    KIRO 7 News ^ | March 1, 2017
A second grade student was placed into handcuffs at a Tacoma-area elementary school on Wednesday afternoon. The Franklin-Pierce District spokesman told KIRO 7 News that the boy was “assaultive” and school employees tried to deescalate the situation. School employees used some physical techniques – mostly trying to hold him and prevent him from harming himself. When they could not control him, they called a school resource officer from Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. That officer handcuffed the boy. KIRO 7 News reached out to mother Amanda Bullinger. She says her son has a sensory processing disorder and has been bullied for months. Bullinger...

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. said Gary Cohn will receive more than $100 million of stock and cash that would otherwise have been locked up for years as he leaves the Wall Street firm for a role in the Trump administration. Goldman said in a filing Tuesday that it had made available immediately Mr. Cohn’s outstanding stock awards and long-term bonuses accumulated over his 25 years at the bank, many of which he spent as the heir apparent to Chief Executive Lloyd Blankfein. Mr. Cohn received $65 million in cash to cover his potential future bonuses at the bank, according to...

The provocative far-right firebrand spoke at Kane Hall Friday night, mocking liberals to big laughs and a standing ovation. Dozens protested outside the hall, and one person suffered potentially life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. (Note: Attendee shot by Protester) One man was shot and wounded, several people were hit with paint and officers avoided flying bricks outside the University of Washington’s Kane Hall on Friday night, where Breitbart News editor and provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos addressed a crowd on President Trump’s Inauguration Day. The 34-year-old shooting victim was in critical condition Saturday morning after undergoing surgery, at...

    Israel News Agency ^ | February 2, 2015 (OLD!) | joelleyden
Jerusalem, Israel — February 1, 2015 … Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud Party exposed a US related political marketing organization staffed with former Obama campaigners now working to defeat Netanyahu in an upcoming general election. Victory 2015, or V15, attracted US media attention after it hired 270 Strategies, a consulting firm whose senior leadership consists mostly of former top staffers for President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. During a press conference Sunday, the Likud Party officially accused V15 and other related nonprofits of being supported “through millions of dollars funneled from Europe, the US and the New Israel Fund and international...

The New York Times (Fake News Alert!) ^ | JUNE 4, 2015 (OLD!) | DAVID E. SANGER and JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration on Thursday announced what appeared to be one of the largest breaches of federal employees’ data, involving at least four million current and former government workers in an intrusion that officials said apparently originated in China. The compromised data was held by the Office of Personnel Management, which handles government security clearances and federal employee records. The breach was first detected in April, the office said, but it appears to have begun at least late last year. The target appeared to be Social Security numbers and other “personal identifying information,” but it was unclear whether...

  • Reid, Democrats trigger ‘nuclear’ option; eliminate most filibusters on nominees (OLD)

Washington Post (An Admitted a Fake News Site) ^ | November 21, 2013 | Paul Kane
Senate Democrats took the dramatic step Thursday of eliminating filibusters for most nominations by presidents, a power play they said was necessary to fix a broken system but one that Republicans said will only rupture it further. Democrats used a rare parliamentary move to change the rules so that federal judicial nominees and executive-office appointments can advance to confirmation votes by a simple majority of senators, rather than the 60-vote supermajority that has been the standard for nearly four decades. The immediate rationale for the move was to allow the confirmation of three picks by President Obama to the U.S....

When Trump started his historic run for the White House last year, I blogged that he would change more than politics. I said he would forever change how we view reality. And so he has.  The mainstream media and the public now accept the idea that Trump ignored facts, science, and even common decency… and still got elected. I have been telling readers of this blog for a year that facts don’t matter. Policies don’t matter. The only thing that matters is persuasion. And Trump has plenty of persuasion. To be perfectly clear, when I say facts don’t matter, I...
  • Counties in Washington that rely most on Obamacare voted for Trump

Nine of the 10 counties in this state that have benefited the most from Obamacare also voted for Donald Trump. How much are we obligated to care, then, when tens of thousands of them get thrown off health coverage? Grays Harbor County, along the Washington coast, is getting a lot of attention because it flipped from blue to red this election for the first time in nearly a century. Not since Herbert Hoover won back in 1928 had the county voted for the Republican, which it did this time, going hard for Donald Trump. “I trace everything to the radiating...

Imagine you are one of the anti-Trump folks who believe we just elected a racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-semitic, science-denying dictator. Let’s say that’s the movie playing in your mind. That’s some scary stuff. Now imagine watching the news as Trump reveals in slow-motion that he’s flexible and pragmatic on just about everything. Thomas Friedman at the New York Times just reported that Trump is – as of yesterday anyway – open-minded about climate-change science, and Trump is no longer in favor of waterboarding terror suspects.  You also watched Trump move to the middle on his immigration policies. And you watched...

"What Counts as a Contribution "Most people think of contributions as donations of money in the form of checks or currency. While these are common ways of making a contribution, anything of value given to influence a Federal election is considered a contribution. This section describes several forms of giving that are considered contributions under the Federal campaign law. All the contributions you make--whatever their form--count against your per committee limits." ..."A donation of services is also considered an in-kind contribution." Global Warming elected Trump. How? By moving the coal-producing PA and OH states from D to R. Coal is a key product of PA and OH (1, 2) 0bama planned to shut down the coal industry without Congress' approval (3). Clinton agreed: "Hillary Clinton Promise: 'We’re Going to Put a Lot of Coal Miners and Coal Companies Out of Business'"(4). In 2012, 0bama won OH by about 100K votes (5), and PA by about 290K (6). In 2016, Trump won OH by about 454K votes (7), and PA by about 66K votes (8). That means OH switched about 554K votes...

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Reports are coming in from several locations around the state of long lines at the polls, driven by high turnout that has overwhelmed the ballot-counting machines. "The volume is so high it's causing the backlog," said Tony Pires, the director of administration in Pawtucket. "The turnout is so large that one machine can't keep up with the volume." Pires added, "It doesn't seem to be a local issue. It seems to be state-wide." Lines of two hours have been reported at Summit Commons on Hillside Avenue in Providence. Pires also said voting machines were overwhelmed at the...

If Clinton had any ammunition left to shoot at Trump, she would have fired it on Monday. Clinton's position is being overrun. They are getting barraged from all sides. The defenses are crumbling. The allies are fleeing. And what is the best Defense? A great Offense. They have aimed nothing new at The Donald since the email scandal broke again. Therefore, one can conclude that the Clinton camp has no anti-Trump ammunition left whatsoever. It is time to double down on the attacks, and make them stick. Demoralize their troops. Fire into their backs as they run away, and kill...

I’ve been trying to figure out what common trait binds Clinton supporters together. As far as I can tell, the most unifying characteristic is a willingness to bully in all its forms. If you have a Trump sign in your lawn, they will steal it. If you have a Trump bumper sticker, they will deface your car. If you speak of Trump at work you could get fired. On social media, almost every message I get from a Clinton supporter is a bullying type of message. They insult. They try to shame. They label. And obviously they threaten my livelihood....
