Is this thing really working again?

I'm looking for information from South Carolina Freepers about the best places to live in the Greenvile, SC area. The job is a promotion and I'm leaning toward accepting it, but I don't know very much about South Carolina except that it is warmer than KC. The wife and I play a lot of golf so we like the idea of warmer weather, but we are looking for a little insight into what the area is like.
