    My best friend left me a message requesting that call asap and ask her about the "Silent Parade" (her words). I called her back and was told the most amazing story especially here in Massachusetts. Her town in located in central Massachusetts was having a parade on Sunday.     I hope this is the right forum for this question. This is my first thread start: I was just reviewing the Census Form that came to our house and was appalled at the questions. I found a line, in fact the last line, on the form in a blue box that says: "Respondents are not required to respond to any information collection unless it displays a valid approval number from the Office of Management and Budget."     Help! Put on your economics hats out there. I'm trying to decide whether I should convert my variable rate home equity line to a fixed loan now that The Fed has raised the rates again. Is this just one more rate hike in a long line of future hikes; or is it a post-Katrina reaction? My equity line started at 3.5% and is now at 6.5%. I can lock into a fixed loan at 7.2%.
