this is your intention.
Looking forward to YOUR remedial action,

I remain, committed to victory in the GWOT and Iraq,

Mr Hannity has become the Democrat's dream; a so-called conservative who avoids the "kool aid" so vehemently that he pompously overstates his criticism of the President for everything that happens, Dubai, immigration, port security, etc. Don't confuse him with facts. Who needs Al Franken with Hannity and O'Reilly on the job?
