Again and for the last time, deportation of 11 million people is not going to happen. It is silly to hang onto this idea because it is not going to happen. If they decide to stay, they do NOT have to be declared citizens or allowed to vote if the bill does not grant these priviledges. There are plenty of non citizen aliens in the USA and most other advanced countries in the world. The mere fact that they choose to live in a foreign country does not give them citizenship or the right to vote, or receive welfare payments period. Cruz’s suggestion that a path to citizenship be stripped from immigration reform is sensible and doable.

Here is the way it is. Eleven million people are NOT going to be deported. I can see a solution where these people can be alowed to stay because we aren’t going to send them home anyway. They do NOT need to be granted citizenship or allowed to vote. Why should they? As non citizens they also should NOT be allowed to collect any form of welfare including Obamacare. Why should they? If they do work they need to pay taxes just like everyone else. If they need help then there is family and private charity and also the option of going back home where their actual government could help. The American taxpayers can not shoulder the responsibility for every person in the world. In the future, the new immigration policies can never allow illegal aliens to pile up here again. These illegals came here to work or to be around family. They didn’t come here to become citizens or to vote and they shouldn’t be given those priviledges especially since their first act on American soil was to break our laws and violate our sovereignty.

There are plenty of legal non citizens who work in the USA or any other country, for that matter, and therefore have to pay taxes. This doesn’t make them citizens nor give them any expectations of being able to vote. If this somehow becomes one of the conditions for immigration reform and for coming out of the shadows without the threat of deportation, so be it. I don’t understand the problem. This whole concept, if this is what Ted Cruz is talking about, may be the solution to the whole issue.

The illegals who will never become citizens, never be allowed to vote, and never collect general welfare benefits would still have to come out of the shadows and identify themselves. Upon identifying themselves they would be eligible for a green card and the legal ability to work and pay taxes. This is not new, there already are plenty of legal visa holders who are not citizens and who work and pay taxes. These legal visa holders are not eligible for general welfare benefits just as non citizen illegals would not be eligible for general welfare. If someone thinks to commit fraud, this is a crime and should result in deportation. If someone like this can not make it with their own resources or with the help of friends/ family and private charity, they should return to their country of citizenship. Obviously all of the elements of the immigration bil need to be strictly enforced and a repeat of the current situation must be avoided at all costs.

You can’t deport the 11 million illegals because it would not fly politically. To be truthful, Romney was onto something with the self deportation comment. If those people can never qualify to vote, then they are of limited value to democRATS. Even if they would be allowed to stay and work, you have to bar them from general assistance programs. When needs arise in their personal lives they can either go home or rely on family and/or private charity. If they truly like being here so much, their own family and community should see to their welfare needs and not the American taxpayer. Before the Roosevelt/Johnson welfare state all Americans were expected to work out their needs through means not involving mass government dependency. We need to go back to that model.

Cruz’s new proposal is so important because this immigration wave is going to stay a wave and it needs to be stopped. We can not allow every person in the world to become an American voter and net taker from the American Treasury. If you are not a citizen you should not be voting or collecting even if it is not possible to enforce a deportation. Without the benefits and pandering from deomocRATS, many of the 11 million illegals will go home.

Any news yet on the citizenship status of these three and I am real interested in the voting registration of these three perverts. Could someone in Ohio please let us know.

Did they find suspect number 2’s unused Welfare EBT cards because there likely was enough money left on those cards to purchase a little beer for the weekend or maybe some exotic pot from a medical marijuana store. These guys would have a very low IQ if they didn’t take advantage of this windfall. Maybe they had adequate balances on their own free state EBT accounts. Let’s hope so.

As a former corporate executive it was always a little daunting to have work with and please important outside investors. In some cases it was rewarding when the investor was likable and willing to have a mutually beneficial relationship. In other cases it could be intimidating when the investor tried to create an atmosphere of dominance and intimidation. I am betting that it would not be fun to work for George Soros.

To those with typical knee jerk anti-Bush responses, how did you like the guy who preceded George W and the guy who followed him? George W is a decent human being and a patriot. We were lucky to have him. The alternative, if you recall, was Albert Gore.

I was proud and happy to have have George W as our President. He respected all points of view, and if anything, got into trouble when he veered leftward. Were it not for the economic crash brought on by democrat housing policies and fed policies, he was on the way to leaving the country far better than he found it? As for the war, did we want to leave ourselves susceptible to more terrorism? How did democrats vote on those war measures? History will be kinder to George W than the partisan political hacks referenced in the article.

This double dipping program is standard operating procedure around Anaheim. As a long time Anaheim resident, this standard operating procedure has me pissed off. Back in 2001 Anaheim had a Fire Chief who hit retirement age, either 52 or 55 I can’t remember. Anyway, he retired and took his $200,000 plus pension whereupon he accepted the same Fire Chief job down in San Diego for a salary of $250,000 or approximately the same as he received in Anaheim. You would think that either he should not have retired from Anaheim in the first place, or his pension should have rolled forward into a combined pension for the two cities at something approximating what he should get for one retirement, but not two. Boy, would you be wrong.
Public retirements are obviously set up to enrich the “public servants” at the expense of everyone else. They get rich while every working stiff, many who have a hard time making ends meet, get nothing except huge tax bills. This is WRONG and should be changed. SHAME on that Fire Chief for this obvious theft.

Did Politico or any of the commenters here listen to Rush today? How about, does anyone at Politico ever listen to Rush. I did listen to Rush today. It was obvious that he was being sarcastic. The Politico people are trying to make a racist out of him where there is no racism. Rush was making a point that there is little oppostion to immigration reform and that the MSM, which includes Politico, is the group that is representing that Rush and Fox are the leaders of the oppostion. Rush is saying that the MSM people drag him into everything even when he is keeping a low profile. The MSM, which is a significant mouthpiece for Obama, does this to whip up the low information voter crowd.

In years of listening to Rush I have never heard racism. Rather than identity politics, which plays into the hands of demogogues, Rush is all about self improvement and individual merit. Color, gender, race, etc... have nothing to do with anything in Rush’s world. Don’t be fooled by Politico and the MSM.

When she is deported back to the Dominican Republic, will she get to keep her free Obama phone? She’ll probably be granted amnesty and a voter’s card before she is ever deorted however. Are illegals eligible for drivers licenses in Florida?

Rex’s show was not to be missed. The biggest memory, and mystery of his show was the ride from the bunk house to Boomtown each week. Rex and Pablo would meet at the bunk house and show a few cartoons between their dialog. Then it would become time for Rex to saddle up onto Goldrush, his trusty steed, and Pablo woud jump up into his horse pulled wagon. They would then race through the hills over what seemed like miles to get down to Boomtown. No matter how fast Goldrush and Rex would ride, Pablo was always already there before Rex. Unbelievable, How did Pablo ever beat those guys? and every week too. I’m still trying to figure it out.

Rex was truly a great man. Every year Rex would run a trip for Spring Break for kids, and parents, and grandparents to travel to Southern California to see Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Sea World. I always wanted to go, but never made it. Now I live here in Southern Califronia and go to those places quite often. It is like a childhood dream come true. Every time I go to these places I think of Rex.

Zero has been claiming that he has already enacted $1 trillion in spending cuts. What is he talking about? I suspect that it is 10 years of supposed lower spending due to abandoning Afghanistan and/or the discontinuation of the stimulus spending. Both of these categories were due to reduce after they came to an end. Think how much money has been saved every year since the end of World War Two. Does anyone know what BS he is slinging around?

Keep an eye on her bank account. She, no doubt, is the recipient of a HUGE payoff, courtesy of the taxpayers. Remember the Agriculture Secretary who ran the Pigford scam? She and her husband were rewarded bigtime. Just another exampe of Obama spreading the wealth around.

It does appear that public opinion on this issue is lining up with support for gay marriage. The court does, however, need to address the issue of whether a judge can reverse a constitutional referendum vote by the public or duly constituted laws on a whim. This legal question should be addressed whether it applies to gay marriage or any other issue. Consider the damage done by judges on the abortion issue rather than to let democracy takes its course. Also, should district court rulings by the few trump states rights?

I own a small business in an Hispanic neighborhood in Santa Ana, Ca. Starting in 2008 the population of people on the streets bacame noticably smaller. There were still young mothers with baby strollers, but a lot less. The number of day laborers in front of Home Depot dropped from, in my estimation, 150 to about 50. In about 2010 I asked the manager of the 7-11 how much business had contracted since the peak. Answer, 25% contraction. Ditto for a neighborhood market/liquor store where I was told the drop was 25%-40%. The population of Santa Ana dropped from a high of 347,000 to 326,000 in the 2010 census. It is probably less today. Anecdotal information about some of the people who have gone back to Mexico indicates that they are finding jobs there and won’t be back. I believe that Barone’s report is correct as far as what is happening now. The book is still open on whether the northward migration will ever resume.

When the absentee ballots and provisional ballots were filled out the vote totals had not been determined yet. The strategy, pretty obviously would be amass large amounts of additional votes in case they came into play such as with Florida in 2000 and Illinois in 1960.

I agree with that Dodd and Frank should be at the top of the list. I also nominate Pelosi and Reid. They had a majority for four years and ran up the numbers with no hesitation.

I am also a former Baystater who left the ancestral sod a long time ago. The place is beautiful and full of history, but also very dead in the present.

Here is a point of contrast. In 1975, after the famous Red Sox vs Reds World Series, Carl Yastremski attended a rally on that very spot which I attended. I worked in the green, glass building on the other side of Main Street behind City Hall in the video. The Common was jammed to overflowing and Yaz promised that the Sox would be back next year. They weren’t. After the speech a line formed down Front Street and Main Street while Yaz retreated inside Home Federal Bank to sign autographs. After about 3 hours he broke for a sandwich and someone told him that he could leave if he wanted to. His answer was “No, I’m not leaving until every last person in line gets an autograph.” All of this was reported in the Worcester Telegram the next day. No wonder Red Sox fans loved the guy. As for the fake Indian Princess, not so much.

I think the number will be over 8.0 Goolsby was on a Sunday show last weekend and said that September was an unusually good report and that this positive result would likely somewhat reverse in October. I think he had already seen some numbers and was preempting them so that a decline would be old news. We shall see.

Here is a little history lesson for those who need reminding. In 1994, the year of the epic Republican take over of Congress, no one in the MSM or most pundits saw it coming. The polls at the time did not turn towards the Republicans until the very last week and even the weekend polls before the election did not really show the magnitude of what was to come. Go back to Reagan vs Jimmah, same thing, the change was late and not picked up by a lot of experts. The momentum this time is greater and sooner than those two historic elections. I believe there is a reasonable chance of an epic Republican victory on election day. With this tidal wave will come additional Senate and Congressional victories for Republicans, some totally unexpected. Hang on everyone, this could be fun.

We checked with UN Ambassador Susan Rice and her unbiased opinion is that it is obvious that Romney had a spontaneous reaction that the 47% are not patriotic citizens who should even be allowed to vote at all.

I think salaries are ridiculousy high and teams should follow the template of the Oakland A’s and try to cobble together a cheaper team which can be very exciting for fans when it all works out.

The most telling statistic is that Zero still only scores in the mid 40’s. As the incumbent, if the election were held today, he would probably score not much higher than that. In other words, the current Rasmussen poll is not worrisome at this time.

Johnny Pesky was agreat American. His impact on baseball fans in New England is unlikely to be matched any time soon by anyone. There is a book by Dick Flavin called Teammates. It is about the lifetime bond between 1940’s and 1950’s Red Sox teammates Johnny Pesky, Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, and Dominic Dimaggio. You don’t have to be a baseball fan to really, really enjoy this book. It is not really about baseball so much as it is about friendship and loyalty. It is one of the best books I have ever read and it will tell everything you need to know about Johnny Pesky.

Watch the Rasmussen poll over the next 3 days because Romney will be racking up additional points onto his lead. Why? The very bad employment numbers will begin to resonate with more and more people. Sometimes it just takes awhile for the memo to get around to everyone. At the end of July will come the 2nd quarter GDP Report and Obama will take another leg down. This is going to be fun.

I enjoy studying American history and, in that context, I believe that Rush is truly a significant person in the history of America. I would compare him to Sam Adams and Paul Revere of Revolutionary War days. He is an absolute original and is definitely working for the betterment of the country he loves. In North Carolina gay couples can still continue to marry as long as they each marry a person of the opposite sex. This has always been true in North Carolina and all of the other 50 states as well. North Carolina has it right. Gay couples can sign contracts with each other, but they can not be married. Good call, North Carolina.

I saw a statistic today which is very favorable for Obama. It is being reported that during his 40 months in office five million Americans have been placed on permanent disability with the Social Security Administration. Guess where those votes are going.

Andrew Sorkin is a major liberal and has never had any remotely interesting to say in the 15 or 20 minutes I watch each day. If it weren’t for Joe Kiernan and Rick Santelli, the show would be a complete waste of time. When will NBC learn that conservatism is what drives political and business television. Liberal hosts drive conservative viewers away. Liberals watch The View and similar tripe.

I also see an imminent positive when the California house of cards comes crashing down. Takers will have to get jobs. Public pension plans will go broke so more realistic alternatives will be needed. Young people will see that hard work is a needed aspect of life. We can’t all be actors and singers. Maybe California can drill for oil offshore and on land. Does anyone know if fracking is an option for us? Unproductive public employees can learn how to transition to private industry. It will hurt for a while but then things will turn around big time. California was built in the days before welfare and government domination.

I actually hope that Brown’s whole damn plan fails miserably and that includes his tax increase referendum on the November ballot.
