As A Russian-American Jew living in the US, I have to say that I’m disgusted with the fact that almost eighty percent of American Jews voted for Obama. It is absolutely ridiculous. It seems that Jews that have been in America for more than two generations forget that Israel’s existence should not be taken for granted. Obama is a disgrace with his connections to the PLO and to anti-semitic members of his “church” and to the Nation of Islam. Hopefully Israel will attack Iran before Obama is sworn in. God knows with him and Biden in control, Ahmadinejad will be a frequent and honored guest at the White House

Most Russian Jewish immigrants to the US are Republican because they look for foreign policy in their candidates. Republicans have always been more aggressive (in a good way) towards terrorists and their sponsors, and have been more adamant and truthful to their support for Israel. I, as a Russian Jew, cannot understand why so many American ones are liberal.

Yeah. Russian Jews by far and wide are voting Republican because they understand what antisemitism in contrast to American Jews who are not yet familiar with it firsthand. Lots of American Jews, unfortunately, do not realize the consequences of voting for a man who Hamas has endorsed. Just like when Hitler rose to power many Jews were ignorant and reassured themselves that “a noble and cultured people like the Germans” would never commit inhumane acts. Yeah, apparently those Jews that survived the Holocaust learned their lesson. American Jews have not. Only when do they see Obama supporting the “palestinians” will they ever realize the consequences of their ignorance. Obama has dined with Edward Said (anti-semitic, anti-western, anti-Israel “historian”) and told him to “keep up the good work”.

  • Voting for Obama and being pro-Israel are mutually exclusive

Many Jews, especially those from immigrant families (esp from former USSR) are staunch Republicans and anti-Obama. It is probably due to their first-hand experience and familiarity with fierce antisemitism in their birthplaces. They value Israel, as do many Jews in the United States, and vote Republican seeing that conservatives tend to be more supportive of Israel. Obama is not a favorite among Russian Jews in the United States because of his known sympathetic stance with the Palestinians (he attended an Arab conference and dined with Edward Said- a very anti-Western “historian”), his willingness to sit down with a Holocaust-denier who threatens to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, and his nuclear weapons advisor’s ridiculous comments about making Israel remove its nuclear weapons. It is just as puzzling to Russian Jews as it is to many Gentile conservatives as to why some American Jews are liberal.
