First of all, I'm not sure that Hillary knows that many black people to be aware that she mispronounced Medgar Evers' name. President Clinton may have been known as the first black president, the attribute (or is it an attribute?) ultimately found to be egregiously misharacterized, but Hillary was certainly never thought of as the first black First Lady.

Second of all, calling Hillary the world's smartest woman even in jest or sarcasm is an insult to all smart women everywhere.

I am a Torah scholar having completed the the study of the Talmud in its entirety. I have never heard of, nor do I have any idea of the meaning, significance of connecting principles. It sounds like gibberish to me, and a layman would be hard-pressed to make any sense of it.

I remember the days when a Yahoo standard Mail account had maximum storage of 4 MB. That was in 1998. What's with Great Britain and the delusion of itself as some global player, unmatched naval power, desperately clinging to the remnants of what once was the British Empire at its most expansive?

Forget that its military, naval forces have been pared to the bone and beyond not being able to afford the most basic of military expenditures, as far as England is concerned tradition trumps realism, pragmatism as the misguided perspective of British foreign policy that guides its priorities to spend billions of dollars maintaining the far-flung remnants of wilderness and desolation it desperately feels the need to hold on to as the moral equivalent of slavery and the vanity that drives them to challenge every attempt by sovereign nations to claim what is rightfully theirs. In the halcyon days of England's overwhelming naval power, these sovereign nations had no choice but to accede to the demand of British expansionism and imperialism. Might makes right, and until the modern era where England can not nearly achieve a militarily-potent force it has no business holding on to sovereign nation's territory illegally usurped by intimidation and military intervention.

The Falklands War, if ever a pointless exercise in brinkmanship there ever was, its legacy of untold dead soldiers in an effort to salvage is national honor, hegemony, in exchange for some lifeless strip of land thousands of miles away, demonstrates the manner in which Great Britain today still sees itself as the glorious empire of yesteryear of which the sun having set upon it long ago. Despite all that, England can boast of the proud stewardship remaining responsible for a chain of desolate islands with no strategic attributes, situated within close proximity of the South Pole.

All I can muster is to say is "Hail, Britannica" in sarcasm and cynicism.

And now England is off again on an ill-advised, misguided mission to retain Gibraltar, again,probably at all costs. The difference is that this time it is NATO it is going to have to deal with and not some banana-republic triumvirate. But national pride makes nations o things it usually ends up regretting and England's traditions, institutions are burnished into the British psyche, not easily abandoned.

When it comes to its national interests, traditions, institutions Britain can be a very entrenched, stubborn entity.

Its support of the slacker parasites that sponge off the British people that comprise the British Monarchy in all its inglorious, self-validating pointlessness has wseven in 10 Britons believing the monarchy is good for the country and only 22 percent support abolishing the institution, a poll released Friday found.

Americans understand the mentality in which its royal subjects are infatuated with the aggrandizement in which the institution of the Monarchy is so beloved, in a manner not unlike America's own infatuation with Royalty in the guise of the worship of the couple that would be Camelot, Barack and Michelle as America's First Couple accorded the same sense of fealty and subservience on Obama, as the President King and the gracious Lady Michelle, as Bizarro doppleganger to England's Queen. Michelle's arrogance, who believes herself as inheritor of the 'divine right of kings' hasn't been witnessed since the words "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche",Let them eat cake, was invoked over three hundred years ago.

The Monarchy is the British people's own unique vice, that despite outlasting its usefulness nevertheless adds a sense of decorum, class and grace to the British national character, that America with its pseudo-elite black trash version of white trash can, will never emulate.

I’ve done an awful amount of posting (over 1,300 since 2009) always driven to complete the post, my comments as quickly as possible to avoid this very thing of posting an article within minutes of one that is identical. This is the very first time someone had beaten me to it despite having made the search and not finding the article but taking too much time posting, commenting leading me to come in at second place.

Sorry about posting identical articles. When I first saw the article, I checked to see of it was already posted but as it had not appeared in the search I proceeded to post it, taking me about ten minutes to make my comments after which I noticed that the similar article had appeared about two minutes before I posted my own. Despite his apology ( link below) Reid's characterization of Obama as light skinned without any Negro dialect hardly qualifies him as NAACP's "White Man of the Year".

Not to say there isn't any validity to it, but on many accounts this article, numerous illustrations used to validate the premise presented, is misleading in its conclusion about the US and Russia.

Many of the illustrations listed as indication of Russia's economic resurgence are dubious to say the least, very much beside the point in not proving anything, one way or another.

"Catching Up" to the United States is an ambiguous point of reference that means not a dam thing. "Catching up" can mean a myriad of things, achieved in myriad of ways that in a practical sense has no bearing regarding economic prowess, competitiveness.

Putin is as hardline as any former, old Cold War warrior could be, resents terribly Gorbachev's dismantling of the Soviet Empire, and yearns, is wholly nostalgic for the halcyon days of glory that was the now defunct Soviet Union having him look to counter the US, the West at every opportunity, even to Russia's own detriment. Providing Iran with nuclear technology is much as a detriment to Russia as it is to the West but as an old hardline Soviet sycophant was a propitious opportunity to poke the West in the eye too tempting to pass up.

The yawning economic chasm that has always emphatically defined the difference between that of capitalism vs. Bolshevikism, has certainly narrowed, despite the contraction of the USSR to a much lesser economic power that says more about the manner in which The US has atrophied economically than about Russia's "glorified" resurgence.

Herein lies the fundamental, hard-wired manifestation that underscores black society's dysfunctionality that has them mired in the past having allowed the world, civilization to pass them by.

While the march of time having inexorably transformed society, the black community, its leadership, remains mired in anachronistic self-delusion, not evolving one iota in the manner in which they seek to overcome the daunting problems they face.

In place of imbuing future generations with the means in which to deal with life's daunting challenges with realism, pragmatism, say, to prevent the innumerable multitude of Trayvon Martins that occur on any given day, they close down all schools, doing what they do best in wasted time,energy, resources as the article says, for a "full" week, to rabble-rouse, rant and rave, demanding more, more, much more of what they've already extorted from society.

"Trayvon Martin could have been me" said the racially-divisive president in an un-classy, tacky response to the Martin controversy. And similarly, if some gay athlete is the victim of violence, abuse, the president could truthfully say, "that could have been me".
