"Hint to reporters: 2.5 cm is a distance, not a rate."
I figure "she" (Hira seems to be a female name from Facebook entries) got distracted but "A rate of 2.5 cm?????" just needed a time period: per minute, hour, year, 1000 years, a million years, etc. but as you note its a useless fact without an associated time period.

I'm betting its more an 2.5 cm per week, Any takers?

It’s going to get COLDER. Much colder.
If we were paying attention we'd go heavily nuclear. That would allow us to power greenhouses, power if hydro drops off and well water production as needed along with population heat and light say if 1/2 of America goes under a glacier.

    From Wiki: Audience voting

It looks like at one point voting was on the top 24 but it varied over the seasons.

I watched early episodes from the beginning but was disgusted when they highlighted the truly bad contestants early on. It seemed a waste of time and ridiculing less than talented contestants.

They got better at showing actual talent and I became a fan again somewhere around season 6 but I rarely vote except for Leo Dewyze and Hailey ... whatever that season was. Thanks for your help.

In earlier versions of Idol did viewer votes only start at the top 14? They’re dumping 5 out of 12 this week and the same next week so only 14 will be “in” the voting.

Looking at the current contestants it looks like the judges have set up various “interest group” candidates (country, rock, R&B, Pop, etc.) including the tranny market before a single vote from America is registered.

For me, I just love seeing raw talent first introduced and then honed and perfected - I do believe they work hard with their candidates but to lose so many promising candidates without an audience vote is disappointing.

Of course, I cannot remember what I had for breakfast yesterday so I could be wrong here. ;-)

    Sirs?

I’ve been on Lisinopril (BP meds)for a couple of years which keeps my BP around 130 instead of 150-160.

It may do its job but also results in decreased libido without getting anymore graphic.

Couldn’t sleep so I’m throwing a thought or two out.

I can’t remember whether it was the NSA or the CIA (not the FBI) but one these agencies lost their hacking tools to the world that were specifically designed to make us look like “somebody else” was the perp. Some other country, some other “bad guy”. Now we cannot tell who did what.

In particular, we, the defender of freedoms had tools to make it look like the Russians did it. No doubt we had other tools to make any country look responsible for whatever atrocity. I believe any such techniques utilized by us make us as bad as the bad guys (including our own citizens) that we disparage and disdain.

Given that, whatever I read, from whatever source, I have to consider whether its true or just the Deep State screwing with us, the media (at every level including MSM, LSM & the net and even us) affecting the global meme on whatever level, whatever story, whatever they want us to think and react to.

Please Ms./Mr. Admin. allow me to say SHIT! I’d also throw in WTF? What can we believe, what can we trust to base important decisions upon?

As far as I can tell in our modern 21st century society there is very little I can trust - even the light of freedom in the greatest country in the world because there is a deep state. I have no solution.

What do you do, what can you think? Was it us trying to make it look like them and in other cases them trying to make it look like us?

The main problem is that the LSM/MSM cannot be trusted because they clearly have an agenda and so we have to sort out the various net articles to separate the plausible fact-based information from conspiracy theories that only cloud reality.

While I do not have “the” solution I do have a couple of thoughts on how to proceed to protect our freedoms, privacy and prosperity.

Posting because I went through the hunt and peck typing trouble of setting this up.

This is really just sort of a bookmark to remind me of an old project that needs to be brought back to our somewhat screwed up present for a better, more free, more clear future. YMMV.

    Night.

All you have to do is review the X42 Clinton’s efforts to prevent North Korea from going nuclear with payoffs. Oh, Ms. Albright has a hand in all this for when you see her on CNN.

The “Agreed Framework” with North Kora was violated on a daily basis while they were taking our money and energy resources. We gave them money, coal, energy and time to ignore our agreement. Obama set up the same deal with Iran.

Perhaps a more knowledgeable person can tell me why Iran needs 15 thousand plus centrifuges and a heavy water program for peaceful purposes.

Let’s also not forget that China couldn’t get a rocket off the ground until Bill Clinton (X42) took security items out of the State Dept. and put it in the Commerce Dept. and Loral stepped in with our tech to help China including giving them MIRV capability for free - or so I’ve read.

For those who may not know, MIRV stands for “Multiple Independently Re-targetable Vehicles” which basically means that one ICBM nuclear rocket can get over a country and then send 10-12 nuclear bombs to 10-12 targeted cities. Send a few up and we won’t stop many of them.

In case its not clear, IMHO, the Bill Clinton administration took ALL important, possible dual use technology, from the State Dept., gave it to Commerce, allowed Loral to transfer huge amounts of tech to China so they’d end up with ICBMs with MIRV capabilities which have likely been transferred to North Korea and will likely end up in Iran. Any questions?

Sorry Ron. Hillary says hi. All of the forgoing is just my opinion based upon things I’ve read over 30 years. I could be completely mistaken but regardless of my current position I have no intention to commit suicide with two or three bullets to the back of my head or for any reason whatsoever.

If I die an untimley death please look into it. These days it seems that anyone who speaks out can become a target.

I’m even more silent than you. I don’t watch until I can blow through the commercials and I don’t want any spoilers.

I do not cover all the posts but I hope this guy gets his Alpaca. In Arizona, at a friend’s place a Llama attacked my wife with our baby son in her arms. Those are big animals and I hope all goes well for him. He does have talent, he’s just not top ten marketable.

She was knocked down but protected our boy. There are parts of Idol that I do not like especially playing the in/out game. At least they’ve cut down on putting fools on national TV for the OMG type of audience.

I watch for the true, outstanding, soul wrenching performances from amateurs who really hit it. I record “The Voice” but it sucks. Idol may be manipulated but the voice is an out and out fraud (IMHO).

What I love is seeing raw talent emerging and the results of their coaching and practice.

In case its not clear I do roll through the often insightful and entertaining comments and appreciate your efforts. Just so you know.

    Thanks.

I was leaning against a cottonwood fence in a barnyard talking to my first dear when her gal friend came up and without a word they looked at each other and just started laughing and the gal friend said “How many times?” and my gal held up five fingers. I know, kind of bragging ...

I was definitely gutted that afternoon but have survived many more hunting trips.

Setting one up right now in fact but for my wife of many years all she has to to do is wiggle her hips and I get gutted again.

So, as a public service, I will say in closing that getting your gal a Hula lessons DVD or class is highly recommended. Trust me, worth every penny. Good hunting. ;-)

Thanks - added it to our Netflix queue - hopefully will help me through the no football season.

I think I’ve noted this before but one more time: Taking away our truly American game of football from us simply because some overpaid jerks are taking a knee is outrageous.

Pre-protest era I fell in love with college football over the NFL for sheer effort and enthusiasm for the game. Also my home team is the Tampa Bay Bucs. I cannot imagine how a team could be more badly managed.
