  • Karl Rove to GOP: Work with Obama

You ask who elected Rove? Himself did the honors. Same as other self elected people who are pushing to give this country away to any of the worlds population who can get a toe over our national borders. Karl Rove knows better than most that Obama will alter any agreement the Republicans make with him, be it on immigration, Obamacare, or anything else his employers might be interested in. Sounds like Rove is trying to give the Republicans cover to give Obama the 2 billion he first wanted by compromising on the 4 bill he now wants. Con game all around.

Obama told the country that he would use his pen and executive order blank check to bypass our elected Representatives and leaders if they did not do his bidding on the immigration amnesty situation. Honesty would have compelled Obama to admit the deed had already been done, Again, Obama was letting his followers know that they should continue on with plans already in place to transport all of these non citizens into America. I believe that this was known to the Republican leadership and that is why Eric Cantor and others were pushing amnesty. I want to know why the Republicans do not let the American public know exactly what they know about what is going on with the law breaking that the Obama regime is engaged in. We have a dictator flooding our country with a targeted group of non citizens for political purposes of vote buying as well as continued dismantling our Republican form of govt.

Our Senate and House members seem to have no way of stopping the treason and flouting of the law. Obama has no problem finding ways to do what he wants. Our elected representative of congress have become emasculated. They are an embarrassment and disgrace to those who elected them .

My response to the alchohlic poster would be a close copy of yours, given the various people I have encountered over the years who wasted my time and good intentions to help. It is always a dicey situation. There are those who use their self inflicted addictions to continue a way of life which keeps them using their permanent excuse for irresponsible behavior, and those who stumble into addictions for one or another reason, grief probably dominant. It is very frustrating to watch self destruction whatever the situation.

I have known two individuals who changed their lives almost over night by turning to God and spiritual sources for help. It was not just the alcohol at fault, but a general perversion of enjoying the feeling of being injured and wanting sympathy. For a host of reasons. Other alcoholics died earlier or lived their last years in rotten health and still looking for sympathy from the few people who any longer cared.

There are many good posts offering help for the Canadian poster and I sincerely hope she makes a real effort to consider all of them. People do care about another persons misery. I also hope that she is honest about the part she seems to blame on a husband who appears to be royally fed up with the hell she is putting him through and the better life the whole family is foregoing because of her addiction to personal escape from responsibility.

It is not uncharitable to have a non sympathetic response to addictive behavior. Many of us have been there and done that. We too have to separate ourselves from those who would make our lives as messy as theirs. Prayers yes. That is it for me.

I am reminded of the dethroning of that Romanian self crowned ruler on a daily basis. I wonder at what point Obama will go too far for even the most border line free born American citizen. The Washington DC malls would not hold all of the corrupt Americans who have attached themselves to this anti American administration who is going full speed ahead on destroying the very independence and freedom that has given them the power to betray their God given heritage. The Romanians finally got the message. Arrogant rulers never do until it is too late to save themselves.

Perhaps the Republican House is as unaware of what is happening re the latest stunt of the Obama administration flouting the laws which require guarding the US boarder. Obama himself is unaware of any major law breaking by govt agencies until he reads or hears about it from the MSM. Republicans need to follow the Obama information source and get caught up.

The Republican push for amnesty is an obvious collaboration with the socialist democrats for God knows what reason this time around. Profits or votes or blackmail of officials on both sides of the isle. Nothing of this magnitude can happen without huge coordination both from the countries involved and our own US govt.

Return the illegals to their homeland. Regardless of age. If young ones need parents, send their parents with them.

All of the homosexual variants, trans gender, gay lesbian, etc. are promoted by Obama and his administration so often that I see it as an obsession on his part in particular and the rest of the socialist democrats in general. The pushing is beyond political usefulness at this point as they already have locked in the votes of the homosexuals.

With Obama, homosexual life is an ever present reality which touches him to the core. It is personal.

I fully expect that when the occasion affords Obama the opportunity to either sponsor or perform a gay marriage in the White House, he will do so. It would certainly not surprise me if such a same sex marriage has already taken place and remains another unreported event by the USA socialist press. Obama is so involved with the issue that he will continue to try and validate his promotion of everything that relates to the homosexual life.

She married a quite wealthy guy who told my son he could afford her. She got what she wanted and he got the trophy wife he wanted. Three children and 15 yrs later and they divorced last year after a turbulent marriage. Our families are in touch, hence the details. He is now at least half as rich as when they both got what each desired and both are good parents but he is bitter, for no good reason IMO, in that he knew from the beginning he would have to share and indulge her and neither of them changed over time. He had major shortcomings she had to contend with as well. He had not faced the reality of sharing his money and grew less cavalier as time moved on. He is perceived by her to be stingy and that is because he very early on attached strings and she exceeded every limit he thought reasonable, money wise. Neither is at all poor but she is happy and he is not. Live and learn.

The opposite of the advice I gave my son, many years ago. I advised him to marry a girl he was ambivalent about because of her excessive spending and expectations that he would provide the means for her to live the life style she had accustomed herself to.
Thank God that he did not heed my consul, which wasn't really more than a practical solution on my part that weighed the pros and cons and favored the girl. Much later he married the perfect mate for him and I think of that particular piece of advice I gave him as a reminder of possible parental fallibility. Hits and misses but always trying.

Sultan Knish has an excellent article this AM which addresses the woes of the current ruling class of this country. Their trials and tribulations are enough to render Obama in particular to a condition of enhanced incompetence, flatfooted reaction to serious situations, and overall appearance of being what he is. A seriously unqualified and inept ruler of the country which twice elected him and his accompanying rabble of government sycophants. Poor guy.

Indeed, Mexico, as you say, should be one of the jewels of the civilized world instead of the abusive socialist govt whose citizens are invading the United States. The proponents of amnesty say we should accept this invasion because the Mexicans must escape their untenable situation of poverty and corruption and lack of opportunity to improve their standard of living.
I keep thinking that I must be missing something basic in my understanding of the situation as it seems to me the answer to both sides is for the US to invade Mexico, straighten out their socialist govt and help Mexico to create their own USA equivalent.

The US has gone around the world to help abused inhabitants of communist, socialist, freedom crushing governments. We have a situation on our own borders whose people risk life and limb, as did the Cubans under communist Castro, to gain the advantages of capitalist America. Their corruption runs without severe measures by our govt to secure our borders which enables further corruption of our own people.

Worse yet is the tendency for those escapees from Mexico, and other countries as well, to show their appreciation for the blessings of being on American soil by voting for the politicians who are bent on installing a Mexican type govt on this country.

The whole of Obama's self is bent on destroying our US Republic and installing a communist, or derivative thereof, globalist govt. I think that the Obama black half is costing the black citizens of America far more than the whites may be losing.

As far as Hillary being another first for the democrats and whose female gender alone will therefore trump any GOP presidential candidate, I think that depends wholly on whom the Republicans run in the general election.

I believe that non democrats should select a candidate who is first pro American, intelligent and experienced as far as is possible for the office of US President, and has a background of toughness and commitment to the job at hand.
Ted Cruz is my current choice for a President who meets this criteria and as a bonus, is of Latin American heritage. We jump ahead of the democrats who are currently focused on gender and race as ruling their political agendas and after Hillary, next is Latino, Asian etc. etc

I think that you are dead on with the black mail ability of the regime as regards Petraeus and Roberts. And the probability that the same method is used to control a huge number of other govt employees in high positions, and low for that matter. What really boils me is that Roberts and Petraeus, who were held in high regard and respected by many Americans, did not resign rather than submit to the blackmailers. I think that members of congress should retire, resign, or face the music if they are conditioning their voting on their personal situations. Of course I realize that we would end up with a skeletal work force in DC but that would be a plus to replace the feather bedding that is currently swelling the tax payer funded govt payroll.

Many cats and dogs and turtles etc and often all at the same time until children moved and began, very slowly, to house their pets instead of dropping them off at our reliable shelter. Room and board for pets and not a one was pure bred. Given my druthers, a Yorkie would have been my first choice. Retirement came and only one little dog left and when she died we were pet-less. About two months later a beautiful sable collie began visiting and after tracking her owners and returning her several times they asked if we wanted to keep her and by then we were hooked and things were back to normal. Bought our first van to accommodate her for traveling etc. She was five years old so still energetic and playful to a point. A good match for our life style. Beautiful dog, loving and companionable and easy to please. She was quite expressive and stubborn on occasion. Very happy dog. She did not care for competition and was offish with other dogs. Also she thought everybody naturally loved her and wanted to pet her. I understand that she was pretty typical of the Collie breed. One drawback is the need to groom that long hair either yourself or have it done on a regular basis. Same for bath. We found a boarding kennel in Okla that had an excellent facility for exercise and care which is not always available for large dogs.

You just never know what the Lord will deliver to your doorstep—figuretively speaking or direct. It will be just what you will appreciate and love.

A barrel of apples can indeed be spoiled by one rotten apple. Keep Ms. rebellious out of the family home and allow the younger siblings to have a chance to live normally. And the parents can save themselves more grief by not harboring any expectations that this nightmare will end anytime soon. You are correct about the reluctance to prescribe morphine for cancer patients at least 25 yrs ago when my mother was dying of cancer. I could not get the hospital to release her morphine prescription for me to take home for her. If she had been left in the hospital to die they would have administered it but the fear apparently was that those treating her at home might be users or dealers. Nothing is simple with medical care either in or out of the hospital so all of us need to be constantly aware of changes and regulations ahead of our needs.
And morphine does help in obliterating pain. Maybe Obamacare will just turn seniors into druggies and zombies with an overdose when their death panel designated time is up. Seniors who voted for and support Obamacare are signing their own death warrants. Just so they know and are ready to go.

I am curious as to why you revisit the JBS of some 50 years ago. Fact is, sandwiched between then and now, the Birch Society members were then, as now, concerned with the inroads the Communist party was making in the US. To date the communists have taken control of the democrat party, installed a man as President whose resume has been sealed from review by the ordinary citizen of this Republic, who was raised in foreign countries, and likely born there as well, and who is ruling this country rather than governing. Just as the Birch Society has warned about throughout its existence. I responded to your post because I appreciate that the JBS continues the fight against the destruction of this Republic and also am hoping that the topic would remind readers who are unacquainted with the John Birch Society that there is a an establishment where they can obtain information relative to the current disintegration of this Republic. Who has brought the current free reign, non stop lying and lawless administration to governance of the last God fearing, freedom loving country this world has known? The John Birch Society which for over half a century has been sounding the warning of the communist menace, or those who have postured as patriotic Americans and facilitated its advance?

It does seem that I am a tad out of step with the conservative movement that you apparently subscribe to. I am a practical conservative, i.e. a thinker and a doer. Practical application of conservativism to the situation at hand. I think that while all of the learned conservative discoursers, who over the years of the existence of the JBS have talked, and talked, and talked, and theorized about communism and it's derivatives, the JBS has worked to educate and inform the public of the actual inner workings of the communist party and the influence it has over governments and the US govt in particular.

Your pundits are still talking and the communists are continuing apace with their expanding grasp to control the lives of US citizens from birth to adios via death panels,

As for the legal references you cite to disprove the validity of the JBS existence, our whole country has been put in jeopardy by the interpretation of our laws and the general public has learned that legal and justice do not necessarily equate to each other. Also, irresponsible, irrational and extremist, are words thrown out to embellish credibility for one side or another but as used against the JBS are propaganda to sidetrack the effectiveness of the JBS message.

I have had Birch friends since the Goldwater days. Over the years, regardless of the ups and downs of both the political and ideological right and left, I would give the Birchers the top score, by far, of being correct in their projections regarding the march of communism and the various methods being used to advance it's goal. Viewing the current lawless administration now governing the US, I certainly do credit the Birchers with generating active opposition to the socialist liberals and their various fellow travelers early on. The Birch Society shone a bright and piercing light on the exact nature of the communist route to destroying this Republic, and the disastrous consequences thereof to freedom loving Americans. We do not need to tear down one patriotic American group to promote another of equal intent. Having more than one energetic and functioning civilian army working toward the same goal is a plus and should be encouraged. The Tea Party and the John Birch Society members will find a way to work together. Or else not. Then who wins?

My family is thoroughly enjoying the DUCK call to the nation to take notice of a number of ongoing events, spiritual and political, which may well destroy this Godly Republic.
Politics and religion are interlaced and both are involved in the current outpouring of support for the Robertsons. Few of our family watch DD but all have and do support the show and the Robertson family's spiritual display of their beliefs.
Whatever financial gains by either the network or the Robertsons, the opportunity has been given to all Americans to loudly and openly express their rebellion against the imposition of the homosexual agenda on religious and secular institutions and businesses. Our individual voices may not reach many others but, like the man checking out in front of me at Walmart yesterday, buying two duck caps only, our money does count at the bottom line. I get that Free Republic is your vehicle for punishing the Mormon church for your personal grievance against situations in your life. Perhaps there should be a permanent thread for you and your co haters where you can all spend your time airing complaints and hatred of that church without dragging every poster who is not anti Mormon into your wretchedness.

I am really very disgusted and annoyed that I am getting spammed by you and your co haters and request that you remove my name from your posting list.

Your redo of my post was quite a lazy way to say you are anti Mormon. Bless your heart anyway. I can see you tried hard.

Apparently you would know more about that than I.

My acquaintance with Mormons has always been positive. My observation was not all inclusive of their other good qualities. Diligent and honest is a pretty darn good compliment for anybody who has an appreciation for those character traits.

Of course there are some persons to whom this is not important. To me it is.

Maybe others have already experienced this, but a word of advice to those who have not. Answering ANY of the anti Mormon posts is not productive unless you agree with their views. Your reply to that poster will be used to spam pages of anti Mormon material to your own posted page. It is obvious that a handful of anti Mormon posters have little to do besides troll for new opportunities to continue their personal vendetta against the Mormon religion and Mormon followers. I am not a Mormon but I respect their choice to worship the same God I do in their own way. Additionally, over the years we have met a number of Mormons in leadership positions who gained our respect for diligence and honesty.

Knish is one of my five must reads for the day. Always a good use of my time to read whatever Knish is talking about. We gave up on newspapers years ago and that reading time is now spread among good writers and blogs. Knish is one of the best.

President Obama flies the US flag at half mast for 10 days expecting Americans to participate in national mourning for the deceased Nelson Mandela. Obama shows the world how he himself is obviously in very deep mourning for his departed comrade. The lying never stops for this self absorbed, foolish person.

Me too. Time will tell. His background is outstanding as far as education and necessary job experience goes and now the political role is building on all that. I include Ted Cruz in my prayers because the pressures of leadership are many and varied and entail making good choices for the future of this country. God be with us all. We certainly need huge help from the Almighty.
