My middle son is a (straight) professional actor in a major metropolitan area. He asked me to name my favorite movie fights/action pics of all time. I figured I'd put it to the FReeper community of military, martial arts, movie buffs and various masters of mayhem to help come up with the best of the best.

FYI - Here are statements from Jim about the future of FreeRepublic.com for those who missed them. They are quite serious. === "Well, I can say that there are definitely two things that will never happen. 1) Banner ads. 2) Oracle [a completely new database system.] And a third is a total replacement [of the current damaged system.] Don’t have the financial wherewithal." "To those who wish to leave because of it, see ya." "If FR dies, that’s that."=== [To: paulycy] Hey, you want us to get an all new system with all new software and add a few more...

Nancy Pelosi is hosting her "Victory Party" behind a curtain in Washington DC as this post is written. Fox News has coverage of the curtain. Nancy Pelosi has commented on the party at various times along the lines of "just because I've been rejected by the American people doesn't mean I'm not really good at what I do" and "I understand the American people better than they do themselves. Nothing can convince me otherwise." Nancy Pelosi hopes to lead the next Congress to an even worse defeat in 2012. She has the full support of the Republican Party. No Democrats...

Gretchen Carlson, just back from vacation, refused to give White House spokesman Robert Gibbs any cover in Gibbs' attempt to evade and avoid direct questions regarding 0bama's attempt to take political - not security - credit for the current "highly stable" situation in Iraq.

Giant Mecca clock seeks to call time on Greenwich For more than a century, a point on the top of a hill in south-east London has been recognised as the centre of world time and the official starting point of each new day. But now the supremacy of Greenwich Mean Time is being challenged by a gargantuan new clock being built in Mecca, by which the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims could soon be setting their watches. Due to start ticking on Thursday as the faithful begin fasting during the month of Ramadan, the timepiece sits atop the Royal Mecca Clock...
  • Bill O'Reilly Supports Gun Confiscation In Any Emergency

Bill 0'Reilly, interviewing the founder of Oath Keepers, questioned Oath Keeper's opposition to the govt confiscating guns - or even discussing the issue in public. B0R implied there was some violent, subversive agenda to even discussing the issue and stated plainly that any mayor - such as in New Orleans after Katrina - had a perfect right to confiscate guns because they had to maintain "control" or "anarchy" would result.
  • Sarah Defends Tea Party from Bill 0'Reilly Attack

Bill 0'Reilly just did the best job he could trying to tie the Tea Party movement to Birchers, "kooks in the mountains with bazookas refusing to obey the law" and a host of other undesirables. He didn't just mention this. He hammered on it over and over and over. Sarah Palin defended us in just the way we'd like to be defended IMO and I think Bill was surprised that she could shoot down his infuriating and untrue accusations. He seemed truly surprised at the end when she clearly won the day. Only anti-Tea Party types would say that Bill...

  • Photobucket deleting images? - Terms of use? (Vanity)

Has anyone else noticed photobucket.com deleting more and more photos for "terms of use" violations that don't seem appropriate? Has anybody had success in contacting photobucket and inquiring about or challenging an image deletion? Although I understand that photobucket.com is a private enterprise and is legally entitled to enforce terms of use violations it seems that they are using this "terms of use" excuse to delete merely politically inconvenient images in increasing numbers. The latest deletion was the blue-tinged actual output of the new airport security scan. Even though IANAL I know enough to know there is no way that...
