On Valentine's Day Travis was badly wounded. This is an email from a Major to his parents.Today I talked to our embedded report from the Stars and Stripes, Steve Maraz. He was with Travis and his platoon when they were attacked and he helped the Corpsman treat Travis. As all the prayer warriors know, Jacquelyn Salcido has been battling Leukemia for almost 2 years. She has just had a bone marrow transplant and she is making her own platelets and things are looking more optimistic for her. I would like to ask for prayer for Jacquelyn. She's 7 yrs old and was diagnosed with luekemia in late June. The prognosis isn't that great, the doctors give her no more than a 50/50 chance to survive. She has been taking chemotherapy treatments every other week and has been a trooper and so brave. She is supposed to be having another treatment this week but she can't because she is too sick. She has a blood fungus and some kind of infection and she's in extreme pain. They have her on morphine. A 2 1/2 year old boy has been missing since 9:00 AM In New Mexico's Gila forest. He disappeared from the family's campsite and the best they could figure he was last seen 10 minutes before anyone realized he was gone. They have been searching since then on horseback and on foot.
