New York billionaire Donald Trump promises "forward motion" on so called gay rights if elected president. While speaking with Bay Windows publisher Sue O'Connell Friday, Trump spoke about his wishes to unite the country on gay and lesbian issues. According to a report by Bay Windows: O'Connell, who is also Bay Windows' Publisher, identified herself as a lesbian in a question that noted the progress the LGBT community has made in the last two decades and asked Trump if voters can expect him to continue that momentum if elected "When President Trump is in office can we look for more...

In 2012, then-Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave Donald Trump control of a $236 million public golf course at Ferry Point and threw in a slew of giveaways that include a low revenue-sharing plan with the city and free water. No other city golf course enjoys these perks. ... How many ways do you spell sweetheart deal? Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg apparently wasn’t satisfied with simply handing Donald Trump control over one of the most expensive public golf courses ever built in this country – the new $236 million, 18-hole Parks Department course scheduled to open next spring at Ferry Point Park...

Here's a historical fact that Donald Trump, and many voters attracted to him, may not know: The last American president who was a trade protectionist was Republican Herbert Hoover. Obviously that economic strategy didn't turn out so well — either for the nation or the GOP. Does Trump aspire to be a 21st century Hoover with a modernized platform of the 1930 Smoot-Hawley tariff that helped send the U.S. and world economy into a decade-long depression and a collapse of the banking system? We can't help wondering whether the panic in world financial markets is in part a result of...

Anti-Putin activist Alexei Navalny, who is currently under house arrest, has officially informed authorities of his intention to assemble a 100,000-strong, anti-government protest in Moscow on 1st March. A photo of Navalny’s letter, addressed to Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin and requesting permission for the protest, was posted on his blog. The image also revealed that Mikhail Khodorkovsky was one of the letter’s five signatories. Khodorkovsky is a Kremlin dissident who announced last September that he would be prepared to run for president if incumbent Vladimir Putin could not combat corruption and prevent a financial crisis in Russia. The former oligarch...

AUSTIN — Hours after a Texas county clerk issued the state's first same-sex marriage license, Texas' attorney general said the marriage is void. Attorney General Ken Paxton said Thursday that the Texas Supreme Court granted his request to stay two court rulings declaring Texas' ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional. "The Court's action upholds our state constitution and stays these rulings by activist judges in Travis County," Paxton said in a statement. "The same-sex marriage license issued by the Travis County Clerk is void, just as any license issued in violation of state law would be. I will continue to defend...

  • Putin lays wreath to honor Soviet Oppression in 1956 Hungary

    Ukraine Today ^ | 2/18/2015
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stirred controversy after paying tribute to a monument complex to Soviet soldiers killed in Hungary during the suppression of the 1956 anti-Soviet uprising. Hungary's law states that the present day freedom ‘blossomed' out of that uprising also known as the ‘1956 revolution' and anyone ‘justifying the crimes committed by the communist system is to be punished'. This means that Putin's commemoration of the soldiers violates Hungarian law. Despite government officials denying that Putin laid a wreath at the monument specifically commemorating Soviet invaders, an advance of the itinerary of Putin's visit said that he would...

King Minus ruled a prosperous and powerful nation, its economy was the envy of the world. Minus was proud of this, and he was proud to be the leader of such a fine kingdom. Then one night a red lizard appeared to him in a dream and it talked to him. “Oh sure, the kingdom is strong and rich. That is a fine thing indeed, but there are still a lot of poor people and can't you do something for them?” The king responded that red lizards appearing in dreams seemed a bit demonic and why should he listen to...

Monday January 12, 2015 01:40 PM Last Friday, dozens of people spent the night in the surroundings of the Andrés Bello square (north Caracas) to buy food in an outdoor market organized by the Venezuelan Ministry of Food. For taking home staples such as rice, pre-cooked corn flour, milk, oil, sugar, beef or chicken, people had to wait in line for at least twelve hours. Buyers had numbers written on their arms. With fear and anger, but with the need to buy food, they were waiting there since the day before. "No matter if I am very fond of this...

High officials on one of Kim's aircraft and bring bodyguards (only allowed to Dear Leader) made a pretty stunning and unprecedented visit to South Korea last week.

I have to thank Sean Sorrentino of An NC Gun Blog* for pointing out this opinion article from one Kasie Strickland in the Pickens, SC Sentinel. Typically, we do not re-post entire editorials from other media organizations, but I have a real concern that if we don’t post the entire article today that it may very well be deleted out of embarrassment tomorrow. As you read, this, please keep in mind that this person not only votes, but that someone in a higher editorial position thought that this opinion was worth sharing.
  • Kim Jong-un's Family consolidate positions

There are increasing signs that the immediate family of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un are consolidating their positions in the regime, amid hints that his sister Yeo-jong has been promoted to a senior post. ........ n the status-conscious official media, the order of names speaks volumes, and KCNA named Yeo-jong ahead of Ri Jae-il, a senior official in charge of propaganda at the Workers Party. Previously she was named after Ri Jae-il. ......... The fact that Ri Sol-ju was referred to as "comrade" rather than Kim's wife suggests that she also now holds an official position in the Workers Party.

http://nation.foxnews.com/2014/08/06/russia-bans-all-us-food-imports-response-sanctions Russia will ban all imports of food from the United States and all fruit and vegetables from Europe, the state news agency reported on Wednesday, a sweeping response to Western sanctions imposed over its support for rebels in Ukraine. The measures will hit consumers at home who rely on cheap imports, and on farmers in the West for whom Russia is a big market. Moscow is by far the biggest buyer of European fruit and vegetables and the second biggest importer of U.S. poultry.

Newly released videos obtained by CBS News suggest that the 16-year-old girl who was run over by a fire truck and killed after surviving a crash on ill-fated Asiana Airlines Flight 214 might have been visible to rescue workers, contradicting earlier reports that she was covered with fire-extinguishing foam. Ye Meng Yuan died at San Francisco International Airport in July. One video, shot from a camera attached to an emergency worker's helmet, captures footage of a firefighter shouting warnings about Ye to a driver of a rescue vehicle. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Nothing was working. The light indicated it was "on" but there was zero activity for a very long time. Rebooting.. nope it did not reboot. We have this Toshiba Satellite A205-55879 with dual-core processor and with 3gb RAM and Windows 7. The problem is that when I turn it on all kinds of programs start up and then the thing is basically frozen. I cannot figure out how to get rid of all these processes running in the background. Everything from Steam, Norton 360, 24X7 Help, PC Speed thingy I don't understand, Google Drive and some other stuff. Something like 80 processes are running in the background, the CPU is more than half used just sitting idle. Move the mouse and it pauses to think....
