I am soon to pull the trigger on getting a laptop. Which one, I do not know. But one thing that is slowing me down and is of great concern to me is transfering the bazillions of songs I have in my iTunes software to the new computer so I can use my iPod with that instead of the old desktop. What is a quick, simple, and easy method of doing this for someone that knows jack squat about computers?

PRESIDENT OBAMA TAKES ON RUSH LIMBAUGH IN NEW MEDIA WAR WASHINGTON -- President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration. "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package. One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts. "There are big things...

A few days ago there were reports that 30 cars had their tires slashed at an early voting site in Flordia. Apparently only Obama supporters cars were targeted. Also, at an Obama rally in Fayetteville NC, again 30 cars had their tires slashed. Unfortunately I have been unable to find any updated news on these incidents. Suspects talked to? Suspects caught? Zero follow up after initial reports. Anyone here have any updates? It seems odd that two places seperated by many miles both magically had 30 cars affected.

A local radio host who leans to the left but refuses to admit it had as part of his show today a request for callers to call in with republican talking points/soundbites that they always use. Cut & Run, Stay The Course, Maverick, Joe Six Pack, etc... were some of his examples. The left lives and breaths such things, and has been using the same ones for 30 years. Death Magnetic, the new Metallica album hitting stores next Friday, September 12th has been partially released by Metallica on their web site. 6 songs are available out of the 10. You can click here to listen to them. I highly recommend "All Nightmare Long", "Cyanide", and "My Apocalypse" of the 6 available to be the first you listen to. I however have heard the entire album. They held back some killers. Like the 1st track, "That Was Just Your Life". Killer and heavy. The days of St. Anger are long gone. So give a listen to those available, especially the...

Dems call on Edwards to address affair rumors RALEIGH -- Former Sen. John Edwards has a deadline to save his spot on the national stage. With just two weeks before their national convention, a number of Democrats are saying Edwards needs to publicly address anonymously sourced National Enquirer stories that have claimed he had an affair with a campaign worker and fathered her baby. Democrats gather in Denver on Aug. 25 and Edwards, as the 2004 vice presidential nominee and a presidential candidate who won delegates this year, ordinarily would be locked in as a speaker. Question for those who know. I drive around for work a good amount and am tired of using Mapquest and Google for directions. Especially since half the time they are not the best way to get somewhere, or even correct in how to get there. So I want an entry level GPS. Being that the "evil Bush" has destroyed the economy and I am only a pay check away from being homeless according to the libs, I don't want to spend a lot. So $150 to $200 is my range. Not a tremendous amount. But then I don't a fancy...

Vikings Go On Rampage At Lodge Presumedly seeking revenge against the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League for calling it quits in the middle of the season, several players with the Jamestown Vikings trashed the historic Vikings Lodge on the corner of Washington and West Fourth Street early Thursday, leaving most of the building in shambles. The ATO decided the Melbourne man was still officially working as a mortgage broker when he won the grand prize in July's No Limit Texas Hold 'Em World Championship in Las Vegas. This decision means his bonanza was classified as income derived from a hobby, not from business, saving the poker king from paying about $3.5 million in tax. The American tax office has already...

Bennett's Critics Prefer to Misunderstand Him Until we were so rudely interrupted by President Bush's latest Supreme Court pick, we were having an illuminating squabble over Bill Bennett. And since Bennett's remarks on his radio show have already morphed into something of an urban legend in many quarters, I think they're worth revisiting. A quick recap: Bennett got a call from a listener suggesting that Social Security was in financial straights because so many taxpayers had been aborted after Roe vs. Wade. The caller was making an ostensibly pro-life point. But Bennett, also a pro-lifer, objected. That's not the way...

Why Boortz and Linder must be purged Good afternoon, my dear comrades. We have a problem on our hands. It is a very big problem, indeed. A new book has been released that threatens the progress we have made in recent decades to transform the U.S. economy from a capitalist system into one more like the economy of our beloved former Soviet Union. In 1848, our father Karl Marx wrote that “a heavy progressive or graduated income tax” is essential to the sustenance of a communist society. If Boortz and Linder succeed in tearing out the American tax code and...

Redneck IQ Test I am sick and tired of hearing about how dumb people are in the South. I challenge any so-called smart Yankee to take this exam: 1. Calculate the smallest limb diameter on a persimmon tree that will support a 10 pound possum. 2. Which of these cars will rust out the quickest when placed on blocks in your front yard? (A) '65 Ford Fairlane (B) '69 Chevrolet Chevelle, or (C) '64 Pontiac GTO. 3. If your uncle builds a still, which operates at a capacity of 20 gallons of shine produced per hour, how many car radiators...

Abstinence speaker pushed religion in school, dad charges An irate father is demanding that Bozeman High School present students with a rebuttal to what he called "extremely biased religious dogma" delivered by an assembly speaker who warned teens against the dangers of drugs, drinking and premarital sex. Tom Wells, a Bozeman attorney and father of a ninth-grader, told the School Board on Monday night that he was appalled by the "thinly veiled ministry" and "misinformation" presented the week before by speaker Tina Marie Holewinski. Holewinski, 27, of Hollywood, Calif., a full-time speaker with an organization called True Lies, defended her...

RNC finds Bush-Reid tit-for-tat The Republican National Committee (RNC) has resurrected a bill Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) sponsored when he was in the House more than 20 years ago that would have kept members of Congress out of the Social Security program. RNC researchers contend that the 1983 bill belies Reid’s repeated claim that Social Security is the “most successful program in the history of the world.” The Republican salvo is in response to Democrats’ frequent use of a statement President Bush made in 1978 during his unsuccessful campaign for Congress that Social Security will “go bust in...
