QUESTION: If I am not connected to a Neilson rating box (or whatever they use now) does what I watch or not watch on cable actually get reflected anywhere? Not saying it doesn’t, I’d just like to know...
I have at home for the last 5 years and at work the last year. Works great for me, no problems, takes a lot less space. Plus I can toss it in my gun safe when ever I’m out, hopefully making it less likely to get stolen.
...the Jesus of Christianity is different than the Jesus of Mormonism despite the marketing being done that calls the Book of Mormon (BoM) Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The truth is Mormonism teaches a different God, a different Jesus, and a different Christianity.
That the God and Jesus of Christianity are not the same as the God and Jesus of Mormonism is not merely my opinion but comes from prominent Mormons and is borne out upon examination.
At the 147th General Conference, General Authority Bernard Brockbank (a Mormon) stated:
"the Christ followed by the Mormons is not the Christ followed by traditional Christianity. It is true that many of the Christian Churches worship a different Jesus Christ than is worshiped by the Mormons The Ensign, May, 1977 pg.26.
In 1998 LDS President Hinckley spoke of claims outside the LDS church that Mormons do not believe in the historical Christ and whether or not he regarded the Jesus of Christianity as the same Jesus of Mormonism:
No, I dont. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times*. He, together with his Father, appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the year 1820 and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more about the nature of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages. Church News, June 20, 1998. * the term "Dispensation of the Fullness of Times" is used by the Mormon Church to denote "the last days" that Joseph Smith was said to have ushered in.
“Donald Trump, when I first saw that he was getting in, I thought, well, this has got to be a joke,” said Graham. “But the more you listen to him, the more you say to yourself, you know, maybe this guy's right.”
“So, he might be your candidate of choice?” Amanpour asked.
“Sure, yes,” Graham responded.
Key word “might”. This is not an endorsement. Franklin Graham is just saying he'd consider Trump. He was asked a question and answered it. He is not running around telling people Trump is da man for him. Rush had Trump on his show twice in the last month (how many times has Rush had Palin on?). Besides talking up Trump how many Trump friendly articles has Rush had on his website in the last month?
Graham also said he might support Palin, just depends who is running. Graham also said he did not think she really wanted to run.
Heck, initially I could “see myself voting for Trump” which is not an endorsement nor does mean I would. It just means given the current choices I'd have to at least consider DT.
DT is saying all the right things right now but as more comes out about him that will change. Like how all his current positions are opposite what the were in the late1990s. I read one article suggesting DT is really supporting BO by running. It suggests that he will try to mess up the primary and if that doesn't work run as an Independent and like Perot through the election to BO.
Of those who have indicated strongly they are running there is not much when you consider the big names like Gingrich, Romney and some others.
Yesterday I heard Dupree make a statement (I wish I could remember what it was) that surprised me and Boortz saying basically “wait you have that backwards” and Dupree saying pretty much “No I don’t, conservatives have it wrong”. The whole exchange surprised me.
I’m wondering if maybe they can’t see white very well (at least birds). The reason I say that is last spring I noticed that various types of birds kept swooping down in from of my white Honda Accord. I killed about six that way and could have hit more if I had tried in the least bit. Speed didn’t seem to be a factor because the birds were just as bad at swooping in front of me in my subdivision at 20 MPH as there were on faster roads.
It would appear from his comments he “may” be a cultural Christian but I am not convinced he is a Biblical Christian. He never mentions Jesus and Jesus’ atoning sacrifice on the cross and the need to repent and turn from sin. BO is probably like my Unitarian-Universalist brother who thinks Jesus was a great teacher and social worker and nothing more. BO has also said in the past something to the effect of “Christianity is true for me but I can't speak for someone else.” Well Barry, the Gospel is true for everyone, whether they accept and believe in Jesus and the Gospel or not. Personally I think BO is either an agnostic or just a plain opportunist depending on the audience.
The N word is used 17 times. Yet, 36 years after the films debut the N word is bleeped whenever its broadcast on television.
I remember I saw the movie on a local independent TV station in St. Louis in the late '80s. The "N" word was not bleeped out but the fart sounds were absent when the guys were sitting around the camp fire eating beans. It just had the guys looking at each other with no sounds. They ruined my favorite scene!
The funny thing about this episode...why would a Harvard-player allow themselves to come to the Huntsville University?
Why not? We have the HQs for NASAS and Army Aviation as well as the the Missile Dense Agency.
Combined with all the supporting research and development companies they say we have the highest percentage of engineers in the country and more PHDs per capita than any city in the country. Forbes Magzine classifies it against all other cities in the United states as follows:
* The countrys Best Place to Live to weather the economy * First to the Moon and Beyond * First in Engineers Per Capita * Second for Cost of Doing Business * Third for Cost Of Living * Fourth Lowest Crime Rate * Fifth in Culture & Leisure * Sixth Educational Attainment. * Sixth Best Place For Business And Careers
The real question is why we would let someone from Hardvard in Huntsville...?
