Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America Former agent, Air Force, office of Special Investigations David Gaubatz, infiltrated the Washington, DC based organization known as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR); the nation's largest and purportedly mainstream Muslim-American "civil rights" advocacy agency. The frightening facts he uncovered are written in the book "Muslim Mafia." Written by Gaubatz and his father, Paul Sperry, more than 12,000 pages of confidential CAIR documents and hundreds of hours of video captured in their undercover operation support their findings. The Muslim Brotherhood, an Egyptian based Islamic terrorist organization appears to be alive and...

WASHINGTON – A lecture by the woman who became the public face of the Abu Ghraib scandal was canceled Friday at the Library of Congress after threats led to concerns about staff safety. Former Army reservist Lynndie England had been scheduled to discuss her biography as part of a veterans forum on Capitol Hill. The book by author Gary S. Winkler is called "Tortured: Lynndie England, Abu Ghraib and the Photographs That Shocked the World." Members of the Library of Congress Professional Association, the employee group holding the talk, received an e-mail from president Angela Kinney saying the event was...

TAMPA – Bitter divisions over reforming America's health care system exploded Thursday night in Tampa amid cat calls, jeering and shoving at a town hall meeting. "Tyranny! Tyranny! Tyranny!" dozens of people shouted as U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor struggled to talk about health insurance reforms under consideration in Washington, D.C. "There is more consensus than there is disagreement when you get right down to it,'' Castor offered, immediately drowned out by groans and boos. She pressed on, mostly unheard among the screams from the audience of more than 200. "Tell the truth! Tell the truth!" "Read the bill!" "Forty-million illegals!...

Why St. Pete Pride grows Published : Friday, 26 Jun 2009, 7:22 PM EDT Steve Nichols ST. PETERSBURG - Saturday's St. Petersburg Pride Parade is expected to attract its highest attendance ever, making it the largest Pride event in the southeastern United States this year. Last year, an estimated 70,000 to 80,000 people descended on Central Avenue, and organizers expect to top 80,000 this year. The exponential growth has already made the event the largest Pride celebration in Florida, and has come about because of a number of factors. Chief among them is that a drought in Georgia that could...

GM wants to sell Hummer. It needs the money. Sichuan Tengzhong, a heavy equipment firm based in China, looked like a ready buyer. GM would like to find an acquirer that would save most of the unit’s jobs. Sichuan Tengzhong seemed to fit that bill. Now it appears that the Chinese government has killed any chance of a transaction. According to the AP, it is because the equipment company “lacks expertise to run Hummer.” The news is a strong indication that China wants to push its companies to expand abroad, particularly if they can buy depressed assets at fire sale...
  • The Abyss: Deepest Part of the Oceans No Longer Hidden

The Abyss is a dark, deep place, but it's no longer hidden. At least when Nereus is on the scene. Nereus is a new type of deep-sea robotic vehicle, called a hybrid remotely operated vehicle (HROV). Nereus dove to 10,902 meters on May 31, 2009, in the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench in the western Pacific Ocean, reports a team of engineers and scientists aboard the research vessel Kilo Moana. The dive makes Nereus the world's deepest-diving vehicle, and the first vehicle to explore the Mariana Trench since 1998. "Much of the ocean's depths remain unexplored," said Julie Morris,...

A TeaParty in Bradenton Fla. was put together in a hurry. The owners of a local citrus company let us use their facility for the get together. We had speakers from local citizens to politians from local and state organizations. The best part of the whole event had to be the kids that will be featured below. The kids seemed to be as excited as the parents that dressed them up. Fun was had by all, and the event was uplifting for all that I could see. Pictures below:

Cemetery Escort Duty I just wanted to get the day over with and go down to Smokey's. Sneaking a look at my watch, I saw the time, 1655. Five minutes to go before the cemetery gates are closed for the day. Full dress was hot in the August sun. Oklahoma summertime was as bad as ever--the heat and humidity at the same level--both too high. I saw the car pull into the drive, '69 or '70 model Cadillac Deville, looked factory-new. It pulled into the parking lot at a snail's pace. An old woman got out so slow I thought...
