Newly released videos obtained by CBS News suggest that the 16-year-old girl who was run over by a fire truck and killed after surviving a crash on ill-fated Asiana Airlines Flight 214 might have been visible to rescue workers, contradicting earlier reports that she was covered with fire-extinguishing foam. Ye Meng Yuan died at San Francisco International Airport in July. One video, shot from a camera attached to an emergency worker's helmet, captures footage of a firefighter shouting warnings about Ye to a driver of a rescue vehicle. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Stop, stop, stop! There's a body. ... There's a...

My nephew has a Toshiba Satellite A205 with Windows 7, 3GB RAM and 200GB harddrive. We were downloading "Marvel Heroes" and had gotten down to the last few packages when it went black. Nothing was working. The light indicated it was "on" but there was zero activity for a very long time. Rebooting.. nope it did not reboot. The "on" light turned on but there was no booting whatsoever. I had just cleaned the harddrive out of all malware days ago, it was purring like a kitten before this. Now it doesn't even attempt to boot. I need help resetting...

We have this Toshiba Satellite A205-55879 with dual-core processor and with 3gb RAM and Windows 7. The problem is that when I turn it on all kinds of programs start up and then the thing is basically frozen. I cannot figure out how to get rid of all these processes running in the background. Everything from Steam, Norton 360, 24X7 Help, PC Speed thingy I don't understand, Google Drive and some other stuff. Something like 80 processes are running in the background, the CPU is more than half used just sitting idle. Move the mouse and it pauses to think....

North Korean propaganda has it that, since its completion in October, people have been keen to visit Munsu Water Park on the banks of the Taedong River. However, in truth many are reluctant to pass through the facility, knowing that “orders” to visit the place come at the expense of time that could be better spent working for private gain. A Pyongyang source told Daily NK on the 3rd, “Since November we've been getting these coupons to visit Munsu Water Park via our People’s Units, along with orders for each person to visit at least once. A Daily NK source has revealed that municipal and provincial Chosun Workers' Party secretaries and cadres from judicial and security organs have been summoned en masse to Pyongyang. Regional heavyweight officials are being kept in the dark about the details of Jang Sung Taek’s elimination in distant Pyongyang, but rumor inside North Korea already is that the staff recall is designed to weed out elements loyal to “the aunt’s husband” and instill fear throughout society. The source from North Hamkyung Province told Daily NK on the 6th, “Recently, workers with city and province departments of administration, along with branch heads...

President Nicolás Maduro is not only the heir to the throne, but also to an economic crisis which demanded urgent measures to rectify the course. The crisis showed up in two aspects: a 50% inflation estimate, and shortage of staples ranging between 70% and 98%. These issues might hit the President's poor popularity; considering his feeble electoral victory of 1% over his challenger. The course taken by President Maduro heads towards radicalism and further state controls over the economy, on the pretext of an "economic war." In the meantime, indicators keep showing a crisis that seems unstoppable. Actions undertaken against...

Venezuelan state-owned oil company Pdvsa has been shipping less oil to its subsidiary Citgo based in the United States. The gap has been bridged with supplies from US firms Valero Energy and Chevron, according to information from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). In addition to its shipments, mostly of oil, Pdvsa would send finished products to Citgo's refining network. However, no shipments have been recorded this year, as appears from data through August disclosed by the EIA. The drop is partly attributed to a series of problems Pdvsa has been facing at its local refinery network since 2012. The...

Seoul (AFP) - North Korea publicly executed around 80 people earlier this month, many for watching smuggled South Korean TV shows, a South Korean newspaper reported Monday. The conservative JoongAng Ilbo cited a single, unidentified source, but at least one North Korean defector group said it had heard rumours that lent credibility to the front-page report. The source, said to be "familiar" with the North's internal affairs and recently returned from the country, said the executions were carried out in seven cities on November 3. In the eastern port of Wonsan, the authorities gathered 10,000 people in a sports stadium...

(Reuters) - President Cristina Fernandez's government sought on Monday to downplay a sobering defeat in Argentina's mid-term elections, asserting that its ability to govern has not been diminished even though voters shrank her majority in Congress and erased her chances of seeking a third term in 2015. The government's coalition took a beating in Sunday's elections, leaving her with only a slim majority in both legislative chambers. Some legislators had said they wanted a constitutional amendment to allow Fernandez to run for a third term. But the poor showing by her branch of the Peronist party dashed those hopes once...

This year is no different; the authorities have mobilized the entire population to work on farms, meaning that adults and children alike face days of hard agricultural labor. The hours for official markets are also shortened at these times, and in some cases they are not allowed to open at all. This double-whammy only adds to the difficulty. .... Since rice planting requires a great many hands, soldiers, university, senior middle and elementary school students are all mobilized. On July 1, 2012, a law went into effect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts titled "An Act Relative to Gender Identity." The law added the term "gender identity" to the state's antidiscrimination statute, joining far better known terms like "race," "religion," "sex" and "national origin." The statute now also applies to "gender-related identity, appearance or behavior, whether or not that gender-related identity, appearance, or behavior is different from that traditionally associated with the person's physiology or assigned sex at birth." The common term these days is "transgender." .... It is a given that nearly all teenage girls will feel deeply...

Parents across Massachusetts are upset over new rules that would not only allow transgender students to use their restrooms of their choice – but would also punish students who refuse to affirm or support their transgender classmates. Last week the Massachusetts Department of Education issued directives for handling transgender students – including allowing them to use the bathrooms of their choice or to play on sports teams that correspond to the gender with which they identify. The 11-page directive also urged schools to eliminate gender-based clothing and gender-based activities – like having boys and girls line up separately to leave...

(Associated Posers) – Richport, Maine – Although far outside of any danger zone from hurricane Sandy the incumbent mayor of Richport, Rodney Johnstone, is calling for elections to be post-poned for several weeks. “We will be getting heavy rains, possibly hail, for days. Roads will be flooded, trees will be down. People will not be able to reach polling locations”. The mayor is polling several points behind challenger Henry Morgan who is already confident of a victory. He says the mayor's call for delaying the election is “a ridiculous attempt to buy time”. Sandy, which is barely a hurricane won't...

(Associated Posers) – DETROIT – Some high-level executives are feeling down about some of the after-effects of the so-called “bailout”. They said they miscalculated public reaction in accepting the terms dictated from Washington. “Apparently there is a bias in this country, very widespread, that people believe a business should earn its revenue by selling products or services” said one executive who requested anonymity “We were under the impression that once the people understood they were all part-owners of the company that they would take pride in it”. Instead of rightly appreciating the government taking their money and buying up 25%...

It was Obama himself who denied additional security to the embassy in Benghazi, Libya not Hillary Clinton as many had suspected. New emails and documents have shown that not only did the President and the administration know that this was a terrorist – while it was still happening – bit that absolutely nothing was done about it. The security was denied only because it would be admitting that the world was a more dangerous place. There was an election coming up and if they admitted this, it might hurt his re-election chances. The State Department had even issued a traveled...

(Associated Posers) - Many in the Middle East believe Barack Obama failed to deliver on promises of a new U.S. approach in the region but still prefer him to presidential rival Mitt Romney, who they see as too close to Israel and too keen to project U.S. military might. Compounding the challenge, the Middle East is a region where perceptions of fading U.S. influence have been hardened by Arab uprisings that have toppled dictators who were longtime U.S. allies, bringing Islamists in their place. "I am one of those who is very much disappointed with Obama," said Hassan Nafaa a...

(Associated Posers) – WASHINGTON DC – While some Republicans worry about the long lists of deceased or illegal voters being registered across while many foreign-based military personnel aren't being given the opportunity the vote, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe is sending 150 'observers' to keep an eye on Republicans. “We will report any efforts to suppress the free and fair vote” said Herman Gehring-Hess “In that vein, we have recruited observers from Cuba, North Korea and Myanmar to assure a fair polling” Already some Republican governors have moved to block foreign election observers, saying it is treasonous...

(Associated Posers) – CHICAGO, Illinois – United States Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. admits what many observers have suspected for years. That he is mentally ill. The admission comes as federal corruption investigators tighten the screws trying to find out how much money he took in improper influence-peddling schemes. A former associate said he is confused that JJJ went into politics “He has never been very good with people, I was never sure he ever really liked people”. Another said Jackson would prance around the sauna naked, dancing and singing to himself. “He was flamboyant for a guy who is supposed...

(Associated Posers) – WASHINGTON DC – Many people missed it in the first debate when President Obama said that his policies have made the average American better off enough to buy a new car or a computer. Despite the fact that those average American incomes are down by more than a few thousand dollars and prices for everything from food, electricity and gasoline have increased- some by a lot. The claim was hardly mentioned after the debate through all the hoopla about how challenger Mitt Romney “won” the debate, but the fact is that the claim has not gone away....

(Associated Posers)- LONG ISLAND, New York – Mitt Romney showed up on time at an Obama campaign rally held at Hoefstra University. Obama sycophant Candy Crowley led the so-called “debate” in as pro-Obama manner as possible, filling in for the role of his missing TelePrompTer. At one point Republican candidate Mitt Romney accused the President of taking almost two weeks before he called the attack in Benghazi, Libya a “terrorist attack”. Obama and the moderator said this was not true. “Get the transcript” Obama said, in what was almost surely a scripted move, because Candy Crowley just happened to have...

Stupid People: A Global Phenomenon(Associated Posers) - SEOUL, South Korea - Everyone has seen third world countries collapse their economies like Zimbabwe, Argentina and the way Venezuela seems to be doing. We all have seen how fiscally irresponsible Europe and the United States have become. Rushing head-long into brick walls over and over and expecting different results.. France is ready to jump-start economic collapse by electing a President who immediately launched the 75% income tax. You can hear business owners and wealthy individuals scramble for the exits. The result is going to be less money moving around, less money invested,...
