Well WMEX has already said they don’t want him—too expensive; WCAP in Lowell, probably the other one mentioned, might take him but consider that WCAP is dropping Howie Carr and picking up Jeff Santos, a progressive talker who BUYS TIME to be on. WCAP figured it was better to make some money with a brokered show instead of paying for Howie, who already can be heard fairly well in the area on WRKO.
Their morning guy Jeff Kuhner, who will get the noon WRKO slot, does have a following and will make money for them. Rush was costing WRKO big time and the ratings were suffering in a fairly liberal city. At least WRKO isn’t going “...progressive...”
