Soft-headed liberals (sorry for the redundancy) too often confuse non-violent protest with pacifism. In many cases, peaceful protest is an important tool in fighting for liberty. But renouncing the use of violence in principle, under any circumstances, simply makes one an accomplice to evil and is an abomination.

A poem I wrote to highlight the difference between Jesus and false religion. In the scriptures Jesus received the most opposition from the most religious people of his day. At it's core Jesus' gospel and the good news of the Cross is in pure opposition to self-righteousness/self-justification. Religion is man centered, Jesus is God-centered. We started this blog to share the blessings, trials, and news of our journey with our baby, Anna Joy. Her conception was a miracle surprise, and we've known from the start that God has a special purpose for her life. This Memorial Day weekend, Governor Palin and her family were very proud and humbled to be able to pay their respects at many of the moving and beautiful monuments and memorials in Washington, DC and the surrounding area. Two churches were firebombed and an apartment building was attacked in the Imbaba suburb of Cairo May 7 in a round of violence that ended with twelve people dead and more than 200 wounded.
