Someone died in North Carolina today ... I don't know exactly who, but the death has impacted my family, nevertheless. I do know that this death was the result of an automobile accident yesterday, but whether male or female, young or old, I do not know. And I don't know when the decision was made for this person to be an organ donor, or by whom ... I only know that of all the thousands on the waiting list for kidneys, someone in North Carolina was the perfect match for someone in my family, already months on dialysis ... waiting...

Knak had previously requested prayer for her beloved husband. He has liver cancer, and his kidneys have failed. She learned this morning that this failure is permanent and that he will be coming home to spend his last days with his family. She has asked for prayer that he will peacefully be ushered into the Presence of the Lord, and for wisdom in telling their 9-year-old son.

Those who stand Vigil have asked that a Prayer Thread for Terri Schiavo be started for any wishing to comfort and encourage Terri's family and friends and those who have labored on her behalf.
