yesterday, i took my niece to do some fishing in tacoma on the pier we always go to. there was a guy there tossing a lure out and he hooked a 'small' harbor seal in the mouth. well, he pulled it up to the pier and i got it into my crab net. it took 2 of us to pull it up as it was heavier than it looked. one guy said that once it was up it would be very docile. well, you coulda fooled me as his eyes and mouth were open wide and his head movements were ...

only the middle of the week and i am SICK of 'clintoninthenews'!!! i was thinking about the classic film 'the day the earth stood still' and a great line from the movie. the people in the boarding house were having breakfast and listening to the radio reports about the 'aliens'. politics was brought up and one of the gents at the table says 'they're not human, they're democrats'! (i believe that was the line). i still get a good laugh from that one.

the weekend's here. let's go shooting! i have been into muzzleloading since about the mid 70's. i took a long hiatus due to another expensive hobby (motorcycles) and had to give that up due to the expense but mainly to physical problems. i recently sold my big twin to a guy in indiana. i am in WA state. i will miss riding, but then again, i won't. anyway, my rifles have been in mothballs and were only taken out for an occasional oiling. now they are being prepared to hit the range again. i am waiting for some 'teflon sprayed' ...

greetings! this will be my first post and i hope you find some interest in it. it's the weekend and a break from the real world is welcomed by many. this is something i've looked into and found some interesting things that have happened. no doubt it's hard to find everything and i think there will be slow responses as guys and girls try to dig around to find events from their b'days!
