    Lynch is a pretender?

You mean like the guy who let his gloves drop to his side after the first debate?

Or like the guy who left his campaign to have bailout negotiations in DC?

Or that same guy who hired some real classy advisers to sabotage his VP candidate? Those kinds of pretenders?

Give the guy a chance to prove himself before writing him off. You do realize he's a communicator and businessman, don't you? We on this board should think those two qualities should at least count for something. Evidently not.

He has to be a senator/governor/congressman because the professional career politicians have done oh so well for all of us. Sheesh. Look at where they’ve gotten us to this point. You don’t think they’re the problem and not the solution to the problem? Look at the Constitutional requirements to be president. It says nothing about having to come up through the ranks.

Don't fall into the thinking that says: "I don't use it or understand it; therefore it must be irrelevant." This is just the tip of the iceberg of what's coming down the road with social media.

Intercept means that our boys went up to check out the Russians. They probably got within waving distance and to make sure their "intentions" were pure and honorable. In the cold war, we did it all the time, and they would intercept us. Not major threats on either side; just a game they/we both played.

So, tell us again where it tells Christians to be cold-hearted about this issue? I've read plenty of verses that say to help the poor, orphans, widows, aliens. (forget for a moment that this is even a manufactured crisis.) Come on, what's your biblical basis for wanting to harm the kids instead? These kids are caught in a political football game unfortunately by politicians who care nothing about them. Think about that. Is it their fault their parents cared little about them or that the governments who allowed passage cared less.

You see, the politicians in a number of countries have created this mess, hoping, well, who really knows what they hope to achieve. So, the question is, why not reserve your hostilities and anger to the politicians who are responsible for this? It does you no good to attack those who are trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

Ok, we get you don't like CBN or Pat Robertson...big whoop. Does taking these kids in and helping them solve the problem? Absolutely not. Then again, what are you doing to resolve the issue? Have you expressed your anger by going to DC and demanding action? Have you camped outside your congresscritters door? Probably not. So instead you complain about what others are doing to help the kids. Real helpful, that.

Face it, it's a brilliant Democrat strategy to make the conservatives look petty and heartless. It's working too. We're put in a box.

There are no easy answers for politicians who do not want to solve the problem. You and I both know it can be solved tomorrow if the spineless in DC had the will. They won't though.

Or perhaps those who are Believers should ask: what would Jesus do in this situation?

The flyover folks won’t stand for eliminating the work requirement from welfare.
The flyover folks won’t stand for bureaucratic imposition of carbon limits resulting in the shutdown of coal fired power plants.
The flyover folks won’t stand for the federal government banning incandescent lighting, requiring engine ruining ethanol in their gasoline, eliminating phosphates from their laundry detergents, or limiting the amount of water their washing machines and toilets can use to the point they cannot perform their function.
    The flyover folks won’t stand for . . .

Based on their track record to date the majority of the flyover folks will walk down to the collection points and turn in their guns when they are told to do so.

    ETE Enterprises says this:

We have worked on a variety of high profile projects for the U.S. Government over the past nine years including:
    • STIR (Disaster Recovery planning, IT Security Policy/Testing , Architecture, Windows Active directory deployment and migration, ID and Access management (IDAM )design and support, Certificate Management (digital signatures), IBM Rational Suite Support for source code control, requirements, trouble tickets (help desk) etc)
    • Subject Matter Expert (SME) services for IRS Modernized Tivoli and CA security Suite of Products (SiteMinder, LDAP, Access Management)
    • System Engineering support to IRS Modernization effort (Architecture, Enterprise Life Cycle (ELC) compliance etc.)
    • Technology Refresh across the IRS Modernized MITS 27 environment
Don't know the recency of their work but I'm pretty sure they're still in the IRS contracting game. Somewhere I read the IRS spent $2 Billion on IT so it could be a different division.

An IRS government contractor is responsible for disaster recovery and the ability to recover emails. Find out who that was and initiate an Inspector General investigation into them for malicious breach of contract and fraud. They will squeal.

Time for us to get busy then. The information is out there because the Gov. loves paper work. We just need to dig.

All right, I’ll ask a question that will certainly display my ignorance, but why is displacement in a sub important? I understand why the noise it makes would make a difference but how much water it displaces puzzles me. Thanks.

I just watched the debate on fast-forward/double speed (with a special program I have). Here’s what I noticed: out of all the candidates, only Graham swayed from side to side and was very nervous throughout the debate. I too had higher hopes for Nancy. There was just no passion there. I liked the military guy to the right of Graham (sutton?) and Cash...just from my brief view of their speaking and oratory skills, which we all know is not necessarily all that it’s cracked up to be.

And get flamed for too many vanity posts, or for one misspelled word, or for grammar, or punctuation errors, or....!

Boy, do you have that right! FR is an often belligerent and obnoxious audience to write for. I posted my devotional on here (after it was published on my blog first) a few times years ago, and it only took 1 person to lecture me on how the words I wrote was what was wrong with modern Christianity or some such malarkey...and he claimed to be a Believer. Dream killers really. Who needs it? Yeah, so I'm a little thin skinned. That blog/devotional has been updated every day for the last 6 years I'm happy to say!

To the OP, you're competing with millions of others. Where is the traffic coming from? Install a good statistics plugin (statpress comes to mind) (google it). You have to write and write and write to be heard, and even then you have to have others like your stuff. People spend years trying to figure out proper search engine optimization. And most do not succeed. One post will not get you a ton of traffic. A thousand posts might be a good start. Yes, it takes that long.

War is hell. Always has been, always will be. I count myself highly fortunate for not having to live through one. At least thus far...

And where I live every summer they have full reenactments of civil war battles (Gettysburg, Antietam, etc). I have never understood the fascination or the thought processes behind it. Most people want to forget "civil" wars.
