In a Military Times poll, a HUGE number of people said that they would not re-enlist, or would consider not re-enlisting should DADT go the way of the Dodo. A large enough number to totally cripple the military for a very, very long time.
That photo kills me inside every time I see it now. It was already powerful to me, but when that medic took his life, that picture took on more meaning, more of a story just below the surface.

The family’s lawyer is saying he was handcuffed, the rep for the BART was saying that he wasn’t.
“BART spokesman Jim Allison has said the officer’s gun went off while police were trying to restrain Grant and that Grant was not cuffed. The unidentified officer is on paid leave as BART investigates the shooting.”
