  • Does Anyone From Seattle Know Anything About Mars Hill?

Mars Hill is a mega church in Seattle that has made front page news in the Seattle Times. Seems the media wants to demonize Christian churches that have internal problems. I was wondering if anybody here has the inside scoop. Seems our church invited a new church, 'The Seattle Church' over to share our space and sermon for one Sunday. I'm wondering if this is a spin off of Mars Hill. When I do a Google Search to get information on 'The Seattle Church', it always comes up with Mars Hill. Seem the pastor of The Seattle Church was a...

After church we had a chance at lunch to visit and talk with a beutiful young girl that just came from South Korea. She spoke very good English and said she just finished highschool. She will be going to the Central Seattle Comm. College and plans to later attend the University of Wash. She wants to study Political Science and become a teacher. He gave a reference knowing all about my Daughter and Son-in-law, where they live and where they work. I called my daughter to see if she knew anything about him. Suppose Hitlery runs for president. It is rumored she has a heart condition. Because of all the excitement, on the day before the election she has a heart attack. What would happen if (a) it is fatal. (b) she survives but she can not speak and is paralyzed. How would this influence the election? Would elections be delayed so the d'RAT's could find a new candidate? What would happen if she still win even though she is either dead or incapacitated?

    06/23/2014 10:52:33 AM PDT · by Vinylly · 16 replies
I've gone through the Second WW, the Cold War with Russia with their nuclear threat and all the wars in between but I felt quite safe with the leaders we had in those times. They really never seemed a threat on our soil (maybe it was because I was a lot younger}. However, for the first time I feel the threat is right in our own country, with the leadership we have, illegal alien invasion, the drug cartels and Muslim terrorists, not even to mention the economy. I was wondering if others felt the same way.

If God created man in his own image did he create these too in his own image? These aliens have one head with two eyes,-though big, a small mouth and nose and two small ears, almost like us. They have two arms with hands, two feet with toes and a small body. But if they are from outer space, they are very much like us. Did we come from these aliens or did they come from us or did God create two planets that are nearly the same? Of course that depends on whether these images are real or just...
  • Obama's Legacy:

    06/07/2014 12:23:31 PM PDT · by Vinylly · 25 replies
Every president leaves a legacy for the history books after leaving office. The strongest legacy I remember from Clinton was Monica Lawinski, sex in the oval office and 'I did not sex with that woman'. With Geo. W. Bush it was the 911 attack, invading Iraq and Afganistan. So far, with Obama it's a zero legacy to be proud of. All I read on this website is a whole series of horrible scandels. But that's only a part of his legacy. The most serious part is turning this nation into a socialist third world country. There is not a single...

We have gotten two recorded messages from Wash. D.C. (Fri. Sat.). They say they are the IRS, not to ignore their message and call this number-----------. The phone number they called from was (202)241-2158. We're afraid to call the number because it might be some kind of scam. We've always paid our taxes in a timely manner with an accountant. Seems like if we were to be audited we would get a letter from our local Seattle IRS office. Has anyone else received such phone calls?

Last Friday there was a post about digging up the fossil of the largest dinosaur ever discovered. Natural History Museums are full of fossilized remains of dinosaurs. Checking up on Google Search I find the the time line for dinosaurs is about 225 million years, and that was before human life forms. Where does that fit in when God created earth in seven days?

  • Why We Need the Second Amendment

    04/17/2014 10:55:55 AM PDT · by Vinylly · 14 replies
A few weeks ago we got a post from the Ukraine on how badly the citizens wanted arms to defend themselves. These past few days we, ourselves, also found out why arms are so necessary at the Bundy Ranch. So, I looked up the second Amendment of the Constitution: 'A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right to the people to bear arms shall not be infringed upon'. No wonder all the socialists and liberals want the second amendment abolished. According to the constitution guns were not just to shoot ducks and pheasants....

We've read on this website about the 18 year old boy who was expelled from school and sent to jail from an illegal search in his car where they found a knife in the trunk. When I was in elementary and jr. high school the boys would always carry a jack knife or fishing knife in our pockets, I still have my old fishing knife from elementary school that dad gave me for Christmas. The most sought after knife was the Swiss Army Knife. We always played cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians with our cap guns in the...

I thought today is the day Mr.0 gave Putin the deadline to get out the Ukraine. So who blinks first? Will Putin blink and get his troops out or will Mr.0 blink first and postpone the deadline and draw another red line? Or, will Mr.0 boycott Russia as he promised? If this happens China says they will call in all their loans to the US? If this happens we will all be up the creek. Seems like now there is no way to get out of this mess.

  • Too Many Churches In This Town!

    04/27/2013 3:44:31 PM PDT · by Vinylly · 41 replies
Across the street from us we have a 'First Congregational United Church of Christ'. They have a lesbian pastor, but still sometimes we have some discussions outside on the street. What took the cake, specially for a supposed religious person is when she said 'The problem with this city is that there are too many Churches.'(Her church is drastically losing membership) My jaw dropped, all I could say is 'The problem with this city is that there is not enough churches preaching the gospel!' (This city has the smallest church attendence in the country) What would you say to a...
  • What is Poland's Politics Today?

    04/11/2013 9:10:46 AM PDT · by Vinylly · 5 replies
I'm reading Michener's novel 'POLAND'. The history of Poland is so depressing it's reading has been a real struggle. I didn't realize Hitler's goal was to exterminate the Poles as well as the Jews and they were treated just as badly. However Michener ends his novel in 1983. There is a lot that has happened in Poland since that date. What kind of government does Poland have now? I am hoping that the history of Poland finally ends on a happy note.
  • The Fist Sermon From Our New Minister From Iran:

    04/08/2013 10:37:49 AM PDT · by Vinylly · 2 replies
A few weeks ago I reported on this website that our church added a new minister. He and his family were muslims from Iran who have converted and now devote Christians. Yesterday, they took over the services. His topic was 'Building Birdges'. An interesting topic because our church is planning on replacing the old church, and this hit us kind of hard. 'We should be spending our money on building bridges to converts rather then grand edifaces and towers'. Also, he was critical of the christian churches that change their beliefs and Bible to satisfy the on-going political correctness of...
  • 'Poland' (A Novel)

    04/04/2013 5:25:10 PM PDT · by Vinylly · 11 replies
    1983 | James Michener
I've read a couple of other books by Michener and I know he does not have 'conservative' ideals. However, Poland and the other Baltic countries have gone through one war after another. It makes me feel lucky that we are born in America, isolated from all this strife which is the entire history of Europe. However, just read the very first chapter of 'Poland', you get a glimpse of communism and what it's all about. How could anyone ever want to turn this county into a socialist/communist country when they can read what this type of government actually does?

    03/27/2013 12:54:26 PM PDT · by Vinylly · 9 replies
I have been recovering from a stroke, so, to keep life interesting I have been reading a few novels. I have now read most of the novels by F. van Wyck Mason. He once was a military officer but I don't know if he is now alive. He really knows his early American History of around 1775 and the conflict between the rebels, Tories, and royalists. You will learn how the New Englanders fit in, Boston, Rhode Island, Norfolk, Virginia and Burmuda. They were brutal on each other as was never told in school history books. I'm reading 'Three Harbours'...
  • Our Church Has A New Minister From Iran:

    03/25/2013 11:11:34 AM PDT · by Vinylly · 10 replies
About a month ago our church hired a new minister. He and his family were recently moslums but have been converted to the christian faith. The church denomination was able to get him and his family out of Iran. His real job with the church is to take charge of church finances however he is perhaps the most articulate minister to the faith I ever heard. His young teen-age daughter has just organized a website that collects money to help backward countries find clean water. This last Sunday he reported on his mission trip to Turkey. Just in a month...

Seems his business in Peking is a venture capitalist. Apparently there are lots of wealthy business people in China that are buying up U.S. real estate. He is here representing a group of them and his job is to locate depressed real estate that he thinks has the best potential to take the most advantage of a new real estate boom if and when...
  • About All These Shootings and Gun Control:

    12/16/2012 2:17:19 PM PST · by Vinylly · 33 replies
How come all these shooting are occuring in liberal d'RAT States? How come it's always the liberals that want gun control? Why is it that I've just read on this website that the governor in Michigan is being threatened by Union Thugs? Why is it that 99% of all thugs and criminals are d'RAT's even in the White House and public office? Why is it that 99% of inmates sitting in our prisons are d'RAT? Maybe it's about time we start thinking about who should and should not have guns. Maybe a law should be passed that all registored d'RAT's...

Ater all, when the d'RAT's were in control of Congress, they didn't have a budgit. They are going to get blamed for everything that goes wrong with this country anyway, no matter what happens. Nancy Polocy is aready blaming the Repubicans for stealing Christmas from the Christians, jews, and whatever. • Why Not Tax The Rich ???

    12/08/2012 6:55:13 PM PST · by Vinylly · 59 replies
From what I read, most of the very rich are liberal d'RAT's. Most of the politicians in Congress and Senate are multimillionaires. They out number Republicans by large numbers. Even the president is a multi-millionaire. Bill Gates, George Soros, and all those whacky movie-queens are millionaires. Nancy Polcat, Harry Inbreed are millionaires. Donald Trump and Mitt Romney are not liberal d'RAT's but they are a small minority. So, when all these liberal d'RAT's scream, 'Hate the Filthy Rich', all they are doing is screaming, 'Hate our Filthy Butts'. Why not just let them screw themselves? Most Republicans are small property...

Now that gay and lesbians are allowed to marry each other, or esteemed mayor has a new proposal. He wants to give each gay and lesbian that marries $90.00 a month as retrabution for crimes the city acted upon them for not allowing them to get married in the past. This payment could go on for their lifetime and is taken out of the general fund. In otherwords, taypayer money. My bet is, the new kooky d'RAT governor is going to see this and will think the whole state should be doing this as well.

I would like suggestions from other writers that counter act the teaching he is getting in his school, and still be interesting for a 16 year old.

Well, yesterday I discussed a liberal website called Outside Asylum, and my experience with it. For me, the best websites for political discussion are neither conservative or liberal, but unbiased. There's nothing more boring then talking to like minded people, but a website that can have a dialog between opposing minds without resorting to name calling. I found a huge website that everybody should know about, it covers everything from your hometown and state, science, religion and politics. As long as you follow their rules, you can have a good entertaining discussion. I use a different monikar there, but it's...

Mike Medvid once commented that liberal websites are most likey to ban conservatives that express their viewpoint then a consevative website like this one to ban a liberal that expresses theirs, simply because conservatives are much more tolerent and less hateful then liberals. I found this to be very true. I was a member of an audiophile website called 'Audio Asylum'. I too am an audiophile. They had one branch that was called 'Outside Asylum', where members could express themselve out side the realm on audio, which is often politics. Since these members are very liberal, very liberal viewpoints were...

Why can't they choose somebody from FOX News Channel for example? I'm sure that Bill O'Reilly would be an excellent and fair moderator. Doesn't the Republican Party have anything to say about who the moderators will be, just to...

Sorry, I don't subscribe to newspapers any longer so I was wondering about the Doonsbury cartoon. Since O'bummer has more homeless street people in US history and is the 'foodstamp' president, how has the cartoonist portrayed this ???
