paul writes of the cleansing, as if by fire, and you will be tested, and, the perishable will be burnt. Jesus also tells us as if youwere in prison, and your sentence needs to be paid, in order for you to leave.

philippians ststes very clearly that “ work out you salvation in fear and trembling”, also.”run the race until the very end”. both clearly state that there is no one time acceptance of Jesus as an assurance of salvation.

one cannot diein an absolute state of grace, one would have some small sins at least ( a just man sins sevens times daily ), and you have to be in perfect grace to see God.

they should cancel the pig and buy SU35s, probably can get them for a good price. the navy went for 2 seaters and got a pig, the F4, and kept the great F8 around for fighter escort, a truly classic design. they bought F18s to replace the Ao6, A7s, and the f18 can do neither role.
the F111, even in the F model never came close to meeting range and perf goals. they loaded up anF111 with4 multi ejector racks of iron bombs, and said it could carry the same load as teh B52, but ALSO do M2.0. macnamara was a real piece of shit.
stealth is a first wave threat. the later waves can be less stealthy and use drop tanks, wing mounted stores. the stealths are always payload limited by their internal capacity, small. the A12 fisaco tried to solve that with a huge delta wing that would have made it nearly impossible to land on the carriers it was supposed to operate out of.

having worked on designing all aspects of aircraft, military and commercial, you incorporate every thing you know on how to make planes safe, whether to be able to withstand a 23 mm cannon shell going thru the structure, to allowable crack growth, and fail safety.
the after takedown testing could not show any way for a minimal fuel / vapor in the tank being ignited from a low voltage source, even “arcing”.
to buttress those facts, the tell tale signs of the explosion blowing skin panels inward over the length of damage, force one to realize that the source of the explosion was external to the airframe.
for a limited amount of IQ as you seem to have, even a center tank explosion could not make a 4 ft hole in the forward fuselage, going up and thru the body.

as i said previously, the most credible witness, was a coast guard heli pilot who was flying near, at a lower altitude, when he saw rocket trails come up, and go over, and behind him, then saw the explosion.
you can dream that obama ia actually a good president all you want, but the facts demsonstrate the opposite.

how can i agree with someone who does not believe in what God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit has revealed?
In the last judgement, in Matthew, Jesus tells us of the lambs and the goats. the lambs who took care of the sick, gave to the poor, ie. lived their Christian life and did the will of God. The ones who said “ Lord, lord”, ie they who “knew Jesus, believed in Him” but did nothing, were sent off the the warm place. Those who persevered in good works, and according to paul, “ran the race to the end”. or, Paul , in Timothy, “equipped for every good work”, were sent to Life Eternal.

there is the story of the blind man who was sitting by the “road” when he heard that Jesus was coming. he shouted out, “Jesus, Son of David”.... and Jesus asked what he wanted. “that i might see, he responded”. Jesus, cured his blindness, and said your faith has saved you. If faith alone would have cured his blindness, then why did the blind man have to cry out, and ask for his cure?

try reading further in John where Jesus says” he who believes in Me, does the will of the Father who sent Me”. or paul writes, “he who confesses Jesus with his lips, will be saved”., or Jesus to the man who asked how he can be saved: “You know the commandments: thou shalt not murder, thous shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt no bear false witness, thous shall not steal, thou shall not covet they neighbours wife? keep those and you will have ( eternal ) life”.
so on a cursory reading of the Bible, you are the one who does not believe in either Jesus nor the Bible.

    Caesarea Philippi In Israel
    by David Padfield
( to out the term “rock”or, “cephas”, in proper context, here they are standing next to isreals tallest m ountain )
“Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples, saying to them, “Who do men say that I am?” And they answered, “John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.” (Mark 8:27-29).

The city of Caesarea Philippi was on the southwestern slope of Mount Hermon and the northernmost extent of Jesus’ ministry. Here, about 25 miles north-east of the Sea of Galilee, Jesus could be alone with His disciples — outside the domain of Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, and within the area of Philip the Tetrarch. The population was not Jewish, so Jesus could teach the twelve in peace. Here, on a road outside of the city, Jesus asked one of the most profound questions that could ever be posed, “Who do men say that I am?” It is interesting to see where Jesus chose to ask this question, for there are few areas in all of the world with more religious associations than Caesarea Philippi.
    Historic Background

Caesarea Philippi is one of the most pleasant sites in Israel — it is on a terrace 1,150 feet high overlooking a fertile valley. It is also an area scattered with the temples of ancient Syrian Baal worship. Historians have listed at least fourteen such temples — it was a place beneath the shadow of ancient gods.

There are several references to this area in the Old Testament. The northernmost conquest of Joshua is described as ranging from “the mountains of Israel and its lowlands, from Mount Halak and the ascent to Seir, even as far as Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon below Mount Hermon” (Joshua 11:17). In a description of the nations that were left to “test” Israel we read of “the Hivites who dwelt in Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal Hermon to the entrance of Hamath” (Judges 3:3). In 1 Chronicles 5:23 we read that “the children of the half-tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land. Their numbers increased from Bashan to Baal Hermon, that is, to Senir, or Mount Hermon.”

A cave near Caesarea Philippi is said to be the birthplace of the Greek god Pan, the god of nature, fields, forests, mountains, flocks and shepherds. “He is son of Hermes by one or another nymph; his mother was so scared by his appearance that she abandoned him at birth and Hermes introduced him to Olympus. His name is probably related to the same root as Latin pasco, and thus means ‘shepherd.’” (Richard Stoneman, Greek Mythology, p. 136). The cult of Pan originated in Arcadia, a pastoral region in Greece. Greek travelers, finding the landscape was like their homeland, established this area of worship to Pan. During the Hellenistic period, a sanctuary was built to Pan. There are five niches hewn out of rock to the right of the cave — at one time they probably held statues — three of the niches bear inscriptions in Greek mentioning Pan, Echo and Galerius (one of Pan’s priests).

The original name for Caesarea Philippi was Panias (also spelt Paneas, Paneion and Paneias). The modern name is Banias — an Arabic corruption of Panias.

The Jordan river has four main sources, and the cave at Caesarea Philippi is its’ easternmost source — this alone would make the area full of emotion for the Jews. “This is a very fine cave in a mountain, under which there is a great cavity in the earth; and the cavern is abrupt, and prodigiously deep, and full of water. Over it hangs a vast mountain, and under the cavern arise the springs of the River Jordan.” (The Works Of Flavius Josephus).

In Caesarea Philippi there was a great temple of white marble built to the godhead of Caesar — it had been built by Herod the Great. “At Paneas Antiochius III defeated the Ptolemies of Egypt in 200 BCE, thus establishing Seleucid rule in Palestine and Syria In 20 BCE, Augustus gave Paneas to King Herod who erected there a temple of white marble to his patron (Josephus, Antiq. 15, 10.3/360); but the city was built only later by his son Herod Philip. During the First Jewish War (66-70 CE), Vespasian together with Titus and his army encamped there, and were entertained by King Agrippa II (Josephus, War, 3, 9.7/443-44). After the death of Agrippa II, Caesarea Philippi was attributed to the province of Syria, and later to Phoenicia.” (Rousseau and Arav, Jesus And His World, p. 34).

In 2 B.C. Herod the Great’s son, Philip, named it Caesarea in honor of Augustus, and, to differentiate it from Caesarea Maritima, it became known as Caesarea Philippi. Later, Herod Agrippa would call the place Neroneas in honor of the Emperor Nero. After the destruction of Jerusalem, “The victors gave no quarter, but slew all Jews upon whom they could lay their hands; 97,000 fugitives were caught and sold as slaves; many of them died as unwilling gladiators in the triumphal games that were celebrated at Berytus, Caesarea Philippi and Rome.” (Will Durant, Caesar And Christ, p. 545).

Caesarea Philippi was probably destroyed by an earthquake in 363 A.D. Since 1967 there has been considerable excavation in and around the city — the shrine of Pan has been cleared, along with the Herodian palace.
    Who Is Jesus?

With Caesarea Philippi as a backdrop we have a dramatic picture of Jesus of Nazareth, a penniless Galilean carpenter, surrounded by twelve ordinary men. The Jewish leaders were already plotting and planning on destroying Him as a dangerous heretic.

Jesus was standing on a road in an area littered with the temples of the Syrian gods, a place where the Greek gods looked down, a place where the most important river in Judaism sprang to life, a place where the white marble splendor of the home of Caesar-worship dominated the landscape. And here, of all places, He stands and asks men who they believe Him to be. Peter boldly answers that He is “the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matt. 16:16). Someone suggested that it is as if Jesus deliberately set Himself against the background of the world’s religions in all their splendor and glory and demanded to be compared with them.
    The Transfiguration

The great confession at Caesarea Philippi was followed by the great hour on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matt. 17:1-9). Tradition connects the Transfiguration with Mount Tabor, but this is highly unlikely — it is too far away to fit into the story. Besides, during the time of Jesus Mount Tabor was populated and a Hasmonean fortress stood on its summit. The fortified mountain had to be conquered by the Romans in the great Jewish War in 67 A.D. It is more likely that the Transfiguration happened on Mount Hermon — just 14 miles from Caesarea Philippi.

Mount Hermon is Israel’s highest mountain. Its summit (9,232 feet above sea level) is actually in Syrian territory. Mount Hermon is 11,000 feet above the level of the Jordan valley — so high it can sometimes be seen from the Dead Sea, at the other end of Palestine, more than 100 miles away.

Mount Hermon was generally considered in the local tradition as a holy mountain. The Hebrew word for “Hermon” can be translated as “the mountain set apart.” Peter speaks of the Transfiguration and recalls how “we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain” (2 Peter 1:18).

Jesus had come to this mountain to pray (Luke 9:28-29). The Transfiguration must have happened at night, for Luke tells us that the disciples were weighted down with sleep (Luke 9:28-35). It was the next day when Jesus and His disciples came back down to the plain to find the father of the epileptic boy waiting (Luke 9:37). It was probably some time in the sunset, or in the late evening, when the Transfiguration took place.

Here on the mountain two great figures appear — Moses and Elijah — both of whom had experienced the power of God on a mountain top.

When Moses came down from Sinai, he “did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him” (Exodus 34:29). It was on Mount Sinai that Moses received the Law (Exodus 31:18). At his death, Moses, the top of Pisgah, could see Mount Hermon (Deut. 34:1-4).

Elijah met with God on Mount Horeb (1 Kings 19:8-12), and met the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:20-40).

The topic of conversation at the Transfiguration was “of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem” (Luke 9:31). The word which is translated “decease” is very significant — it is exodos, which is exactly the same as the English word exodus — a word which is always used in connection with the departure of the people of God from Egypt.

Both Moses and the prophet Elijah departed this world in an unusual manner. Moses was buried in a place known only to God (Deut. 34:5-12). Elijah was talking with Elisha, and “as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven” (2 Kings 2:11).

The gospel writers speak of the luminous cloud that overshadowed them. The cloud was a part of Israel’s history — all throughout their history it had stood for the shechinah, which was the glory of Almighty God! In Exodus we read of the “pillar of cloud” which was to lead people on their way (Exodus 13:21-22). It was in a cloud that the Lord descended to give Moses the tables of the Law (Exodus 34:5). When the Tabernacle was completed the narrative ends with these words: “Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle” (Exodus 40:34). At the dedication of Solomon’s Temple, “when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord” (1 Kings 8:10-11). No Jew could have seen the shechinah without thinking of the glory of God resting upon His people.

From the glory on the mount of Transfiguration to the humiliation on the cross of Calvary, Jesus was and still is “the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matt. 16:16).

Who do you say that Jesus, the Son of Man, is?

    A Poem Worth Reading
He was getting old and paunchy
And his hair was falling fast,
And he sat around the Legion,
    Telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he once fought in
And the deeds that he had done,
    In his exploits with his buddies;
    They were heroes, every one.

And ‘tho sometimes to his neighbors
    His tales became a joke,
    All his buddies listened quietly
For they knew where of he spoke.

But we’ll hear his tales no longer,
For ol’ Jim has passed away,
And the world’s a little poorer
    For a Soldier died today.

He won’t be mourned by many,
Just his children and his wife.
    For he lived an ordinary,
Very quiet sort of life.. He held a job and raised a family,
    Going quietly on his way;
And the world won’t note his passing,
    ‘Tho a Soldier died today.

    When politicians leave this earth,
    Their bodies lie in state,
    While thousands note their passing,
And proclaim that they were great. Papers tell of their life stories
From the time that they were young
But the passing of a Soldier
    Goes unnoticed, and unsung.

    Is the greatest contribution
To the welfare of our land,
Some jerk who breaks his promise
    And cons his fellow man?

    Or the ordinary fellow
Who in times of war and strife,
Goes off to serve his country
    And offers up his life?

    The politician’s stipend
And the style in which he lives,
    Are often disproportionate,
To the service that he gives.

    While the ordinary Soldier,
    Who offered up his all,
Is paid off with a medal
    And perhaps a pension, small.

    It is not the politicians
    With their compromise and ploys,
Who won for us the freedom
That our country now enjoys. Should you find yourself in danger,
    With your enemies at hand,
Would you really want some cop-out,
    With his ever waffling stand?

Or would you want a Soldier—
His home, his country, his kin,
    Just a common Soldier,
Who would fight until the end.

He was just a common Soldier,
And his ranks are growing thin,
But his presence should remind us
We may need his like again. For when countries are in conflict,
    We find the Soldier’s part
Is to clean up all the troubles
    That the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor
While he’s here to hear the praise,
Then at least let’s give him homage
At the ending of his days.

    Perhaps just a simple headline
In the paper that might say:
    “OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING,
A SOLDIER DIED TODAY.” A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable ‘To My Country’ for an amount “up to and including my life.”
That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

i hope this writer is on target when he sez da dimms will drop obama.......

    Barack Hussein Obama:
“I Told You So, Yes I Did! “
    By Howard Galganov
    Montreal, Quebec, Canada

When Obama won the Presidency with the help of the LEFTIST media, Hollywood And Entertainment Liberals, Ethnic Socialists (ACORN), Stupid Non-Business Professionals and Bush Haters, I wrote:
It won’t take six months until the People figure this guy out and realize how horrible a mistake they’ve made. And when they come to that realization, the damage to the United States of America will be so great it will take a generation or more to repair - IF EVER.

The IDIOTS who not only voted for the Messiah, but also worked hard to promote his Lordship, are now left holding the bag.

Here are two things they will NEVER do: They will NEVER admit to making a Blunder out of all proportion by electing a snake-oil salesman with no Positive social history or management experience of any kind. They will NEVER take responsibility for the curse they’ve imposed upon the immediate and long-term future of their country.

In essence, the people responsible for putting this horror show in power are themselves responsible for every cataclysmic decision he makes and the Consequences thereof.

In just six months, the Messiah’s polls are showing the following:

    1. On Healthcare Reform - He’s going under for the third time with polling well Under 50 percent, even within his own Party. Even though he might be able to Muscle a Healthcare Reform Bill by using Chicago BULLY tactics against his Fellow Democrats, it will just make things worse.
    2. On Cap and Trade (Cap and Tax) - The Fat-Lady is already singing.
    3. On the Stimulus Package (Tax and Spend) - His popularity is in FREE-FALL.
    4. On the TARP package he took and ran with from President Bush - It’s all but Good-Night Irene.
    5. On the closing of GITMO and “HIS” war on what he no longer wants called the War On Terrorism - He’s standing in quicksand with his head just about to go under.
    6. On a Comparison between himself and George W. Bush at the same six months into Their respective first term Presidencies - Bush is ahead of him in the Polls.
    7. On a comparison between He Who Walks On Water and the 12 preceding Presidents between WW II and now - Obama ranks 10th.
    8. On a Poll just Conducted, that asks who would you vote for today between Obama and Mitt Romney - It’s a dead heat. Between Obama and Palin - Obama’s ONLY ahead by 8 Points and she hasn’t even begun to campaign. It seems to me that Obama Wants to be everywhere where he shouldn’t be.

He’s personally invested in ‘totally insulting’ America ‘s ONLY REAL Middle Eastern ally ( Israel ) in favor of Palestinian Despots and Murderers. He’s traveling the world apologizing for the USA while lecturing others on how to do it right, when in fact and truth he has no experience at doing anything other than getting elected.

He went to the Muslim world in Egypt to declare that America IS NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION while he heaped praises on Islam, where he compared the “plight” of the Palestinians to the Holocaust.

The Russians think he’s a putz, The French think he’s rude.

The Germans want him to stop spending.

The Indians want him to mix his nose out of their environmental business.

The North Koreans think he’s a joke.
The Iranians won’t acknowledge his calls.

And the British can’t even come up with a comprehensive opinion of him.

As for the Chinese, he’s too frightened to even glance their way. [After All, China now owns a large portion of the United States.]

Maybe if America’s first Emperor would stay home more, travel less, and work a little bit instead of being on television just about everyday or stop running to “papered” Town Hall Meetings, perhaps he would have a little bit of time to do the work of the nation.

In all fairness, it wasn’t HARD to be RIGHT in my prediction concerning Obama’s presidency, even in its first six months, so I’m going to make yet another prediction:

OBAMA WILL PROBABLY NOT FINISH HIS 4-YEAR TERM, at least not in a Conventional way.

He is such a political HORROR SHOW, and so detrimental to the USA and his Own Democratic Party, that the Democrats themselves will either FORCE him to Resign or figure out a way to have him thrown out.

Or - MORE LIKELY THAN NOT, the Democrats will make Obama THEIR OWN LAME DUCK PRESIDENT.

I don’t believe the Democrats have nearly as much love for their country as they do for their own political fortunes. And with Obama, their fortunes are rapidly becoming toast.

the two points that i make to those who ask about the crucifix, are from the writings of paul, whom they take as having more credence than those of Jesus Himself.
( 1 ) 1 Corinthians 1: 22. For both the Jews require signs, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
    23. But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews indeed a stumbling block, and unto the Gentiles foolishness:

and ( 2 )1 Corinthians 11 19. For there must be also heresies: that they also, who are approved, may be made manifest among you.
    20. When you come therefore together into one place, it is not now to eat the Lord’s supper.
    21. For every one taketh before his own supper to eat. And one indeed is hungry and another is drunk.
    22. What, have you not houses to eat and to drink in? Or despise ye the church of God; and put them to shame that have not ? What shall I say to you? Do I praise you? In this I praise you not.
    23. For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread.
    24. And giving thanks, broke, and said: Take ye, and eat: this is my body, which shall be delivered for you: this do for the commemoration of me.
    25. In like manner also the chalice, after he had supped, saying: This chalice is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as you shall drink, for the commemoration of me.
    26. For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall proclaim the death of the Lord, until he come.
    27. Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord.
    28. But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice.
    29. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord.
    30. Therefore are there many inform and weak among you, and many sleep.

here in these two sections, you have two major counterattacks.
First, paul specifically says he preaches “Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews, foolishness to the greeks”
Then, in the other passage, he writes “For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall proclaim the death of the Lord, until he comes.”
Let me see, “preach Christ crucified” and “ proclaim the death of the Lord”, both seem very clear to me.
Empty cross or crucifix? you choose.

the other major point is Paul is being explicitly clear that the Communion is not just a “remembrance”, but that we have to “discern the body... and the blood OF THE LORD.”

    Why it is unconstitutional ..

The federal government has only specific enumerated powers. Specifically the 9th and 10th Amendments limit Congress’s powers only to those granted in the Constitution.

One of those powers “ The Commerce Clause” ie the power “to regulate interstate commerce” is the favorite hook on which Congress hangs its hat in order to justify the regulation of anything it wants to control.

The Supreme Court decision Wickard v. Filburn (1942) has been cited as giving the Congress a green light to use the Commerce Clause to regulate noncommercial, and even purely local, private behavior. The event that resulted in the case “Filburn” was the US Govt was trying to boost the price of wheat by artificially manipulating the market by paying farmers not to grow wheat - thus shortening the supply and raising the price. Well like all good farmers - they subsisted on what they grew and because most farmers grew a little more wheat than they were supposed to for their own stores - the Supreme Court held that farmers who grew wheat just for the consumption in excesss of the federal agricultural guidelines, violated the federal agricultural guidelines enacted pursuant to the Commerce Clause. Although the wheat did not move across state lines the Court held that if other similarly situated farmers were permitted to do the same it, might have an aggregate effect on interstate commerce. - IE the price of wheat wouldn’t go up ..

Later - the Supreme Court unwound the scope of Wilburn when it invalidated a congressional ban on illegal guns within 1,000 feet of public schools. In United States v. Lopez (1995), the Court ruled that the Commerce Clause may only be used by Congress to regulate human activity that is truly commercial at its core and that has not traditionally been regulated by the states. The movement of illegal guns from one state to another, the Court ruled, was criminal and not commercial at its core, and school safety has historically been a state function.

Regulate human activity - James Madison, argued that “to regulate” meant to keep regular. Madison’s understanding was the commonly held one in 1789, since the principle reason for the Constitutional Convention was to establish a central government that would prevent ruinous state-imposed tariffs that favored in-state businesses. It would do so by assuring that commerce between the states was kept “regular.”

Applying these principles to President Barack Obama’s health-care proposal appears unconstitutional. The practice of medicine consists of the delivery of intimate services to the human body. In almost all instances, the delivery of medical services occurs in one place and does not move across interstate lines. One goes to a physician not to engage in commercial activity, as the Framers of the Constitution understood, but to improve one’s health. And the practice of medicine, much like public school safety, has been regulated by states for the past century.

The same Congress that wants to tell family farmers what to grow in their backyards has declined “to keep regular” the commercial sale of insurance policies. It has permitted all 50 states to erect the type of barriers that the Commerce Clause was written precisely to tear down. Insurers are barred from selling policies to people in another state unless they are licensed by State Govt insurance commissioner.

So - Congress refuses to keep commerce regular when it allows the commercial activity of selling insurance, but claims it can regulate the removal of a person’s appendix because that constitutes interstate commerce.
