As for the person so concerned about the church vs. football issue. There are many colts players and one wonderful coach Dungy who aren't afraid to share their faith in front of the world...seems like they are just using a different method of getting the "message" out. I think they are an inspiration and should be applauded for it!! Jim Irsay was saved a few years ago from what I understand too.
Also, there is a difference between fellowship and idol worship. If the colts win I'm happy for the players and "colts family". If they lose..I'm proud as punch of them also. The NFL is a business and the colts franchise is a business, but the folks who play are real live breathing folks doing a job. I respect the colts team and proud of them as "people".

Also, it's too bad some people are so offended by colts members praising God in public. Strange reaction. Oh they could go out and act like the Pacers and Detroit did..gee whiz!!

It seems alot of folks in the Baltimore area still have anger "issues" from the Colts leaving. I would think that would be insulting to the Raven's team.

How many years ago was it that Daddy Irsay pulled the Colts out of Baltimore? Let's see...Payton was 8 years old. It's time to let it go and get over it.

And some people can't grasp that giving God praise for anything shows humbleness and shouldn't upset their sensibilities. I really respect Coach Dungy after the tough times that he and his family have been through this year. Dungy is a living example of loving God in the good time and bad times. It's not a matter of just "a football game", it's a life style for him. I'm sure some people just don't get that. I feel sorry for them.

I'm happy for the whole Colts orgainization, players, Payton, Dungy, Jim Irsay and all Colts fans.

I was watching also. Thought it might be fun with Jane, she was funny in the commericals. I just turned it off when the "surprise" came. My second thought was how the ratings machine was handling the sucking sound of channels being changed..Too bad. Hollywood just doesn't get it.

Why is TV there and WKFI reporter Zigler had his mike broken by "Judge Matthis" from TV. And he was accosted by Jesse's jugheads. Zigler he was made to leave because he put ol Jesse on the spot. Why is TV STILL there if the authorities believe there will be safety issues? Zigler had to leave at 11:30 .."unsafe" my butt.

Dear One,

This is so sad to lose a loved on during the Christmas season. My parents both died over the 4th of July (different years).

You are allowed to grieve just as Jesus did over his beloved Lazarus. You will miss her, but you have the comfort of knowing you WILL see her again. There will be waves of grief and yet happy memories and God to sustain you. Cry when you need to, and be happy when that comes too.

Went to Mt. Comfort air show here in Indianapolis Saturday to witness the precision of the Blue Angels. Friends were retired navy also. We were so very proud of our "angels". The show was awesome and I wanted to go back on Sunday!

The cheers were heartfelt when the "angels" flew over.

I think she has the right stuff and will be a force to be reckoned with. Marketing is marketing. As a woman who has lived through the "liberating of women" days, I find it a real joke when someone complains that Danica should not have great photos of her done.

I think back to when the women's lib movement started. All women wanted to be taken seriously so consequently, anyone who was beautiful and promoted themselves as such were harassed. But look what has happened...we now have Paris Hilton, Pam Anderson, Brittney, Lil' Kim, J-LO, and hundreds of stars who promote themselves as sex symbols. ). As long as these folks are rich and call their own shots, it's OK to "sell out" to the sexy image. Right..... that is what it is all about ...selling...
I'm sorry, but as a woman, I've seen the times change and yet stay the same. The average looking woman is ignored and the sexy babe is adored and fawned over in the media. It really hasn't changed. The only real difference is smart talented and even unattractive folks have learned that getting a law degree or medical degree (for example) gets respect and can call their own shots. Beautiful young women will eventually learn that once they age, unless you have a successful business, talent (like race car driving), or come into large amounts of money; you are likely to be "invisible" to the world of men and media. Of course, those folks who find meaningful work, give of themselves to a higher calling will not give a damn about how the world seems them and will survive the aging process.
But that reality is not what we teach our daughters. If you shop like Paris, dance like Brittney, have boobs like Pamela, hair like Jennifer and have a good self image (look good in the mirror) you will live happily ever after. Now we have come a long way baby..now haven't we? hmm?

BTW, I'm 53, attractive, and married 35 years with two wonderful grown boys. I was raised pre lib, lived during lib and learned life is not a race for independence but a race for loving, caring, sharing, giving, learning, knowing all is really in God's hands. He made the young beautiful (mating) and old wise for a reason. :)

As someone else said the money he has will be spent on bodyguards and security systems. He won't even be able to go on vacation with out someone reconizing him. I don't think this should be law, but it is a nice service for those of us counting calories.

My best friend and I went to Ruby Tuesdays BECAUSE there was a calorie count on the menu. And Applebee's has "Weight Watcher" points on some of their foods. It's a great "selling" technique and it's nice to go to a sit down restaurant with this convenience. But to make it law..nope. Most of the fast food places have a sheet you can ask for to see the calorie count on food. I frequent these restaurants because of the ease of ordering food I know I can have a "general" idea of calorie intake.

I decided to watch Clay's special the other night. I've never seen him before or heard him sing. It was a real treat. I truly was thrilled with the show and his "missionary" work done on that show. How many teens were watching? Nice to see a real "Christ"mas special.

This has been one of the most thoughtful and insightful threads I have ever read. It is one thing to read the hate filled rants coming from the left, but to experience the dissolution of relationships that have gone on for decades is soooo very sad. It is tolerance that pubbies have offered, however, radical dems want total acceptance, which can't be achieved and it just drives them crackers. Ironically, tolerance is what they profess, unfortunately, they don't seem to have it in them when the shoe (or Presidency) is on the other foot.

To each of you who has lost a dear friend, you have my sincere compassion. It does hurt. But remember, you are right and they are only showing their true colors.

Imagine being the family of those who have publicly denounced entire families relationships because their families live in the "red" states? That would hurt.

I watched C-Span very carefully to see how she was doing. She did lean a couple times and shuffle once going off the platform. She was obviously sedated in my humble opinion.
Kerry or someone had to be with her most of the time. She couldn't get down the steps very well without his help. I believe that is why the speech was put off for so long.
Teresa had to contain herself and she was having serious trouble. Anyone would be upset under the circumstances. However, had she not been so obnoxious during the campaign maybe it would not have been so tough on her.
The girls seems to hold up pretty well.

I can't stand the woman. She is crass and rude. Not first lady material. She is not connected to the real world. She is pathetic in my opinion.
