Is Bruno really porn? I haven’t seen it, but based on Borat and Cohen’s other work I seriously doubt it. Obscene yes, porn no. Porn is intended to sexually arouse, Cohen’s movies, while crude, are clearly inteded to be humorous (and at times are indeed very funny). Or as the post on this thread states in quoting the actual law, “such depiction lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value”. Cohen’s movies are satire, crude, but as I said often funny, and often on point about those they mock. As such they clearly contain “artistic value”.
I’m sure these people mean well, but really I don’t think it’s their business to tell other parents what movies they can take their kids to.
