  • Al-Qaeda spokesman calls on Americans to 'buy guns and start shooting people'

    From the article:

He said: ‘America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms.

‘You can go down to a gun show at the local convention centre and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card.’

I detect a disturbing convergence of the rhetoric from both the Oppressive-Left and the Mooslimbs, coincidence?

    Good article.

Anyone that read through the article and has even a passing interest in the affairs will readily see that this group of officers did not follow even the most basic of protocols for this type of police work.

Note the Navy SEAL who took out Osama Bin Laden with two rounds and two rounds only, one to the chest, one to the head. This is a classic example of cool, perfect shot placement under stress, and is precisely the sort of thing SWAT troops are supposed to be able to do. After all, if they are no better at this sort of thing than the average street cop, all that has been done is to give average street cops more destructive, longer ranged weapons.

Take a look at the video, read the analysis, and try to tell me that these officers followed logical police procedures and were not negligent.

From the video, it should readily apparent that these officers forming the fatal funnel should have either continued the dynamic entry or backed off.

In such circumstances, some will claim that when confronted by someone holding a gun, or even when the police suspect someone is armed—as in the Erik Scott case—the police may blithely fire away. This is dangerous nonsense.

Remember that SWAT operators should be better trained and more experienced than their patrol brethren. They are expected to be able to wait those few fractions of a second longer before shooting necessary to be certain that shooting is absolutely required. In a nation with a Second Amendment, and where citizens may carry concealed handguns in most states, police officers simply cannot shoot anyone seen holding a weapon.

Was this done at all? A casual observer of this video would come away with the impression that these were just Keystone cops in tactical gear.

Finally, I ask you look at the Definition of the concept of Goodwill
    {Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary}

a : a kindly feeling of approval and support : benevolent interest or concern b (1) : the favor or advantage that a business has acquired especially through its brands and its good reputation

The government and law enforcement are in such a position as to warrant that they need to rely on the ‘Goodwill’ of the public. How much of that vital asset is used up with incidents such as this?

Don’t be too sure about that, if you look long enough you could find something incriminating in everyone’s house.

Body armor and guns are not illegal in most cases and yet they are making them out to be the case.

Just a couple of quick examples of “Incriminating” Items:

Do you have any gasoline or matches stored at your house? They could said to be the tools of an arsonist.

Did you know that some household items have explosive properties – common items like flour? They could be called “Bomb making materials.”

Moreover, we have not even touched on the possibility of the planting of evidence.

Okay, we can see where this is going:

The two conclusions you get from this headline is that we need to have feral government control over every firearm transaction and a ‘watchlist’ prohibition.

Meaning that the government will now have a due-process-free control over YOUR ability to defend yourself.

    Just pursuing through the web:

Boozman delivers on 2nd Amendment promise to veterans

Coburn Amendment: Veterans’ Second Amendment Rights
Senator Coburn has proposed a first-degree amendment (#3700 - link) to the Health Care Reconciliation Bill, H.R. 4872, to ensure that no veterans be denied their Second Amendment rights without due process. This amendment is identical to S. 669, the Veterans 2d Amendment Protection Act.

    June 26, 2008

Burr’s “Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act” Approved By Senate Panel

Currently, when the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) appoints a fiduciary to assist a veteran with managing their financial affairs, VA also deems the veteran mentally incompetent and reports him or her to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). The Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act would require a judicial body to deem a veteran, surviving spouse, or child as a danger to himself or others before being listed in NICS, which would prohibit the veteran from being able to purchase certain firearms. The legislation is supported by the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

    S. 669:

    Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act

A bill to amend title 38, United States Code, to clarify the conditions under which certain persons may be treated as adjudicated mentally incompetent for certain purposes.

This bill never became law. This bill was proposed in a previous session of Congress. Sessions of Congress last two years, and at the end of each session all proposed bills and resolutions that haven’t passed are cleared from the books. Members often reintroduce bills that did not come up for debate under a new number in the next session.

It would seem like this is an issue but it also appears as though it hasn’t been passed, so it might still be a problem.

Why, are they suddenly so hot and bothered about this issue right now? Has there been a number of shooting incidents I have not heard about?

Why is this suddenly a problem?

Make no mistake, the gun grabbers want CONTROL, and part and parcel of that would be to have our glorious rulers to have a veto over whether you can but a gun.

They can only do that if they CONTROL every private transaction (BTW, how does that fit in with the commerce clause?)

With that in hand, if you wish to defend your-self, you will need their permission to do so, throw in depriving people of the right via secret watch lists and it’s GOODBYE SECOND AMENDMENT.

    Obama would be after them.

Someone on another blog posted this comment and they make an interesting point:

I, for one wonder what the Liberals of today will tell their grandchildren about how they contributed to the decline of a once great nation.

The Libs seem to be determined to bring this nation down a few notches. Whatever the problem their unthinking answer is to raise taxes in any shape, manner or form.

Whether they are too dumb to realize the economic implications of this or whether they know this and are rooting for it does not really matter. The fact remains that their actions of today will drastically change the economic landscape of the nation.

At some point in the future – if Western society survives – there will be a clear time line where the US was a leader among nations and a bastion of freedom.

And with current events as they are there will surely be a point where this is no longer the case. The key event for this change will surely be the election of Barry Soetero and his hatred of the land of his birth.

Complicit in this decline will be those that supported Barry and carried his water for him. They will have to answer to future generations as to their part in this decline – I wonder what that answer will be?

Another oldie but goodie: Registration is the same as Confiscation, the only difference is where the guns are stored.

Banning private sales of firearms is a step well on the way to national registration.

    That has to be repeated.

The fact is that the forcible disarmament cretins see Federale authority over every gun transaction as the one BIG step to confiscation through the intermediate step of registration.

If the gun grabbers can pull this off, they immediately have a way of permanently recording the possession of every occurring gun sale from now on AND the means to turn every other gun owner into an outlaw.

Make no mistake: This baby step is that powerful.

Some don’t want to think about this too hard and don’t want to oppose this commonsense move by the gun grabbing Fascists.

Is EVERY freaking new infringement on our rights termed commonsense?

Which is why they like to employ the divide and conquer strategy – only go after a small segment of the population each time.

Consider that while most people think that confiscation is the ultimate goal of the gun grabbers their holly grail has to be Federal control over all transfers.

Because once they have achieved that, and they can get enough people to “register” to be on the list, they will have an emergency confiscation mechanism in place.

They can short circuit the whole process and go straight to Confiscation – that is why they never stop trying to push this issue.

Bear in mind that that this is yet ANOTHER “commonsense” Disarmament initiative designed to be the foundation for a Registration system.

Once they fooled enough people to once again go along with such a measure they will simply collect sales information in a database and Hello! Gun Registration database.

As soon as they’ve achieved this, all they need is another excuse to require people to register their guns that may not be in the database and confirm the information already in the database.

Meanwhile they will be subjecting people to yet another bureaucratic hoop to jump though for mere gun ownership in their ongoing quest to disarm the law-abiding.

In addition, never forget that if the government is granting you “Permission” to defend yourself, they can easily withdraw that permission and “Recall” your private property and have it melted down.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

The crisis in Libya shows why the right of self-defense from the government is extremely important.

And we have the Crisis in Japan to show us why guns are important in a disaster – societal breakdown situation.

    Here is their operational outline:

Step 1: All Transactions have to go through the Federal system
Step 2: All Transactions are recorded and a registration system initialized.
Step 3: All guns are banned and confiscated.

Each step will have to be preceded by a Crisis to get at least some on board for the next incremental and “Commonsense” step in the process.

Based on what fraudulent poll data?

Consider the source – sounds like Prime Grade A Bull Cookies!!

which allows even pistols to fire more than 30 shots without reloading,

Make no mistake, that’s the number they like to toss out but in reality they want to reduce that to 10 rounds, then 5 then..

Why did he wait so long to provide us with his wonderful prose?

Was it because he and the other gun grabbers were hoping for another attack as a springboard for taking away more of our rights?

This is why the work for the Gun Grabbers is so satisfying to them. If they can assure that the innocent are disarmed and make crime safer for criminals, well that just fills them with a warm feeling all over. (Like pissing in your pants)

They also feel really good when they can make Tyranny safer for Tyrants.
