I agree. We have wasted untold amounts of lives & capital trying to civilize the uncivilized. It is rarely worth it.

However, that shouldn’t keep us from completely ostracizing, boycotting, & shunning such countries. We should have zero business & governmental relations with such countries.

Immigration from such countries should not be allowed. People unhappy with their government should stay there & work to change it. Freedom is always better & lasts longer when it is earned rather than given.

I ALMOST feel sorry for these black men & their families.

Sylacauga is a small town, 69% white & 29% white. Whites likely own most of the town & the businesses in it. It will be hard for these black families to remain there. Jobs will be lost. The perps will probably be kicked out of Auburn.

The victim apparently was on the football team. Football is a near religion in small AL towns. Revenge will be a topic of frequent conversation. If the perps stay out of prison their bodies will be found in the river real soon or maybe never.

Note that hunting is also a near religion for white men in AL. They all got their first shotgun at age 12 & know how to use them.

I know these things because I am from a small town in AL.

The US needs to get completely out of Afghanistan. There is nothing or no one there worth the effort. The country will never be democratized, not even civilized, by ANYONE.

Let the Russians have it. If they are foolish enough to try to tame Afghanistan, let them waste their lives & assets, again.

Furthermore, the US needs to drop the concept of limited war. We’ve tried it numerous times & essentially lost each time, in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, & Iraq.

  • HOW CAN IT BE SO HARD TO REPEAL A LAW NO ONE WANTED?

    Mister Da to Mr. K

    Answer:

Simply repealing Obamacare would be political disaster for the Pubs as Rats would then flood the airwaves with tales of people who lost their Obamacare & got sick and/or died for lack of it.

Replacing Obamacare is even more dangerous for the Pubs. Any new bill produced by Congress could easily be something no one wants, costs far more than expected, & is built on lies & wrong assumptions. The idea that anything is better than Obamacare is wishful thinking. Congress can easily make health insurance & care much worse.

Do I expect the elite 535 to produce anything that actually benefits the country & its people in a couple of months? A 3 legged donkey is more likely to win the Kentucky Derby in record time. I prefer they take as long as they need to produce a quality bill that actually serves the people rather than the insurance companies & lobbyists.

Note that I am NOT defending Obamacare, rather I have little faith that Ryan/McConnell/Trump & Co. can do any better. I believe the best solution for Health care is for the government to have as little influence as possible & let the free market resolve these problems as it always does.

The best way to stop Obama is to bug the hell out of him (its perfectly legal) & his associates. At the same time, investigate his past practices as President. These 2 sources should provide plenty of evidence of multiple crimes.

Go after the corrupt Clintons. They have much to tell if faced with jail.

Then, indict, convict, & jail a bunch of them. Start with low/mid level operatives who may squeal when faced with long jail sentences. This will lead to bigger targets - Jarrett, Abedin, Mills, Podesta, - the list is long & fruitful. The whole sorry bunch will end up shoving each other under the bus to avoid jail.

Only by putting the Left in a severely defensive posture will Trump stop these false attacks by the Left.

If Trump & Co. plays only defense, the author’s scenario will play out as envisioned.

Discouragingly related to this, Sessions may be too weak, too political, too much of a nice guy to do what needs to be done. Trump may need to replace him with someone with the temperament of Judge Roy Bean.

  • There is a Russian Scandal. But It's Hillary's Scandal.

Mister Da to Brad from Tennessee

I don’t believe Trump wants to go after the Clintons, which would start a political war with the Left he doesn’t want. But he is already in a war with them, therefore he should take the battle to them hugely.

A Clinton arrest would so outrage the Left that it would focus all their efforts to save Hillary. The MSM couldn’t resist the conflict, even though Clinton crime would finally be the center of attention. All other Leftist disruption of America & Trump would fall by the way side. Panic on the Left would cause them to commit serious unforced errors; leakers would expose themselves. Their efforts to defend the indefensible will destroy their political credibility & doom the Democratic Party.

Add to that the probable indictment of a host of Obama’s corruptocrats including The One himself.

“Draining the Swamp” is an amusing phrase, but the reality is that it means rooting out corruptocrats from both parties & government. Indictments are the surest method of doing that. Trump will not win this war by political means alone & he comes to the battle with the least political experience.

Trump has the power of the Presidency - he should use it to it fullest. Just as Obama LEGALLY spied on his enemies, so should Trump. Obama, Clinton, & Soros should top the list.

And if Jeff Sessions’ Justice Dept. can’t or wont convince a grand jury to indict Hillary Clinton, then Sessions/Comey & Co. need to resign.

A race war in SA would end up being genocide against the whites.

Blacks comprise 80% of the population, while whites are on 9%. Blacks control the government & military. Whites could be slaughtered if that’s what blacks want to do.

Probably the only weapon the whites have is their control of much of the economy. But I doubt Zuma & Co. much care if the economy collapses, Just as with Mugabe in Zimbabwe.

I’d like to hear Trump speak out against this obvious racism & outright theft.

It sure sounds like laws were broken. Tampering with an election? Using Federal resources for partisan political purposes? Illegal spying?

Trump’s Justice Dept. needs to go after Obama. Obama has likely broken numerous serious laws during his tenure, especially as relates to this past election.

I am damn tired of Democrats flagrantly violating our laws & getting a pass, while Republicans cannot even sneeze without being accused of lawlessness. Either Trump & Co. starts getting tough with these crooks, or he can look for another job in 2020. We were promised “Drain the Swamp”, so I expect to hear a giant sucking sound as Obama, Clinton, & all their cronies are called to account for their crimes.

A good first start would be a purge of ALL of Obama’s political appointees in government, NOW, not months or years from now, closely followed by a grand jury to investigate the Clintons & their foundation.

And if by some fluke of law, Obama, Clinton, & Co. cannot be held legally accountable for their nefarious activities, then I expect Trump to do those same things times 10 to reverse Obamunism & destroy the Democratic Party.

  • No Peak Oil For America Or The World

    Mister Da to D_Idaho

Two years ago I read a book on oil exploration. The first part was on the geology of oil.

The book’s contention was that oil is the result of death of bazillions of microscopic sea creatures over millions of years, whose bodies sink to the bottom of the seas, are covered by sand & silt, slowly sinking beneath the ocean floors, heated & compressed underground, until it forms oil. Oil is not the remains of animals or dinosaurs. A similar process with decaying plants produces coal.

If this is true, & it seems a good explanation for the existence of oil, then the process continues now & for as long as the planet exists. This also implies than any area of the planet covered by the sea for long periods of time, including land that is currently above sea level, likely contains oil. Given that most areas of the planet were under water at on time or another, oil is virtually everywhere.

Another interesting theory about oil is that, being lighter & less dense that the surrounding earth & rock, oil tends to find its way to the surface. La Brea Tar pits in CA & the oils sands of Alberta are examples of this. So, whether we drill for it or not, it will still come to the surface sooner or later.

  • The Dirty detail: Solar panels need water. Solar Energy developers downplay frequency of cleanings

    03/03/2017 7:27:40 AM PST · 16 of 16
    Mister Da to SeekAndFind

What little I’ve seen of the SW included white cars that were tan all over, including the windshield & side windows, with the washers/wipers turning the dust to mud.

And as anyone who has washed their car knows, simply squirting it with water doesn’t do the job. You must either pressure or cloth wash it, or both.

The 3% efficiency loss seems optimistic. The longer a solar array goes without washing, the dirtier the array becomes & efficiency drops continuously. Obviously, enough dirt on the array could stop power production completely.

What do you bet the cost of keeping the arrays clean was never considered in the cost of the project & expected returns?
