  • Help me find the Truth. (Personal question)

the agnostic sitting in the next cubicle, who encouraged me to start this thread, thinks you’re all goofy and off-your-rockers. He said that it’s the like of you who drove him away from Christianity years ago. He said that with the like of you, Mormonism has nothing to fear.

I also want to thank all those who are truly concerned for my salvation and told me in loving Christlike ways that you are. I truly appreciate it. My agnostic buddy said that if more people had been like you earlier in his life, he probably would have stayed Christian, but then he said with a wink “Only God knows.”
    ************************************************************
As only GOD can search and know the heart of man. Both you and your agnostic co-worker will be in my prayers. Although your question was posed as a rhetorical one, perhaps office boredom or perhaps a real desire to discover God’s presence in ones life I pray and will continue to pray that both of you pose your questions to Him who holds all the answers.

    May God richly bless you,
    Marguerite

As far as this thread is concerned, I am a sincere agnostic attempting to find the truth and all these comments about Mormons don’t mean anything. I’m just hoping that some more Christians who view themselves as traditional/biblical/evangelical/fundamental/mainstream will be willing to say what they believe and be willing to at least attempt to answer my “agnostic” questions.

Whether your posting under the guise of an agnostic, athiest, mormon is irrelevant. Your initial post was seeking the source of a Christians joy and happiness. Many of your follow-up responses to various posts can or could lead one to debate or recommend or denounce specific denominations or beliefs something I’m not willing to do.

I do not know the purpose of your post but take at face value your stated reason of seeking truth. Only GOD knows whats in your heart, I don’t a clue. But I do know without doubt or question is that GOD is eternally faithful, merciful, loving full of grace and compassion and if you are sincere in seeking HIM I wouldn’t refer you to a specific church, video or such, I refer you to HIM. I wouldn’t send you to a church I would send you to your knees to pray, as He says “ask, seek and knock”. I trust in God’s promises and I know if you pray and ask for answers, for truth, for HIM to reveal Himself to you, HE will and He will bring people into your life that will help teach you, He will lead you to the right church.

As I previously wrote, my happiness and joy doesn’t come from a church or religion, or people but in a personal relationship with GOD. You ask how I learned-a relationship with God isn’t learned or something to be mimicked. simply stated for me, I called out to God in confusion, distress and a sense of utter helpless and hopelessness without really knowing who God was or if He was- He answered me, I invited Him into my life and my life comppletly changed. No man or woman can teach what only GOD can give and what only a relationship with GOD can reveal and illuminate. But what we can do is live the Gospel, demonstrate love, joy, peace and hope in all aspects of our lives.

“I ask you what you believe and how I can find the happiness and joy you have in your life”

I would tell you that the happiness and joy that I have in my life doesn’t come from a church or a religion but from the personal, intimate relationship I have with GOD through faith in the completed work of Christ. I would say once I started reading the Bible to learn about and draw closer to God is when the truth of His love, His grace, His mercy and His interest and love for me began to be revealed and that revelation has brought complete happiness and joy into my life as well as a sense of fullness and contentment that I always hungered for but never believed could be obtained.

your probably right, it probably won’t do a bit of good, but inaction and silence accomplishes nothing. I know many would label me a right wing terrorist because I am a Christian and I am a proud American. As a christian I am called to take up my cross and follow Him, as an American I was taught about the soul of this country, about the sacrifice of our men and woman-I know the petition and one voice is like trying to bring down a t-rex with a fly swatter:)

We have learned the outstanding news of Roman Polanski's arrest by the Swiss police on September 26th, upon arrival in Zurich (Switzerland) while on his way to a film festival where he was due to receive an award for his career in filmmaking.

His arrest follows an American arrest warrant dating from 1978 against the filmmaker in a case of aggravated assault and rape of a 13 year old American citizen.

Filmmakers in France, in Europe, in the United States and around the world are dismayed by this decision and in an effort to aid their colleague in his avoidance of being brought to justice, they have clogged our airwaves with flowery tributes to him and signed petitions in an attempt to shape public opinion and circumvent the laws of the United States. The most horrific thing they have done is to discount and minimize his crime against a 13 year old child and against the citizens of the United States of America.

The passage of time in no way replaces justice, fame, acclaim nor influential friendships in no way replaces restitution by fulfilling the terms of his sentence, and a banner of immorality in the name of art in no way replaces repentance.

The arrest of Roman Polanski in a neutral country, where he assumed he could travel without hindrance, is a victory for children’s rights world wide as it is a clear statement that no one is above the law and that the civilized nations of this world will act in unison of purpose in protecting children. . Yes, Roman Polanski is a French citizen, renowned and of international fame, that is his profession. In the United States 30 years ago, Roman Polansky assaulted a 13 year old girl with alcohol and drugs then raped and sodomized her that is his crime no passage of time or film awards satisfy justice. As his profession as a film maker is applauded, We the citizens of the United States wish to remind the world, the crime he commited was not a story line in a film, his victim was not an actress and the laws of the United States of America is not an awards ceramony where he who has the most votes wins.

In the name of justice, We the citizens of the United States request that you extradite Roman Polansky.

I’m confused, their not pedophiles but homosexuals attracted to sex with adolescent males? OK I guess its pre-pubescent versus adolescent. Its all sick, is all wrong, the church denomination, gender, pre-pubery, post-puberty etc is irrelevant. It saddens me that “spirtual leaders” are pointing their fingers saying look they are just as bad or worse. “Only 1.5-5% of Catholic Clergy were involved in child sex abuse” The hearts and souls of our children are not percentages or statistics. How many children have not received Christ or have turned away from God because of the abuses that happened to them at “church” whether Catholic, Baptist, Luthern whatever denomination. The Church of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ should and must be first and formost a sanctuary for the children in our society

Shame on any church that doesn’t look the world in the eye when this happens in their church and take full responsibility and accountability. Pointing fingers, statistics and presenting statistics is for politicans not the Church of Jesus Christ our Priest, our King, our Savior!

I’m reading things about the amdinistration considering exit plan in Afganistan, closing of gitmo, Iran secret underground enrichment facility, etc etc things that make me nervous relative to our national security-now all of a sudden we are foiling the plots of would be terrorists all over the country faster than a speeding bullet 3 in less than a week?- I have to ask myself why would we be hearing about the first one (colorado guy) at such an early stage, ton the news and every where when that would obviously tip off the rest of the network involved? We’re hearing to much too soon. At a time when some of the decisions are making Americans nervous about our national security and our vulnerability to terrorism. I just get a gut feeling that its staged to give the impression that the admin not only has it under control but he’s foiling terrorist plots almost before their concieved placing blank charges in the car bombs.

The second part of my post-

I guess I was reflecting on being an American and how that has shaped me; and the very things that I was raised to be proud of and stand for has somehow been turned inside out by the media and our “leaders” and I hear myself being labeled a racist, a right wing nut job, a nazi simply because I believe in, am proude of and stand for the core essence of what this country was built on.

something just doesn’t feel right about all of this. On the surface its “awesome we’re foiling the terrorist plots” wow our government is ON THE JOB whoo hoo. But it just doesn’t feel right to me. Two cases where the loonie guy thinks he’s planting a vehicle full of explosives and another network that were tipped off a bit too soon all in a week and the public we’re hearing about it within minutes of these things going down. I just feel like I’m being sung a lullyby and I’m suposed to drift off into peaceful sleep.

There is so much that simply is “off” nowdays- puzzle pieces that don’t fit into the picture being painted; but I bet if we take the pieces that don’t fit here, and there and piece them together we’ll put the real picture together.

I’m not a right wing radical, nor a nazi or loon I’m a normal middle aged non “white” woman who works hard, raised two beautiful daughters one who served in the Navy, volunteer in my community, I reach out to the homeless, etc all American story, pride and life. I’m an American, I was born an American, I was raised on American values- I was raised to respect the flag,to pray for our soldiers and our leaders and to hold my head high in the name of the United States of America.

The pieces just don’t fit together.

there are two HCPC (CPT) codes for foot amputation 28800 and 28805 these are the codes that physicians use to bill for reimbursement. For lower leg amputation the codes are 27880-27882.

This will show you what Medicare pays by region through out the nation- Medicaid pays even less. Most private payers base their reimbursement on Medicare so if you have a very good contract maybe just maybe you’ll get 150% of Medicare. It amazes me that he would imply surgeons are being paid $30,000-$40,000-and they talk about evil mongers?

As the surgeons stated in their letter, the payment you see includes the pre-op, the surgery and 90 days of post operative follow-up.
