The Roll Out Oct. 2nd I went to the website and put in my info. Later I went back and had a notice that my eligibility report was ready. Followed the steps which to me to a blank page. Tried again several time during Oct. and Nov. with the same results. The Fix Dec. 2nd I went back to the site. Followed the steps to view my eligibility only to be returned to the same blank page. While I was in there looking around I noticed the was a button to cancel my old application. So I started over... After...

This involves the image that shows the white hat bomber with the backpack behind the family of the eight year old who was killed in the bombing. I'm sorry, I don't know how to post an image here at FreeRepublic, so if someone else can... The first I saw this image it bothered me. The image shows the bomber facing left with the backpack hanging from his left hand dangling near the sidewalk. Slightly to the left of him and in the fore ground, the eight year old boy who was killed, his sister who lost a limb, and I...

I've been trying to wrap my head around this stuff today and this is some of the stuff I came up with. Based on a survey sample of 60,000: (avg. sample size used by the BLS) Sep 2012 civilian labor force - 38,166 (63.6%) employed - 35,191 (93.2%) unemployed - 2,975 (7.8%) not in labor force - 22,834 (36.4%) An error in reporting of 40 out of 60,000 as employed vs. unemployed would result in a reduction of the unemployed rate of 0.1%, thus a 0.3% reduction (8.1%-7.9%) would be the result of 120 more recorded as employed vs. unemployed....

Laveen, Arizona (CNN) -- Daniel Adkins knew his son would never leave Lady. So when animal control officers showed up at the door with Daniel Jr.'s yellow lab in tow, "I felt like he was calling out to me for help." Something was definitely wrong. Adkins and his wife, Antonia, had searched the neighborhood just hours earlier, tracing their missing son's footsteps down two miles of dusty road to a cluster of strip malls. But they didn't make it as far as the Taco Bell. If they had, they would have come across the flashing police lights and the body...

"We have just passed a law that conforms with federal law," he said. "We will see what happen. We expect them to do their job now and we'll see if they are going to do it." But when only five pickers showed up Thursday morning to harvest his sweet potatoes, farmer Keith Smith saw possible ruin: the loss of his half-million dollar crop. "They're running scared because of this new law," said Smith. "And you're in trouble?" asked Strassman. "I'm in trouble. Bad trouble." Smith's 200 acres need 20 pickers, mostly Mexican nationals. "There is not enough documented people here...

President Obama and his administration now have a little taste of victory after a federal judge in Mississippi dismissed a suit challenging the Affordable Care Act’s constitutionality. Judge Keith Starret, who sits on the bench of a U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Mississippi, shot down a suit over the bill’s individual mandate provision saying, “the Court finds that the allegations of Plaintiffs’ First Amended Petition, as stated therein, are insufficient to show that they have standing to challenge the minimum essential coverage provision of the PPACA [Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act]. Therefore, the Court dismisses Plaintiffs’...
