KUDOS to Beck. He is quickly becoming the most powerful person in the media, and this IS what the media is for. To hold the Gov’t accountable. His ratings are trashing all the other TV outlets.

There is certainly something fantastic going on that the present administration (hello Axelrod) is refusing to admit. The quiet (and sometimes complacent) conservative MAJORITY has been awakened. Think about California. First they pass a law against homosexual marriage which is challenged and found unconstitutional. So...they change the constitution! In liberal California they changed the constitituion? There is certainly an arousing of conservatives happening.

Keep up the good work Glenn, there are millions with you and we’re gonna take congress back in 2010!

I didn't throw any one liner attacks, or attacks of any kind.

However, I do like concise statements.

It seems like you and I probably have much in common. I especially like your reference to Acts 2. It clearly shows Christ sitting on the throne of David, something many deny today. Especially dispensationalists. Acts 15 shows the Tabernacle of David being reconstructed by the entrance of the Gentiles into the Kingdom of God, another fulfillment denied by those looking for an ‘earthly’ kingdom.

The Kingdom was never intended to be seen by the physical eye (without observation). Yes, the signs (Matt 24, the destruction of Jerusalem) were there to let them (1st century saints) know when the Kingdom had arrived in its fullness. The age of the church, the Kingdom of God, is never ending (Heb 12:22-24, Eph 3:21), not some unforseen plan B of God.

The encouragement to study is for me also. I hope it didn’t sound condescending. If it did, my apologies.

The dating of the writing of Revelation is certainly debatable. Many scholars date it in the late 60s. The sources for dating Revelation in 96 can be traced back to a singular source, which is certainly not rock solid by any means. Between this and the internal evidence, for me, the dating of the late 60s is beyond a doubt accurate.

The great city in the Revelation is 1st century Jerusalem. In Ch 18 it is called Babylon, in Ch 11 she is called Sodom and Egypt (hint: where the Lord was crucified?). When Old Covenant Israel took on the lifestyles of the pagans around it, she was sometimes called by God and the Prophets by the name that best described her actions. The same is true here in Revelation.

The setting for the fulfillment of the book of Revelation is spelled out right in the opening and the ending of the book. The text of Revelation is sandwiched between two bookends of time statements.

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must SHORTLY COME TO PASS...

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is AT HAND.

Rev 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is AT HAND.

The original recipents expected this in THEIR day. If was meant to be 2000 years in the future it would have had no relevance to its original readers.

God fulfilled all his promised and prophecies within His own time statements. This doesn’t always fit with our preconceived ideas. It is time to go back and study.

  • U.S. House Passes Minimum Wage Hike [The vote was 315-116.........]

    01/10/2007 2:44:24 PM PST · 22 of 245

I am currently in the process of losing my second job due to wages being to high for business in this country. I do not earn minimum wage but I work in a plant where most of the employees make at or above minimum wage.

There are around 100 people that are all gonna get some pretty good raises. Multiply that difference by 100 employees and well.....it is a lot of money.

My first plant sent it's work to South America, the one I'm in now is sending it to India and Mexico. Main reason is ------> WAGES.

I wanted to get out of manufacturing but now I know for sure because manufacturing jobs are gonna be leaving the good old USA faster than rats leaving a sinking ship.

The writer says "The portrait of America for the past three decades or more has basically looked the same. And I have never been in that portrait."

Well, he's getting close to understanding the truth. But he needs to realize it's not just the last three decades....but the last twenty decades! He's out of touch with America because he's never understood what Americas was built on!
