Lets see who Republicans have left as Choices.

Hildebeast Mark II aka John McCain
Jimmy Carter (Reborn) aka Mike Huckabee (I say this as a Southern Baptist)
American Baby Killer aka Rudy Giuliani
    Cult Prophet aka Mitt Romney

There isn’t a Republican still running worth getting off the couch for.

And lets face it, none of the afore mentioned rhino’s have a snow ball’s chance in hell of beating Obama or Hildebeast.

So, Comrades, it is time to break out the Gold Hammers and Sickles, Red Stars, and Copies of Das Kapital.

You make money on open source products by SELLING THEM, just like closed source.

And Just like Closed Source Software the real money is in Support Contracts not software licenses.

Companies make Money on OpenSource software all the time.
Apple is at the top tier for consumer open source sales.
Then IBM and Redhat make a boat load of $$$$ in the Business world on OpenSource Software.

You should also note, that even Oracle lets you download and use their database for FREE, you just pay out the $$$$ for support.

    Yes, I have considered that.
But if your right on that, then when both parents are told, you should be able to see some concern on one or the others face.

If mom or dad is using the pc in the 10 year old girls bedroom to look at porn, the problem is worse than even I am suggesting don’t you think?

I am sure you are correct in some cases. But I know, when the kid has the pc password protected on their own login, that the Porn on their login is their own. Especially when the parents have to ask the kid for the password, so I can do my job.

If you don’t believe porn is targeting kids of 10 to 13 years old actively these days, well I am sorry to say you have your head in the sand.

Either use Text ads, or JPG/PNG image ads, or don’t expect me to view them.

Using all the animated Ads is the reason Adware/Spyware and such are so prevalent. I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes out that the STorm Worm is spreading through such ads. It wouldn’t be the first.

The classical political science definitions of Liberal and Conservative swapped terms in the 1960s.

EG a Conservative in 1800 is a Liberal by todays definition of the word

and a Liberal in 1800 is a Conservative according to todays definition of said word.

The Reason for the swap, part of the DNC plan to blame Republicans for what Democrats really are.

I majored in Political Science in Collage. One thing I remember when I read the Classical Definition of a Conservative, well it defined Stalin to a tee.

Basically you have to keep one thing in mind when reading liberal/conservative, that is when was it written. If it is pre-1960, they were still using the original definitions, these days the terms have swapped definitions so read accordingly.

2nd: Linux isn’t developed primarily by companies, but by individuals that choose to do so.

3rd: If companies prefer the BSD License, there are at least 5 versions of BSD you can download for free and do what you want with now. They are more than welcome to Sell BSD if that is what they want to do.

4th: The reason Stallman owns so much code is that the developers of said code Chose of their own freewill to do so.

5th: Any copyright holder is free to license their work under any terms they wish, whether they charge for them or not, is their business and no one else’s.

Last: These days most Linux fans are such because

2)They see the kind of Control Bill Gates wants over your PC, and don’t like it. Bill Gates and Co. want to tell you what your allowed to do with your PC and when, and what information your allowed to access and when. This is in large part what DRM is all about.

Secondly, This “CommieWare” as you call it is the only competition Microsoft faces. I don’t think this “CommieWare” is as commie as you think it is, as both IBM and Apple have figured out how to turn big $$$CAPITALIST$$$ profits on it, without breaking the license.

I don’t know about an automatic 2nd term.
I recently met Dr. Page. I don’t believe him to be liberal at all.

His personal about me page is:

He was elected at the last convention for several reasons.
    1) His church actually supports Southern Baptist Cooperative Program. One of the other candidates churches basically did not.
    2) Unlike one of the other’s running for the job, he didn’t believe in continuing to beat a dead horse.

It is time for Southern Baptist to capitalize on the Conservative gains made in the 80s and 90s, not repeat the same mistake that got the liberals in power in the first place by beating dead horses too the point that younger church goers go else where.

It is time to get back to the gospel, and missions.
Spending millions of dollars a year on bashing liberals doesn’t help either cause.

“As a So. Baptist, I am very unhappy with the “moderate” leadership!”

Not screaming at the world, eg unbelievers, to act like something they are not, doesn’t make you moderate or liberal.

Frankly I find that Some Southern Baptist leaders are more concerned with making the world behave like Christians, when as unbelievers they are not capable of such in the first place, to be asinine.

If you want people to live and behave like Christians, they must first become Christians and be discipled. Just telling them to stop acting like the sinners they are, don’t cut it. And They (the sinners) see through the hypocrisy of such.

The world cannot live like Christ, until they know him. If all your doing is telling them to “stop it” and “behave” you are doing them the biggest disservice possible.

“I have seen several websites from the Baptists who are quite opposed to Warren, and even argue that these types of churches are not “authentic Christians,” in that they do not follow the core message of sin and salvation through grace.”

    1) Those Baptist would be wrong about Rick Warren.
    2) Rick Warren (while he doesn’t use the baptist moniker) is a Baptist. He was trained as a Southern Baptist, and his methods are widely Taught in Southern Baptist Seminaries, especially in their missions classes. I know because I am such a student.
    3) Rick Warren uses a different method to present salvation through grace, and repentance of sin, that do traditional churches, but it is the salvation message the bible gives.

Now I realize Rick Warren is not a 5 point Calvinist, but then anyone who actually knows any Greek can’t be and be honest, just means he knows his bible.

I don’t agree with everything Rick Warren does, but I am not going to malign someone who is getting the word out.

Evangelical isn’t a Denomination, but being in a Denomination doesn’t preclude you from being evangelical.

To be called an evangelical you need to Preach This:

1Co 15:1 Now I want to make clear for you, brothers and sisters, the gospel that I preached to you, that you received and on which you stand,
1Co 15:2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message I preached to you — unless you believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received — that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,
1Co 15:4 and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures,
1Co 15:5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.
1Co 15:6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.
1Co 15:7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.
1Co 15:8 Last of all, as though to one born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also.
1Co 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
1Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been in vain. In fact, I worked harder than all of them — yet not I, but the grace of God with me.
1Co 15:11 Whether then it was I or they, this is the way we preach and this is the way you believed.

If that is your message of salvation you are evangelical, denomination or not.

I, as a Southern Baptist, Don’t blame Frank Page for the results of this pole. I blame the liberal/moderate pastors of the last 30 to 40 years, who never preached against sin, and Made Jesus out to be some all accepting God that will take you whether you accept him or not.

The Church I currently attend has many in it that accept abortion, homosexuality and other sins. These are the people that sat under the last 3 pastors the church has had, all of which (the former pastors) now Serve with the very liberal Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. It is these wolves in sheep’s clothing that got us into the situation we are in now.

Fortunately we have a new conservative pastor starting June 3.

I am all for preaching against sin. (abortion, homosexuality, or otherwise) But I don’t believe in doing it in a “God hates fags” sort of way.

The Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross is sufficient for all, but it is only efficient for those who accept Him. Without Him, we are all doomed to Hell.

His logic stats that as long is an action is normal for an individual, it is moral.

Therefore according to Boortz logic, nothing is immoral because it is normal to the person doing it.

So by his logic, there is no difference between murder, rape, homosexuality, public masturbation, Marrying a 7 year old girl or boy, etc because to the person doing these things it is normal.

Its called Moral Relativism, and its a load of horse crap.

    TO Quote Neal Boortz

"I think that homosexual sex is normal ... for homosexuals ... and thus is not by definition immoral. It is my firm belief that sexual orientation is a matter of genetics, not choice .. and that homosexuals are born that way. In other words ... God created them as homosexuals."

Guess this means, that since murder is normal for some, murder isn't immoral, since rape is normal for some, rape is not immoral. That is the logic of his opening statement.

Sexual Orientation is only genetic in that, you are physically designed for heterosexual Sex not homosexual Sex.
Homosexuality is a learned behavior. You learn it as part of abuse, or from Pornography. Homosexuals choose that life style, are embarrassed by it, so they claim God made them that way, so they can feel better about themselves.

Now, I am not a "God hates fags" person.
God Loves Sinners(OF which every person ever born is, homosexual or not), but hates their Sins. A person is more than the sum total of their actions.

Considering the Old Testament of the bible says to stone homosexuals, the New Testament or Christian command is much lighter, The Apostle Paul simply says not to associate with such persons. He doesn't say kill em, or other wise physically harm them, nor does he say to prevent them from working etc. He just says to stay away from them. It should be noted he was speaking of Homosexuals that claimed to be Christians when he wrote about that.

Personally, if I were Neal, I would stop insulting God, by saying He made them to be homosexual.

If Google is, as you say, Putting a Server on "every Network" Then they are paying that network for its Bandwidth and connectivity.

It still isn't a free ride for Google.

If the Net is changed from the way it is now, Universities, and Not for Profits, will cease to be of any consequence on the web. Because companies like Microsoft, EA Games, Blizzard, etc will be able to buy out all the bandwidth and control the content of the internet.

Oh and Btw, The Geography of a server only makes a difference now in so far as, geography determines the local time zone. The Time of Day where the Server's is located has a lot to do with its speed. (Because if it is during its day, the local isp it is on, will be maxing its bandwidth usage) This Is why during the evening here in the US, its better to download from Europe than the US.

Quote"If AT&T can get more money from Google, I say more power to them. Google has had the biggest free-ride in history."

Bud, if AT&T is not Google's Internet Connectivity Provider, then they have no business, or Right to charge Google a Dime.

Google pays their Connectivity Provider, who pays a telco (which ever one that is) for access to a trunk, and the truck owners pay to connect their trunk to other trunks so that the thing is actually worth something.

Google isn't getting a free ride, saying so makes you sound like a democrat.

Quote "So what? Maybe the big websites should pay more. Right now customers are being forced to pay while Google makes millions from free connectivity. Seriously, the Google boys argue over things like hammocks on their private 747. I'm not kidding. They're not hurting for money. Why should the average joe pick up all the costs?"

I got news for you bub, Google isn't getting free connectivity, and neither is any other website. They all pay for bandwidth to their respective ISP, who in turn pays a telco for trunk line access, who in turn pays the trunk owner for the bandwidth over the trunk, and trunk owners pay each other for connecting to each other.

NO one is getting free connectivity. That IDEA is a load of BULL.

The removal of net neutrality is about nothing more than trunk line owners being allowed to not only charge the telcos for their access, but to charge the isps and you and I as well as the website for our bits over and above what we are already paying them to sent our bits and bytes about.

A simple example for the simple minded.

Lets say I buy a razor blade at wal-mart. Right Now I just pay wal-mart for the razor blade and its mine. Thats net neutrality.

If you remove net neutrality, I pay wal-mart $5 for the razor blade, and I get a bill for $10 from Schick in the mail for the razor blade. Mean while UPS also gets a bill from Schick for delivering the Blade to wal-mart, and Wal-mart also gets a bill for the blade.

Now I ask you, is the removal of Net Neutrality really American? No, it flat out isn't.

Quote "Perhaps net neutrality can best be thought of as the government telling FedEx it can only charge 39-cents to deliver a letter overnight. That way the price of delivery - whether it’s within 24 hours via an express carrier or within six weeks via the post office - the price will remain “neutrally” the same. That’s simply un-American."

This fool doesn't know what Net Neutrality is about.

We have Net Neutrality Now, and have had it since the modern Net Came about.

Right Now, I pay a price for Internet access, Google also Pays a price for internet access, based on what their telecommunications hookup wants to charge them (based on bandwidth usage etc). The companies we pay our money to, pay big $$$ to the companies that Own the trunk lines that connect everything together.

Removing Net Neutrality means, not only do i have to pay my isp, who is already paying the trunk owner(hence I am really playing the trunk owner myself)But that the trunk owner will be allowed to directly charge me, and google or whomever I am connecting two, a second time for my traffic to go through their lines.

Removing Net Neutrality is nothing more than a scam by Verizon, Sprint, and other Companies that own trunk lines to double charge me for one service.

I repeat the way it is now, I pay AT&T for my service, AT&T pays verizon/Sprint for trunk access.

Google pays whomever their provider is for the same, and their provider pays the verizon/sprint for the service.

Now why in the heck should verizon/sprint be allowed to charge a 2nd time for the service we are already paying for?

If you remove Net Neutrality, yea, AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon may make a few more bucks, but a lot of companies are going to go out of business, because they cant afford to pay double for the service we are getting now.

Net Neutality isn't about price control, it is about keeping trunk line owners from double charging(charging 2 different entities for the one in the same product/service delivered) for their service.

If they want more money, the trunk owners should charge the isp's more which will then in turn charge me more.

When I was in the 10th Grade, opting out meant you when to the library and did a short research paper on eating healthy or exercise, while the sex ed stuff your parents didn't want you to participate in occurred in the classroom.

There is no reason the school cannot supply alternative work units for students whose parents don't want the school teaching their children about sex.

There is no reason to not allow graduation of students whose parents don't want them learning about homosexuality. Unless your agenda is to force that perspective on students that are not old enough to make such decisions yet.
