The Star-Spangled Banner will once again wave at the University of California, Irvine, after student government leaders nixed a bid to ban the American flag from a campus lobby. Members of the executive cabinet of the Associated Students of UC Irvine met Saturday in an emergency session to reverse the flag ban.

The "riots" occurring tonight are minimal and nothing compared to what was seen this past summer in Ferguson. Most reporting done tonight has been laughable and inflammatory, IMO.

I went outside tonight around 08:15 PM PDT And looked to the North/Northeast and noticed a bright orange object coming in from that direction to the SW and curving slightly towards South. It was moving pretty fast and didn't have a tail and I didn't think much of it as I see a lot of aircraft in this area heading towards the local airstrip in Carlsbad or further south towards San Diego. It did not have a tail/trail, and was not on a path typical of shooting star nor orbital debris. After about 30 seconds of my noticing it the...

A North Carolina diner that offered a 15 percent for those who prayed before their meal has stopped issuing the price cut due to a lawsuit threat. Mary’s Gourmet Diner has been quietly offering the 15 percent “praying in public” discount for four years and said that it was given to people from all religions.

Two Las Vegas police officers and one civilian were shot and killed Sunday when a gun-toting duo went on a killing spree before shooting one another dead in an apparent suicide pact, authorities say. Las Vegas police spokesman Larry Hadfield told The Associated Press that the shooting spree began around 11:30 a.m. Sunday when a man and woman walked into CiCi's Pizza restaurant on North Nellis Boulevard and ambushed two officers who were eating lunch.

A member of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s platoon in Afghanistan said Sunday the former Taliban prisoner deserted his post before being captured and fired back against Obama administration arguments that only Bergdahl knows exactly what happened. “After Bowe Bergdahl purposely and willfully walked away, every single mission was titled toward finding him,” platoon medic Joshua Cornelison told “Fox News Sunday.” “We were there. This isn’t some second- or third-hand account.”

Don’t say Christmas. That’s the message that was conveyed to a group of soldiers at Camp Shelby by an equal opportunity officer from the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, according to a soldier who attended a recent briefing. “It’s unbelievable that the Army would ban ‘Christmas’ like it’s a bad word,” said Michael Berry, an attorney with the Liberty Institute, a legal firm representing the unidentified soldier. Two weeks ago, a routine meeting was held at the Mississippi base with various leaders of the 158th Infantry Brigade. During the meeting, they discussed an upcoming Christmas football tournament. The equal opportunity...
