According to draft guidance circulating around the Defense Department, military personnel would be required to work without pay if the government shuts down, reports the Air Force Times. That differs from the 1995 shutdown when U.S. troops reported to work and were paid, the article states. But the 13-page contingency plan, in which DOD highlighted which parts of the military would continue to operate if the government shuts down, states that this time the military would miss a payday if a shutdown continued through April 1.

I just saw this movie with my teenage son and found it very pertinant to stresses faced by teenagers today. The story line and acting is very well done and I highly recommend it for families with teens and preteens.

An article in a local Wisconsin newspaper brings out the liberal moonbats. What is interesting is that La Crosse is in the middle of it's big October Fest celebrations. It'll be interesting to see where he holds his rally and how many people will appreciate him "crashing the party" with politics. I know that if you work in a hospital or have immune problems, that a flu shot is recommended. However, I have a gut feeling it is becomeing America's "feel-good" asprin.
