There was another earthquake. This time in Turkey.

I swear our politicians are living in a soap opera world...scandal after scandal..accusations after accusations, Massa and Paterson as two eamples. On a more serious note, yesterday afternoon the main gate at Las Vegas's Nellis Air Force Base was locked down after a man made a bomb threat, according to local reports. A spokesperson said that there was "no ongoing threat".

Prayers for the people in Japan and Chile as they recover from the earthquakes.

Well let's see. How much did O give away yesterday in Nev.....1.5 billion? His stash never seems to run out, does it?
-

Prayers for those getting hit with the snowstorm. Stay safe and warm.

I think we now have seen the real O. His performance at the State of the Union and at the republican retreat proves to me that he can't take anyone doubting his motives. Within the next three years I wouldn't be surprised if he threw himself to the floor while flailing his arms and holding his breath until he turns blue if we continue to question. Now THAT woud be a sad sight.

What a week we had.... Brown's election, the Supreme Court decision re: campaign money and Air America shutting down.I wonder what is in store for us next week?
-
Isn't it just special how the WH can pick and choose who is exempt from paying healthcare taxes? The union bosses will pay some other way, I imagine.
-
There is a fight going on about who will pay for the 9-11 trial in New York City. Should it be the federal government or state/city government?Yum!~ Hello!!! Either way you dummies, we are paying for it..the taxpaper.

And he continues to vacation in Hawaii. The press thinks the vacation is needed. Any comments?

It's being reported that O may hold a news conference regarding terrorism on the Detroit airplane. Too little ....too late!! Once again..you fail!!

Black Friday is over. Did any of you get good bargains? We went to Tractor Supply for horse and chicken feed. We saved 10%. Not a great deal, but I'm happy.

Our senators will vote on a bill they haven't read and the majority of the people don't want.Imagine if restaurant owners treated their customers that way by serving food the customers didn't want. Imagine the owners signed contracts with their food vendors without reading the contract and signed a lease for the building without reading it.I believe the restaurant owners would be out of business before long. Let's put the senators who vote on this bill out of business!

Just when I think things couldn't get worse, they do.Two upsetting decisions were made by the adminstration yesterday. One, Attorney General Eric Holder's choice to try 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad and four others in New York City. Two, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that the administration will push for immigration reform which will give the estimated 14 million illegals a “fair pathway to earned legal status.”These people are determined to bring our country down!!

It took the president about 2 minutes to address the murders/terrorism at Fort Hood. I swear he was accepting an Academy Award. Now, he tells us we must not jump to conclusions regarding the reason Nidal Malik Hasan did it. Liberals are claiming Nidal Malik Hasan was stressed. I swear before this is over the MSM and others will have Nidal Malik Hasan the hero and the police woman the attacker. On to other news. It may be on again off again for a healthcare vote tonight. Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said it may not happen , but we all...

I guess the "three O's" arrogance was just too much for the International Olympic Committee to handle. Ha!In other news, earthquakes continue to hit eastern California. No injuries or damage were reported.Unemployment is up to the highest since 1983. Energy adviser, Carol Browner, says there will be no climate control bill this year.

Today is the day we surround them in D.C. There are many people for me to thank and to pray for their safety. Stay strong. Stay safe.

Quick start this morning.

Keep voicing your opinions, folks. Let Obama, Congress, and the Senate know how you feel about not only Obamacare, but Cap and Trade, pork spending and their useless ideas.
-
More town hall meetings! More debate! Don't back down!
-
Well isn't this special. Pelosi and Hoyer believe it's just darn right un-American to express an opposing opinion (regarding healthcare) at the town hall meetings. Want more laughs??? Columnist Cynthia Tucker states "45 to 65%" of the protesters are motivated by racism. What wisdom these people have!! They must be clairvoyant from reading all the tea leaves sent to them.
-
Wow! Where to start? Where to start? What a week/month it has been! Bills flying through our Congress critters hands while their eyes are closed. Taxpayers being police escorted out of town hall meetings while protesting their reps or senators. Plenty of unrest in the country, but O has time to sit and have a beer with "friends". He has his priorities..dontcha know!
-
Up until this past week I would cringe at the thought that Obama was on TV peddling his wares. That has changed. I suggest that he does this daily. Perhaps, he can manage to insult not just police and doctors, but other groups as well. How about MSM next O? You can do it. I'll be cheering you on.
-
Keep making those calls, sending your letters and emailing your Congresscritters regarding Obamacare, Cap and Tax and Sotomayor folks. Spoiled brat O'bama doesn't like that his "subjects" object. People are catching on that this man is a control freak.
-
Well, it seems as though state-run MSM has egg on its face. Sarah Palin announced that she is not leaving politics and that she will campaign for all conservative candidates who share her views of smaller government, strong defense and energy idependence.Yes!!Of course, I won't hold my breath waiting for MSM to apologize or admit that their reports and comments were wrong.
-
May I suggest reading the Declaration of Independence again..today.

While the protests in Iran continue , many Americans continue to accept the outrageous laws and proposals that are being crammed down our throats.Wake up people before it's too late!
-
As many of you know the House passed the Cap and Trade bill. There were eight pubs who helped the dems pass this thing; Bono Mack (CA), Castle (DE), Kirk (IL), Lance (NJ), Lobiondo (NJ) , McHugh (NY), Reichart (WA) and Chris Smith (NJ). It will now go to the Senate where let's pray it doesn't see the light of day.

Good morning.Early results show Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad leading challenger Mir Hossein Mousavi. Both are claiming victory, however.North Korea is threatening military action if the U.S. establishes sanctions. On the homefront, the O says he will save more than $300 billion with his Medicare and Medicaid proposals. Hang on to your wallets, folks. The O says one thing and means the opposite.

Today we remember those who died serving our nation. Today I do the same, but , I remember my grandfather, also, who taught me what Memorial Day meant. When I was younger Gramp would take my brother and me to the cemeteries in Oswego County to help him place flags on the veteran’s graves. I will always remember his gentle voice giving us directions to certain gravesites. Every Memorial Day I remember YOU, Gramp! Thank you for your service.

Well folks, I thought this weekend's thread should open with memories of our childhood. If you have any uplifting childhood experiences please post them.Of course, political news should be posted, but how about we mix it in with fun stuff?I remember my brother and I would watch The Ed Sullivan Show. After seeing an acrobat team, we decided to try what they did..flip a person.I stood and put my hands between my legs while my brother was behind me. He was to grab my hands and pull me around to flip.I flipped all right...forehead right to the floor. LOL. I...

Another weekly thread. Another week of "torture" listening to the dems talk about torture or any other comments that come from their numb brains to their mouths.I think I'll go out to play.. today. Sounds okay?
