    Two Las Vegas police officers and one civilian were shot and killed Sunday when a gun-toting duo went on a killing spree before shooting one another dead in an apparent suicide pact, authorities say. Las Vegas police spokesman Larry Hadfield told The Associated Press that the shooting spree began around 11:30 a.m. Sunday when a man and woman walked into CiCi's Pizza restaurant on North Nellis Boulevard and ambushed two officers who were eating lunch.

Bowe Bergdahl’s platoon in Afghanistan said Sunday the former Taliban prisoner deserted his post before being captured and fired back against Obama administration arguments that only Bergdahl knows exactly what happened. “After Bowe Bergdahl purposely and willfully walked away, every single mission was titled toward finding him,” platoon medic Joshua Cornelison told “Fox News Sunday.” “We were there. This isn’t some second- or third-hand account.”

That’s the message that was conveyed to a group of soldiers at Camp Shelby by an equal opportunity officer from the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, according to a soldier who attended a recent briefing. “It’s unbelievable that the Army would ban ‘Christmas’ like it’s a bad word,” said Michael Berry, an attorney with the Liberty Institute, a legal firm representing the unidentified soldier.
