  • Everyone Who Wants To Destroy ISIS Needs To Know One Hard Truth

“Nuclear weapons. Particularly the neutron bombs that we have built. Reassemble them and use them.”

Only China has a working, tested neutron bomb. Ours was never built, never tested, remaining purely theoretical. Doubtful if a bomb could be made now in the US, given the prevailing political climate - let alone used.

It is well know that the international media storm from using anything nuclear on a battlefield - or even being tested - would place so great demand O’s time, he would never get out on the golf course for the rest of his current term.

Not to worry, if the rumored ISIS cells in the US get a working bomb from the Iranians and use it here - thanks to our now non-existent southern boarder, O will be very upset to see one of his beloved golf courses made radioactive. In that case, you can expect very angry and harshly worded statements from Our Glorious Leader.

“My guess is the problem is the risk of getting nuclear material into space.”

That’s right! It is a risk the US cannot afford to take.

First of all, it would contravene numerous international treaties and agreements.

Second, the media outrage at such a risk would drive all the important issues off the air - like which sports star committed which crime. Who in his right mind would wish to sit through this sort of endless coverage?

Third, politicians of all stripes would be up in arms at the very possibility of polluting pristine space with radioactive debris. Can you imagine the horror our grand kids would have to face, if space were polluted with dangerous, carcinogenic, radioactive stuff?

Fourth, it would contravene the newly discovered American Law of Navel Gazing which says (in part), that anything not seen in a navel does not exist, cannot exist, and is downright impossible, and furthermore, dangerous.

All this space travel bunkum is best left to barbarians like the Russians and Chinese who have no moral authority, are firmly convinced that the Law of Navel Gazing is for idiots, unlike us Americans who have a firm grip on reality, the future, and What’s Worth Spending Our Hard Earned Dollars On.

“Some have said Noah’s flood was 100,000 years ago also.”

Very likely that one or many great floods occurred between 16,500 B.C. and 10,000 B.C. when the glacier cap melted (the end of the Ice Age); Noah’s flood could be anywhere in-between and sea levels rose 400-700 feet. When pools of water form on or under a glacier (especially when the glacier is 2-3 Km in height); release is usually sudden and catastrophic, when the ice dam holding the water back breaks.

Go ahead and occupy your lofty high moral ground, but when they come for you, there may not be any one left to defend you.

As I said you do not understand war, just moral arguments for and against. Which amounts to a hill of beans when someone is about to cut your head off.

You will get the same choices now offered Christians in Mosul, Iraq: convert, pay Jizya (tax amounting to everything you own), or get your head cut off (thereby vacating the high moral ground, but anointing it with your life’s blood). Of course, the female members of your family will be raped while you are forced to watch, then it will be your turn to be raped.

Like so many liberals, you will have stood on principle, feel good about yourself, but will perish none the less in a war you do not and apparently cannot understand.

In the end, you and others like you will have failed to recognize the nature of war, cause too many to die needlessly. Like our Hero, J. Kerry, screaming at the deaths of too many Muslims, while crippling those who would defeat them. This stupid idea that there is a high moral ground in war is what has caused us to lose so many men in Iraq and Afghanistan, while prolonging the war far beyond what was necessary. To one of your points: “I am absolutely convinced that if the Muslim world does not purge itself of these extremist elements from within.”

Islam cannot be reformed. This is a major Western misconception - thinking Islam is like some version of an Arabic Christianity. Any attempt to reform is heretical and the parties making the attempt oblige all other Muslims to kill them - thus spoke Muhammad.

You also seem to be overlooking the fact that the West fought two very brutal wars and yet somehow remained the West; moreover that somehow fighting a third brutal war will somehow change the West.

So-called “Kinder, gentler” wars fought by one party against a brutal enemy will always be lost.

I think you just fundamentally misunderstand the nature of both Islam and war - which, BTW, are synonymous within Islam.

After Japan surrendered, the Chinese had a similar moire thorough plan they intended to carry out - until they saw Hiroshima and Nagasaki - to which the comment was: You Americans do good work.

Civilized or not, the world is governed by the use of force. Wishing it was otherwise is all well and good but in the end just another fools’ errand.

In the religious war, now under way between the West and Islam, the end will only come after Mecca is wiped off the Earth, else the west surrenders - better Muslim than dead. There is no “in between” - however much one might wish it so - “in between” (shades of grey) typifies Western thinking; absolutism typifies Islamic thinking (the will of allah).

The entire population of Palestinians are the ones who elected Hamas to power, and are therefore equally complicit with those who lead the war against Israel. Islam only understands the absolute brutality of war and can only be deterred by its use. Islam can only be destroyed when the last Muslim is dead or when its greatest symbol is destroyed: Mecca/Medina.

One cannot fight a real war and some away with a clear conscience - there are always things to regret. However, one can pretend to fight with limited ROIs, nice speeches, humanitarian pauses, truce talks, calling battles wars (Iraq, Afghanistan) and so forth, which is what the West is doing now. All this does, in the end, is postpone the inevitable, increase the number of deaths, and prolong the war. For example, WWI was very brutal, but lasted only four years; WWII was extremely brutal, but lasted only from 1939-1945 or six years. This one began in 1979 with Iran’s declaration of war against the US - or 35 years with countless millions dead before the West actually joins forces against Islam.

In the end there can be either Islam and Muslims, or the West - not both. Thus an example must be made - the more brutal the better. The longer it takes for this to sink in, the more brutal and example will be needed, and the longer it takes, the more people will perish.

WWI saw deaths in the low 10s of millions; WWII saw deaths in the 100 millions - what do you suppose this war’s death count will be, unless the West comes to its senses and acts?

Using St. Helens 1980 VEI 5 as a reference point, we see that recent previous big eruptions (over VEI 5) average every 34 years and are:

    Tambora 1815 VEI 7, Krakatoa 1883 VEI 6, Santa María 1902 VEI 6, Novarupta 1912 VEI 6, Mt. Mt. Pinatubo 1991 VEi 6.

Each step in the VEI is 10 times. A VEi of 6 is 10 times larger than a 5. A VEi of 7 is 100 times larger than a 5. We are not due for a VEI over 5 for some years yet - around 2025.

When Rainer blows it will have a VEI much bigger than St Helens, and certainly do far more damage, and kill more people. It was once predicted that such an eruption would remove the mountain in its entirety since Rainier is so high. That would also have the effect of removing Olympia, Tacoma, and Seattle in their entirety, as well as all the local LIVs and lefties glued to their tablets and TVs to watch the big event.

To that end, the US is sending $47 mil to Hamas for “humanitarian aid”.

There are many suicidal Israelis who still want to give peace a chance, thus, the assumption.

The assumption does not take into account the reality on the ground where Hamas is suffering one defeat after another as they fall back to the central command city under Gaza city.

A pause or ceasefire would be just to Hamas’ liking when things get too hot. Iran will then rebuild the entire tunnel infrastructure, a new supply of rockets, and possibility a defense against the Merkava 4’s Windbreaker missile defense systems.

Then Hamas, and if Hezbollah is not still tied up in Syria, launch a two pronged attack. Maybe Iran will be able then to step in with a nuke for Tel Aviv.

Hamas must be totally defeated and Gaza occupied by Israeli mil to give peace a chance.

“And the irony is that what really makes it most difficult to “picture tomorrow” is that on a personal level, we have already solved almost every problem that faced the human race up until the last 50-100 years. That’s a nice problem to have, isn’t it?”

If you say so, then it must be.

Obviously, tomorrow will bring no new problems that will impact the human race and life on Earth. So why work on such things now, when we can safely and comfortably wait until the problem is apparent? It would take just a moment to figure out what to do about an 50 mile-wide asteroid coming from behind the sun on a collision course the Earth! Child’s play! Or Earth getting blasted by multiple humongous solar flares which will fry every electronic gadget on Earth or in orbit - too easy. We could go on here, but what’s the point, since we’ve got it covered?

Sheesh - let tomorrow take care of itself. We can do better staring at our personal and collective navels while using our tax dollars to feed the homeless, house and care for every person who decides to cross the Mexican border, since we have solved every problem facing the human race already.

Moreover, when you look closely at all the stuff that came out of the Apollo program, they were just so obvious anyway, and people would have come up with the same solutions without spending all those precious tax dollars to bring back worthless hunks of Lunar rock.

So yes, you are right - as usual - there is absolutely no need to explore the solar system using humans - we are too fragile and require too many resources. We can better use people with vision to look into the important things we may encounter while doing important social work or working in other important mundane fields.

Inspiration, hope - who needs them? We are a mature society now and no longer need to explore or pioneer anything - especially not using humans in space - some of them might die! The terrible headlines, the endless talking heads, the embarrassment, the humiliation, the distraction from the really important events of the day - can you image?

As I recall: if Mount Rainier (14,400 feet) were to blow, the entire mountain would simply be gone (just a hole in the ground) - not like St Helens which only blew off part of the top. Seattle and Tacoma would just ‘disappear’ under the debris and mud flows.

Few would listen, as they would need to evacuate Tacoma, Olympia, Seattle, and many other small cities and towns.

As of some years ago, they were only semi-prepared to deal with the historic mud flow patterns from previous eruptions, No one was even contemplating the effect of the amount of pressure needed to push magma up under the mass of Mount Rainier.

Hard to predict the VEI (Volcanic Explosivity Index) of a Mount Rainier eruption, but in would certainly be one or two orders of magnitude greater than Helens VEI of 5. Think a 1991 Pinatubo (VEI 6 - 10X St Helens) or a 1815 Tambora (VEI 7 - 100X St Helens) in a heavily populated area.

    “mostly ash”

Don’t be so dismissive of volcanic ash in quantity. For instance, how does nearly 5 feet of Stone ash (per square foot) falling in your area compare in weight to 5 feet of Paper ash as in lies on your roof - before it rains?

Also any Yellowstone eruption could go on for weeks or months ... especially now that the magma chamber is twice as large as previously thought.

Mt. St. Helens was a five on the Volcanic Explosive Index, while Yellowstone would be a 10 or 1000 times larger, lasting a minimum of days to months of eruption, compared to St Helens minutes.

It really will not mater how far away one is, most will die one way or another (since it would be a world-wide disaster) ... from immediate effects, starvation, disease, lack of any civil structure, and so on. Guns will be mostly useless for hunting as there will be little game to hunt.

Be sure to stock your southern bunker with seveal years of water, food, and air for you and yours, as well as a jack hammer (with fuel and some where to vent the exhaust fumes) to break through the some feet of ash turned to concrete and a power supply for light, and so forth.

Pray to G_D, He holds it off for another 1000 years or more - but then He’s held it off for longer than average now ... in other words, an eruption is over due ...
