And another establishment person who didn’t support him or agree with his agenda. This is not fair to all the pro-Trump supporters out there. We don’t want establishment picks.

How long before the press writes up stories about tensions and leaks?

I read this article earlier and was considering posting it for the same reasons you did. Yes, it seems his staff is trying to undermine him and is not being honest. They are scheming to find a way to keep the deal. This goes back to a point I make over and over and FR. It’s one made by Bannon and Gorka as they left. Trump has people on his staff who fundamentally don’t agree with what he ran on and who are advocating for a different agenda, thus leaving Trump to battle his own staff when they should be a team. Trump ran as anti-establishment, and Tillerson (recommended by Jeb!, Condi, and Bob Gates), McMaster (purged the NSC of Trump supporters), and Kelly (has restricted Trump’s news and access and overseen a loss of pro-Trump staff) are the establishment and would fit in in a Jeb! White House (so would Mattis if we’re being honest, although I like him). That’s why you have Corker attacking Trump over the rumors of Tillerson leaving and saying that these people are “containing” Trump and keeping him “middle of the road.” Corker chairs the Senate Foreign Relations committee. He advocates an establishment foreign policy, and Trump’s staff are his vehicle to get it, but Trump didn’t run as establishment, he didn’t win as establishment, so of course he doesn’t want to govern that way.

The worst part is his staff continues to leak as these articles always claim to have multiple sources, sometimes ones that are backed up by people like Mike Cernovich and Roger Stone. People in these meetings are leaking, and people leaking to establishment papers are doing it to hurt Trump. I think some want to portray him as crazy (see article title) to try to get the 25th Amendment and get Pence. With some staff not loyal to Trump, it is a concern - one raised by Bannon (per anonymous sources to Vanity Fair).

Gorka still maintains a staff cleaning before Christmas. Let’s hope.

Kelly’s pick for Homeland Security was praised by Mitch, and Mitch threw shade at Trump at the same time. Trump is putting people in place who are not loyal to him, may not even like him, and probably don’t support his agenda. This not only makes his job harder, it leads to more leaks and a Cabinet that theoretically COULD move against him if the swamp desired.

The liberals are melting down saying we are losing our leadership on the world stage. We didn’t lose it from 1987-2003, and we won’t now. Not only are they anti-Israel, but they also promote abortion, sex change for kids, etc.

New York, October 31, 2003 ( - A UNESCO (UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) document, entitled “Unwanted Pregnancy and Unsafe Abortion,” calls for sweeping government reform to make abortion available to all women and adolescent girls without restriction, going as far as to suggest that governments should subsidize abortions and offer “redress” to women who have been “denied” access to abortions “that should be made available to them.”  The document, which was produced in 2002 by UNESCO’s Thailand-based Regional Clearing House on Population Education and Communication (RECHPEC), has recently come to light after it was referenced in the UN Population Fund’s State of the World Population 2003 report, which was released this month.  The UNESCO document explicitly recommends that “Governments should make abortion legal, safe, and affordable.” UNESCO appears particularly concerned about adolescents’ access to abortion, recommending that “Legislatures should remove legal restrictions to access of abortion and family planning services to adolescents” and that “Wherever the law allows, Governments should guarantee the privacy of those seeking abortion services, especially adolescent women.” UNESCO also recommends that, “Where abortion is allowed, the legal system should provide means of redress for those denied access to the services that should be made available to them,” without explaining what type of redress it has in mind.  UNESCO takes aim at parental consent laws, stating that, “It is common, for instance, to require adolescents to obtain parental consent for abortion services…This alone can dissuade an adolescent from seeking a proper medical procedure and leave them to seek alternative, illegal and unsafe abortions elsewhere.”

In addition, the Trump administration’s proposed budget for the next fiscal year contains no provision for the possibility that UNESCO funding restrictions might be lifted.

Remember when Trump complained about the amount of money we give to the UN and how it's used? It looks like we won't be giving any money to UNESCO anytime soon.

Exactly. That’s why the one thing I gripe about here is the staff decisions. There are people on his staff who would fit in better in a Jeb! administration and who think the key to Trump’s success is to moderate him. No, he was elected on a winning platform because he wasn’t establishment. When his staff is leaking, contradicting him publicly, or are trying to push him away from what he ran on, that’s not draining the swamp. We’ve seen so many pro-Trump people forced out and looking in, and I think it would be easier to drain the swamp without some of the swamp in the White House.

I said it at the time, but Trump made a mistake in telling Marco to run. Marco was going to leave he Senate. One of the guys running for his seat was very pro-Trump - Carlos Beruff. Unfortunately, Marco took Trump’s advice, ran, and stabbed him in the back. Now we are stuck with Marco for 6 years. Oh well. All we can do is defeat Flake. Vote for Kelli Ward.

  • Bob Corker Says Trump’s Recklessness Threatens ‘World War III’

Since the moderator removed my comment because I had a little of the article in it. I removed that part. The main substance of my comment:

Notice that he derives his “almost cathartic satisfaction” by trashing the President of his own party to the New York Times.  Now, I realize Trump tweeted negatively about him, but that was only after Corker attacked him and said that Tillerson, Mattis, and Kelly were “keeping the world from chaos.”   It’s not the first time he attacked him either.  This is really a vicious attack on the President of your own party, and it is one that I am certain Trump would find insulting.  How could one not?

Bob Corker is a moderate, traditional Republican.  He really doesn’t have a large base of support, meaning he’s not popular with the Trump base but rather the establishment.  He saw what happened to Luther Strange and how Jeff Flake is faring in the polls.  He saw that association with McConnell is toxic, and decided not run again because he was likely to be primaried as the Trump base didn’t see him as an ally.

The key thing to keep in mind here is that he is close to Rex Tillerson.  Rex Tillerson, who the media reports doesn’t get along with Trump (Trump denies this), was someone that I was apprehensive about for Secretary of State because he was recommended by Condi Rice and Bob Gates.  These are two very establishment people whose neocon foreign policies were not the agenda Trump ran on.  Trump should have chosen someone who was there in the trenches with him for Secretary of State such as Rudy Giuliani.  Rex Tillerson was also praised by Jeb!.  The reports that Trump and Tillerson have differences over Tillerson being more establishment in his thinking is not surprising.  Corker is trying to protect his friend Tillerson.

Corker says “of course they understand the volatility that we’re dealing with and the tremendous amount of work that it takes by people around him to keep in the middle of the road.”   Keep him “middle of the road.”  He spoke earlier of “containing” him.  That’s the bottom line.  That’s why he says that Tillerson, Mattis, and Kelly are “keeping the world from chaos.”  Of course they are in his mind.  He wants Trump to have a “middle of the road”, establishment foreign policy.  Corker is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and mentioned disagreeing with Trump on foreign policy even during the campaign.  This is why I can absolutely believe Trump’s accusation that Corker wanted to be secretary of state so he could use it to push his views and agenda forward.  He’s not, so he’s getting his views/agenda done through Tillerson.

Tillerson, Mattis, and Kelly tend to be conventional in their thinking.  We know the reports on Kelly say he has blocked Trump from getting conservative news, prominent supporters have left on his watch such as Bannon, Gorka, and Schiller, and that certain people who want to visit say he won’t allow them to.  Toss McMaster in as well who as purged the NSC of the pro-Trump people.  Tucker Carlson noted that with people like Bannon and Gorka gone, a majority of the people left in the White House would fit in in a Jeb! Administration.  Corker could be VP in a Jeb! Administration.  The bottom line is that Trump has people in his Administration who ultimately differ from what he ran on in that they take more traditional neocon positions - which is where Corker is.  Trump is still trying to get his anti-establishment, #MAGA foreign policy agenda through, and Corker sees these guys as directing him towards “middle of the road” positions.  The thought that Trump is having some friction with Tillerson is making him nervous because he is close to Tillerson and wants his influence.

The media keeps calling Kelly, Mattis, and Tillerson the “adults in the room.”  Corker knows this interview in The NYT will only help gain support for these three and help secure their jobs.  Recall that some Democrats want to impeach Trump by using the 25th Amendment which says that he is unfit for office.  Corker alluded to that in August.  He then alludes to it again today.  Corker says that these three are necessary to keep the country safe.

He said in August, after Trump’s response to Charlottesville, Va. that Trump “has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful.”

He said on Sunday that Mattis, Tillerson, and Kelly are “the good guys”, and “As long as there are people like that around him who are able to talk him down when he gets spun up, you know, calm him down and continue to work with him before a decision gets made, I think we’ll be fine,” he said.

See what he is doing here?  He alluding to the fact that Trump is not fit, must be “contained”, and could start World War III, BUT just keep these three guys and things will be fine.  They will handle it.  Trump has already had a high staff turnover.  I feel as though this is a threat to Trump if tries to get rid of one or more of these three.  He’s trying to ensure support for the three of them so the backlash is strong if one or more is fired.

Never watched, but to be expected. Trump supporters aren’t going to be told they are terrible and then watch. They are going political, so they will have to hope they get enough liberals.

The truth is, most people don’t want their entertainment politicized. People want an escape from the day to day life and politics, but Hollywood uses entertainment to advance agendas.
