  • Susan Rice asked for "unmasking" for national security, source says

Reading the article, it’s obvious they are trying to spin this as something that was not political but of “national security.” They give just enough facts while omitting damning info in order the confuse the reader rather than enlighten. For example, they don’t give the time frame of surveillance... Nearly a year... Nor even mention that personal calls and family calls were captured.
The fact that Rice recently denied any knowledge of something that she herself did dozens of times is evidence that it WAS something she wanted to hide.

I heard that Valerie had secret service protection but I never knew until now that she lived at the White House all these years. Was that public knowledge or just now coming out in the news? Obviously the media knew about that arrangement if she did ... but isn’t odd that it never really was discussed until now.

  • PROOF Democrats Paid for RUSSIAN HACKING, Big Conspiracy to Impeach Trump

This article still misses the point! Russians did not “hack” the election because it was impossible to do so. No votes were changed or counted incorrectly. Despite the non stop media attempts to get rid of trump, he still won the election. if anything was “hacked,” it was the DNC, but how easy did they make it to be hacked anyway? Using “password” as your password is stupidity! Falling for a phishing scheme is stupid!

The most they can say is that the Russians tried to influence or mess with the election. But what did Obama do with Israel when he spent millions in taxpayer monies ? and Brexit when he said the Brits would have to go back of the end of the line ?

Words have meaning. The media and Dems use the term “hacking” the election instead of “influence” because it sounds worse. But republicans should keep saying the truth... They might have hacked the DNC because of the DNC inability to protect its information, but they did not hack an election ... Don’t let them get away with the propaganda

Does anyone notice that when they disrupt an attack, they will call it Al Qaida. But whenever an attack happens (fort hood, Boston, etc) it's never AL Qaida. It's always “move along... Workplace violence...worked alone...)

Good point but I also think that he chose to become a citizen In 9/11 for a reason. They know our laws very well and know how to use our courts to their advantage. He became a citizen to (1) deceive us about his intentions and (2) to take advantage of our legal system if caught.

Bingo! She-who-wants-to-be-He is the mother since she/he was pregnant and gave birth—THREE TIMES. He/she could not have been taking her “I want to be a man” medication if he/she were pregnant...hence he was actually a she when he gave birth.

If men and women are equal, why do women have a choice about combat and men have none? When my son enlisted, he didn’t have a “choice” about going into combat. just one more way to cause resentment.
One way to get women out of the service is to make it totally equal... Selective service.... Combat assignments for all. Treat the women just like the men and we’ll see how many Enlist. But the politicians will insist on quotas and 125 lb women will be able to carry less than the guys in order to be fair. Between this and the rules of engagement . Our military is being destroyed

It appears that different stories are being “leaked”...Hannity had information that is quite different from what is being “leaked” here. What Romney should focus on is Obama’s handling of the crisis....when did he talk PERSONALLY with his National security council? Axlerod would not answer a direct question about this. If he is saying he identified the attack as “terror,” why not meet with State and CIA, etc. to nail it down?
We know the answer....he went to Las Vega...he “phoned” it in like he does everything...

While I agree that Mitt looks wishy-washy here, it WAS his idiotic spokesman who said it....and he should fire him because it’s not the first time the guy has screwed up...

that being said, he does back up his interpretation based on the reading of the decision about the difference between state powers and fed’s the only way he can play this . He’s got to do more though..he’s got to say what he is going to replace it with (insurance across state lines, HSAs, competition, etc)as well as point out that taxes and wasteful bureaucracy of this monstrosity

THe more Obama is without a teleprompter, the better because his REAL ideas come out...not some hopey-dopey- or vague statement. With the teleprompter, he tells double-entendres without realizing it (?) and WITHOUT the teleprompter, he goes back to his same community agitator days...he can’t help himself.
FOrtunately, Mitt seems to be moving fast on these mis-statements about the economy so that he puts Bammy on the defensive.
I have to say, Mitt’s approach is a lot better than McCain’s.

OUr dog barks every time my husband says the word “Obama” fact, my husband called BIll Bennet a couple of weeks ago (before all the dog stuff came out on Obama) and he had our dog Achilles do what he always does when he hears Obama’s name...bark like crazy. Bill thought it was so funny, that he had my husband have Achilles do his thing off air so that Bill’s crew could get a sound bite of our dog barking.

Haven’t heard Bill Bennett lately, but wonder if he is going to play the clip because of all this...has anyone heard?

I got the same impression about the lawyers after watching the press conference...don’t be fooled by reading only the headlines. They were very forceful in their belief that Zimmerman should NOT be charged and had taken on the case pro bono UNLESS charges were filed against him. I definitely got the sense that they are worried about contact with them for two days. They mentioned several times that he has a bounty on his head..that he cannot seek help from anyone because he can be recognized AND because there have been death threats. They felt they had to announce that they were no longer representing him because ETHICALLY they cannot continue to represent someone who is out of contact with them, but they believe in his case and would continue helping him if HE chooses to contact them.
I don’t blame them at all...and I can’t imagine the hell that Zimmerman is going through.

  • Rush Limbaugh spokesman: Philly move from AM to FM nothing to do with MoveOn's 'tiny petition'

I live in the Philly area and am thrilled that Rush is moving to FM...the AM station is sometimes difficult to get in south Jersey, so this is a great move. I figured when they got rid of Hannity for Michael Smerconish (a local so-called conservative who backed Obama and was the “token” ocnservative guest on MSNBC) that Rush would be gone soon.

Here’s my prediction: 1210 AM will lose listeners and be surpassed by 990 AM (that carries Bill Bennett and others)

True...but if you look at the letters written by soldiers of all ranks from the Civil War period, the vocabulary was still impressive even when written to family members. For that reason, I did enjoy the vocabulary and Mattie’s diction in the Coen script. But you’re right about informal speech; for example, contractions would not have been used in letter writing, but they no doubt were used in speech.

Still, I think the Coen movie is closer to the novel’s dialogue, but John Wayne still was the best Rooster Cogburn. Jeff Bridges did a decent job, but the Duke was better. THe girl in the Coen version is excellent especially for her age.

From what I understand, the “formal” language seen in the Coen movie was put in because it is closer to the reality, it is truer to how people would have spoken at the time...a look at the letters from that time period shows that even the least educated (by today’s standards; they didn’t go beyond 8th grade usually) spoke and wrote MUCH better than most students today.

He doesn’t go to enough parties to satisfy the press? What is laughable is that they would print this without laughing out loud! This is the guy who has a party every night of the week...he doesn’t have to GO to parties...he GIVES them!!! The aloofness moniker fits because of the Mussolini poses, the anecdotes from others who have spilled the beans, and his general demeneour when he isn’t in front of a teleprompter; his treatment of Netanyahu is illustrative of how this guy acts with others.
COmpare Obama’s coverage with what the Republican nominees are getting from the press.....and of course the press says they aren’t biased
