  • Edward Snowden blames Obama

    LibertyLA to Sub-Driver

If Snowden had done the governments version of whistleblowing I doubt we’d have heard of him - or that he would still be alive. The FedGov is not following the rule of law anymore.

The 4th amendment is VERY clear and it trumps any make-believe laws. I have been reflecting on whether, if I thought if I saw a clear violation of the constitution, would I have had the guts to do anything about it. I honestly would not like to end up dead or in a SuperMax 8x10 foot cell seeing light through a tiny sliver of a window up by the ceiling for the rest of my life. I’d say what he did is a hell of a lot braver than any of us keyboard warriors are doing. This in no ‘game’ he is playing - this is your life on the line. Nothing funny about it.

Going to Hong Kong was very, very clever of him. He’s no dope. It’s the only place they will have a hard time getting him. I think the man is playing chess, not checkers, which is p.o.’ing a bunch of people! Seeing Lindsey Graham having a moment of homo anger is always worth a good laugh! His panties are all up in a bunch (what a sissy).

Also, this totally destroys Obama’s ‘cred’ for his cult followers. This is helping to make that Kenyan a very lame duck.

    So there’s that too.

Personally someone has to starting fighting this beast we’ve made or we’re all done for.

Not sure if that is true - he is saying that first the border has to be secured, for real, or else he’s a no vote on it.

Unlike Rubio, who joined the gang of eight, Sen. Jeff Flake, R-AZ, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-SC, Sen. John McCain, R-AZ.

Rand is closer to being for freedom than most of what is out there! And that he supports protecting christians pushes him over the top for me.

Hell, our own military won’t lift a finger to protect christians as they are to afraid to offend moo slimes!

    >>from you and me swearing an oath to protect this country
    >>against all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC.

Just to clarify. The oath doesn’t say it’s to ‘protect the country’ - it says this:

“defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”

Without the constitution, there is no freedom, no law and no country. The 4th amendment is one of the core parts of the constitution and trumps all other laws, regulations, etc.

    Full oath below for reference.

I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.[1]

I think he wants to go to iceland. I think he has real balls to expose the fact that this government has zero respect for the fourth amendment - hell the FedGov (ie BATF) certainly does not respect the second amendment!

Frankly I really think we are building the beast control system here and now under the guise of the ‘war on terror’ - which I think will ultimately become the ‘war on christians.’ So anyone fighting against this globalist control freak state has my sympathy. I will not worship the beast!

Watch the whole video, I think he is playing it rather smart. He just needs to not get ‘disappeared’ - and Hong Kong, especially, pre-chinese was one of the freeest places on earth. I think he knows what he is up against. And unlike Manning, I think he just wanted us to know what a nightmare world the FedGov has in store for us.

I pray for the guy’s safety - he has real balls, defending the oath to the constitution to defend our rights from “enemies domestic.” The oath Obama has spit on. The oath our Senators laugh at.

Between the tyranny of the IRS - the fully communist/socialist bureaucratic monster the government has become - and the many political usurpations of our rights - at least one man has said, ‘no more.’

Anyone with the courage to go against these monsters has my respect!

We all can talk a big game about being defiant (from the safety of our computers), but this man had the courage to do something - and he may actually die for it - if they can get ahold of him.

Does anyone else out there have that real courage, or are they on the couch watching ‘dancing with the stars.’ I hope to get my courage back from this man’s example.

The reason the government can never become “moral” is that the bureaucracy - through and through - is leftist. There is no morality there.

You could have God himself elected president and the bureaucrats would never budge from their lefty agenda.

This is why the most important thing is to starve the “beast government” down to size. Which is why I only vote for those who will put the screws to government - in all its forms. We should only worry about being moral on a personal level - it is clear that a moral politician (which is an oxymoron) can ever reign in this monster we have all had a hand in creating.

Starve the beast - and if Rand Paul is for starving the FedGov, I’m for him.

You’re right, but it did take real stones to do the filibuster like he did. Kudos to Cruz (another man of courage), Mike Lee and eventually Rubio. Plus the members of congress who came over to stand with him.

This could have blown up in his face and yet he made it work. He didn’t read from a phone book. He spoke with conviction about the constitution! Laura Ingraham said she was amazed he could be coherent and passionate about liberty for so long. And no need for a teleprompter!

I try to explain to people that guns are a 14th century technology - it isn’t splitting the atom. Gunpowder is made from very abundant minerals.

You can build a gun if you have a semi decent machine shop, like a place that mills engine parts or bores cylinders. I think the guy who made the MAC-10 worked out of a quonset hut.

Like passing a law against guns will make them go away. The mob will make them.

I think they work for some people, but clearly not for others.

Also they are sneaky with these drugs - I tried a smoking cessation pill which turned out to be an SSRI like prozac. My general doctor gave it to me and never mentioned what it was.

Well, within a few days it felt as if the world was suddenly “not real” - I am not kidding, the strangest feeling I’ve ever had in my life. I discontinued immediately and flushed them down the toilet (I think it was 140 dollars worth). Doctor said, “oh, I should have told you about the possible side effects” (which were things like suicidal ideation).

And I would be described as grounded and a pretty happy person. God only knows if this fell into the hands of some borderline type.

But then, it does fall into the wrong hands all the time, this stuff is handed out like candy.

Also there are almost no MSM stories about this as the media is funded by ads from the companies that make this garbage. So no discussion that drugs may have contributed to Sandy Hook, as they already have to many others. Google “SSRI’s” and “shootings” for more info.

While I am sure some people are helped - we are probably sacrificing (killing) quite a few, generally via suicide. My other question is, are they giving these things to soldiers, as that would be truly evil.

I’d just like to see a list of medications they found in the house before they destroy the 2nd amendment. Lanza could also have been withdrawing from one of these meds, which means toxicology might show nothing.

Again, these prozac variants are bad news, with a percentage of the population losing their minds, and this should be considered.

Well, in my experience there are two kinds of libertarians - the big “L” kind and the little “l” kind. Clint Eastwood says he’s a libertarian, but he seems to be the little “l” kind. Mostly the little “l” type just want be left alone. Now, the big “L” type are ideologues, and are mostly useless as they have utopian ideals that are akin to anarchy, and like intellectual mind games. Also, that type just fights with each other about this ‘pure’ system and basically can’t even get themselves together.

As for social conservatism, no matter who gets elected, the bureaucracy we have in place today is made up of socialists and government unions that are by nature leftists. They are deeply entrenched, and they foster leftist ideas. The only way to get rid of them is to have less government. That’s the only way. Then there will be no ‘officials’ to push abortion, the gay agenda, etc. You have to starve the beast that pushes that stuff, and that beast is government. You can elect anyone you want, but unless the bureaucracy dies, the agenda will always be leftist. The leftists LOVE to work in government. Freedom loving people typically work in the private sector.

Anyway, the small “l” libertarians - the ‘leave me alone’ type - are allies in starving the beast, and I feel strongly we have to do that first or we will never get out of this cesspit.

    Amen to that.

Democrats are statists - they believe in big, centralized government and making a law to cover everything. What is appealing is de-centralization, less laws - just the laws that deal with violent behavior - real crimes.

Freedom, Liberty, is what we were founded on. We should be against a police state and “wars on everything” - these causes have only made the DC beltway bureaucracies into monsters with soul crushing power. We were fooled into giving up our liberty for a false sense of security. It is apparent the patriot act is for going after american’s, and most likely, conservatives with guns - read that ‘act’ sometime, you’ll be shocked what ridiculous powers are in it - powers that have little to do with muslim terrorists.

True liberty is the torch that will bring us together. If all we are offering is just a slightly “different” kind of police state - a coke to their pepsi - then we are doomed. Because that is barely a choice.

God, I would love to live in a free country again... instead of this strangling snarl of laws and regulations borne out of cowardice.

Anders Behring Breivik is later charged with the killings, as well as with an earlier bombing in Oslo which killed eight people. The trial ended last month with Breivik saying that his bombing and shooting rampage was necessary to defend the country - prompting a walk-out by relatives of his victims.

Dec. 13, 2011 - BELGIUM - Gunman Nordine Armani killed three people, including a 17-month-old toddler, wounding 121 in a central square in the eastern city of Liege, before shooting himself. The next day Belgian investigators found the body of a woman in warehouse used by the gunman raising the death toll, including the killer, to five.

July 20, 2012 - UNITED STATES - A masked gunman killed 14 people and wounded 50 others when he opened fire on moviegoers at a showing of new Batman film “The Dark Knight Rises” in the city of Denver.

It get weirder and weirder. A surveillance state - not America - is what we are getting.

When is everyone going to realize that the FedGov will eventually see those that believe in the constitution as the terrorists? They have already published it. Janet Napolitano believes it. The idea is being spread through the bureaucracy. We have to stop thinking the “security state” is our friend - it is our worst enemy. This is not America of 50 years ago. This is a whole new animal that has grown in it’s place. The FedGov has to be clipped down to size, we have to stop enabling it - believing it is all for our “safety,” or America will resemble some soviet hellhole shortly.

Well the right answer is to totally firewall any middle easterners out of the west - certainly America.

To win we either have to convert them to Christianity or being ready to nuke any country that aids the islamic jihadists. But we do not have the will to do it - we just don’t.

So we let them in this country, and then screen and terrorize our own people, grandmas, children, etc.

It’s just a mess and there is absolutely no one in power that will do anything that will actually solve the problem - just destroy us. It all makes me sick.

I honestly have no answer for this - other than what I stated above, which won’t happen - and following the wrong policies (nullifying the constitution) will destroy us just well.

Okay here are my thoughts on this after many years. By using a little logic and the brain God gave me I finally see this mess in a different way than I used to.

The media and government have hyped the sheeple into a frenzy. The public are afraid of terror. They're terrorized by terror. It is part of the whole new 'scared American' culture - scared of everything. Home of the brave - not anymore.

So here's the truth - here are the odds we live with (pulled from various sources):

    ODDS (Lifetime)

    Getting divorced: 1 in 3

Dying from heart disease: 1 in 3

    An American woman developing
    cancer: 1 in 3

    Getting arthritis: 1 in 7

Victim of a serious crime: 1 in 20

Getting colon cancer: 1 in 20

Writing a New York Times best seller: 1 in 220

Dying from falling down: 1 in 246

Injury from using a chain saw: 1 in 4,464

    Dying on a bicycle: 1 in 4,472

Injured by a toilet this year: 1 in 10,000

Winning an Academy Award: 1 in 11,500

    Being murdered: 1 in 18,000

Dying in a car accident: 1 in 18,585

Being wrongly declared dead by a
Social Security data entry mistake: 1 in 23,483

    Non-felon being murdered with a gun: 1 in 500,000

Being in a plane crash: 1 in 500,000

Dying from being bitten by a dog: 1 in 700,000

Death by lightning strike: 1 in 2.5 million

Dying from food poisoning: 1 in 3 million

    Getting AIDS from heterosexual sex
without using a condom: 1 in 5 million

Being elected President: 1 in 10 million

Dying in a terrorist attack: 1 in 30 MILLION

When you look at the odds you can CLEARLY see that this is just a way for the power mad control freaks in government get rid of individual liberty, to destroy the constitution and this country, and to grope grandmas, war vets and children - plain and simple. Just look at the numbers.

And please, please - wake up!! Being an enabler of the destruction of America and her constitution is not a great legacy.

Make the founders proud and just please, wake up.

I doubt many of them care how many young men die. I think they are more interested in ‘what’s for lunch.’

Politician’s are, by profession, expert liars and manipulators.

    I just saw the article.

Funny it’s an AP article and can’t find who wrote it.... yet.

Seems like a trial balloon. A cashless society would not be a free society. Being able to electronically zap away your money would be a major threat, and leverage to make you submit to any political system - imagine Hitler or Stalin having the ability to strip you of your assets with a keystroke.

Saw this comment on the CBS site:

“Guys. I live in Sweden, and this is totally bogus. The article is a PERFECT example of how you create a trend in the media by picking only the details you like. Bjorn Ulvaeus says something, and you pick up on that. A church installs a credit-card reader, and you pick up on that. Etc.

I have NEVER seen a church accept credit cards. This must be the only one. But you don’t see the journalist write about the many thousands of other churches. And he doesn’t write about the tens of thousands of businesses that accept cash.

You see only a few small details. And since that’s all you see, and Sweden is far away, you think they show the reality. But here in Sweden, I have never in my life heard of “Sweden moving toward cashless economy.” Ridiculous. Of course we will keep using cash.”

God help us - but this is the one world govt rearing its head.

They haven’t followed the constitution in a while - and that is because we don’t fight for it.

In the end we have pushed for this imbalanced mess - to follow the constitution means stopping the giant monstrosity that is the Federal Government. Unfortunately we all wanted the FedGov to push our pet political ideas (with the power of a gun behind it). And they did our bidding and now everything is a federal crime. Everything is a lawsuit. And everything we do has to be approved by a bureaucrat in Washington.

The FedGov, according to the constitution, shouldn’t be pushing anyone’s pet ideas. They should be in existence to protect our liberties and our borders and that’s about it.

But everyone wanted this monster - and now we have it - the same monster that will eventually crush christians and conservatives. We can all point our fingers in the mirror to see who is to blame. We asked for a mighty, ruthless giant, and we got one. God help us.

I could care less about the spring break.

What I see as scary is that the “free” press can be manipulated this easily - stories erased in a flash. Never saw this in any administration before.

This is getting creepier and creepier. This isn’t the America I know.

This crazy security super paranoia is just plain un-american and unconstitutional.

This endless war on everything seems to be having only one effect. We are losing our freedoms.

And I thought we had these wars to keep our freedoms... was I a fool to believe that? I am feeling sick to my stomach.

The place has bad juju. No country after Alexander the Great has had much luck with the place. I’d go so far as to say it’s bad luck is contagious!

Declare victory - leave - then keep an eye on it with satellites - if camps start up again, send the gift of cruise missiles or bomb it from 40,000 ft.

Actually i don’t care what the mainstream media thinks, or other lefty sites. I’m not a conservative who tries to make leftists like me. Hell, that has been the problem, we try and act nice and they knife us in the back anyway.

But interesting topic here, trying to get at the truth. Questioning constitutional issues. Possibly doing some good.

    Now that is worthwhile.

Breitbart never worried about being liked, or what was said about him - they attacked him for the Anthony Wiener Story. They said he was a nut for going after ACORN. The called him a nazi, a racist, etc. Did A.B. care? Not one bit!

I think we are in good company - fighting the good fight!

You are right on the money - it is the legality of the act.

If legal then there is cover, and also less likely that someone will say it is wrong.

And your comment about the FBI is true, I have a relative who won’t say much about what he does (he has an oath which I respect). But there’s a lot going on.

Then there is the gray area - retired special ops guys etc. Foreign experts, etc..

If the the legality is covered and it is in the interest of national security, well....

Just remember, Breitbart was actually dangerous. He brought down Weiner, he brought down ACORN, he brought down Sherrod (sp?). He was not just some windbag who made people uncomfortable. He actually was cleaning out the rat’s nest.

And now he was going to bring down the Commander and Chief - he announced he was going to do it at CPAC. He had done it in the past successfully too - he had a track record of success.

Yup, I’d say he was a national security threat of the highest order.

Arresting him would have just made him more popular, a martyr with a spotlight on the national stage. Better he just goes away and is replaced with confused, ineffective, windbags - like usual. Better for the homeland that way.
